  • In Dark Sector players assume the role of Hayden Tenno, an elite black-ops agent. After being sent to Lasria, a ruinous Eastern European country, Tenno suffers an attack leaving him with a strange infection that gives him super-human abilities. Tenno's infection is said to be the result of experimental Cold War technology and it will cause him to physically transform throughout the game. One result of Tenno's transformation is the Glaive. The Glaive is a disc-like weapon that protrudes from his hand; it can be thrown at enemies and imbued with the powers of fire and electricity among other things. Dark Sector sets itself apart with an integrated HUD - eliminating health bars or ammo meters - intuitive controls and a dynamic camera system.

Psychokinetic Wars allows players to wage war by using their choice of gunfire and/or telekinetic superpowers. Players can use telekinetic energy to rip objects from the surrounding environment and hurl them at enemies or draw on their powers to create a bullet-proof energy shield that protects against gunfire.

The single-player game has a "Hotswapping" feature, that allows players to instantly take control of any soldier in their squad to stay in the middle of the action at all times.

The gangs are trying to get by in any way they can, at any cost, and the enforcers are tasked with thwarting their criminal actions through justice, honor and teamwork. Best described as a classic "cops n' robbers" game built for online play, the game features customizable characters, lots of fast-paced car chases and shootouts as the criminals and enforcers wage a never-ending turf war for control of the city. More turf means better weapons and equipment, ensuring that capture points are never unoccupied for long in this frenetic fast-paced action experience.

Oft-delayed, Wake was celebrated as one of the best and most exciting games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo...in 2005. The Max Payne guys are behind this one, though, so we're willing to wait it out.
