They keep saying how some of the items are WAY too powerfull and that the game rewards you for being last, and kills you for being first. So the game keeps screwing the skilled players. Usually that would be a bad thing, but in my particular situation... it's a positive. I'll play mostly against my girlfriend, so maybe if she keeps winning she'll want to keep playing. If I beat her all the time, she would get bored.

Don't we buy games for the gameplay though? If it's fun, addictive, and controls perfectly, who cares if it doesn't have the best graphics.

this guy dont even sound like he knows his game history. He sounds like a noob when it comes to reviews and gaming.

you can actually do tricks on the gamecube controller you have to press the d pad up or to the side. it is just easier to use the wheel

At first I was (and still IS, to tell you the truth) V E R Y pissed off about the game's incredibly cheap A.I and incredibly overpowered itens. but then the game would lose part ot it's appeal. Yes. The fact that the game's in game ranking is constantly changing during the race makes the WHOLE race interesting, unpredictable and exciting (as much as frustrating, no doubt. but right after you get a blue shell on you, the game tries to "compensate" giving you many mushrooms and stuff like that). I think that people should understand that this game's mechanisms work in a way to achieve a constant battle for the first place. Nothing is defined before hand. Absolutely nothing. This game constantly pissed me off, but I couldn't imagine it being that much fun without it! As strange and controversal as it may seem. Truth be told. Its incredibly addicting online, but I still wish I could play GTA 4 instead!!!!! : / My rating: 9/10.

The guy deos sound like a noob. "I don't like how you have to constantly have to move the wheel" that's called being fun and realistic. You just need to get your lazy butt away from the old controlers. No affense to anyone.

I have Kart and purchased 3 extra wheels... And while I have to say I love playing online and solo... I cant stand playing the game with others in split screen mode... Even with my 50" LCD the ratio is all messed up and you cant see whats around the next turn... However, other then that one fault its a perfect game in its mechanics... On top of mechanics being near perfect it has a pretty easy learning curve... Dont be cheap spend the $50 dollars for this game...
