  • The Godfather II
  • The Godfather II
  • Eliminating much of the Grand Theft Auto-style gameplay that defined its predecessor, The Godfather II continues the storyline of the Corleone family on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. You'll still choke shop owners and rival gang members with the game's signature Blackhand combat system, but you'll also be able to view the action from a broad, strategy meta-game called Don's View. "We found the hierarchical culture of organized crime intriguing," said Hunter Smith, executive producer of The Godfather II. "Running an organized crime family in a world defined by family loyalty is something that we felt could introduce a new strategic element to the genre. That is what the Don's View is all about -- laying out a strategy to pick off the competition one by one."

  • Beyond Good & Evil 2
  • Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the long-awaited and much-rumored sequel to the critically acclaimed 2003 video game Beyond Good & Evil. The touching story of a plucky young photographer and her porcine pal continues with Beyond Good & Evil 2. For those who missed the first game, Beyond Good & Evil offered a sweeping conspiracy, plenty of stealth action, and some good-natured humor for what was, essentially, a feel-good adventure that a lot of people missed out on. No plot details have emerged yet, but Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot recently went on record, saying "Beyond Good & Evil was probably a little too difficult -- we're going to make it more accessible for the new generation that's come into videogames."
