Splintercell Pandora tomorrow

This is the 2nd game in the famous splintercell series. Its as good as the first game. I got started playing stealth games with MGS and I have to say splintercell as a series is more realistic. MGS was a great game, but splintercell just has more realism. Also Sam Fisher is a total bad ass. The Game follows your typical action stealth game fair. Some where in the world there is some one doing or planning some thing bad and you have to stop them. Thats how I sum it up. Its pretty cliche actually. While your stopping the bad guys you will be glad Sam controls well. This makes taking out evil doers easier. He has a whole belt full of gadgets to assist him. cameras that can fit under doors like snakes, noise makers and cameras that stick to walls. Bullets that stun your enemies. This is all cool stuff.You will spend most of your time slinking around in the shadows only taking out enemies when needed. This is a stealth game after all, not purely action. The game looks good while you do all this stuff. I have the ps2 version and it doesnt look half bad. Im sure the xbox version looks better but still the ps2 version doesnt cause my eyes to bleed. This is a must own for splintercell fans. This game is definitely worth playing. You can probably find it for $5 now at any used game store.

GTA San Andrea

San Andreas is the 3rd game in the GTA series since it went 3D and using an open world sand box element. This game is great. Theres lots of side missions and other activities to keep you busy and playing for weeks. The amount of different types of activities you can do is mind boggling. I suggest sky diving. Its a real thrill and pretty fun. SA has a good story. Its as ood as any crime based movie I have seen. There are plenty of characters for you to meet and work for to make cash. They are also voiced by some big name actors. The voice acting is top quality. But unfortunately GTA still suffers from those same wierd looking in game movie characters with the wierd action figure hands. They also look rather cartoonish. The audio is of high quality at least. The car sounds and sound effects sound good. The weapons sound god for the most part but some of the spund effects sound recycled, so they sound the same. The Controls are responsive and work well. You can move CJ around pretty effortlessly. The auto aiming still sucks though. But in this game if you press down on the right analog stick you can use a free aim that allows you to choose your targets. The auto aim works well close up but at distances it still stinks. San Andreas looks good. It doesnt looks really great but GTA games arent known for eye candy. I think VC looked better but thats just me. SA also has a lot of new radio stations. Just like VC SA has all licensed music. I didnt care a whole lot for the music though. Its mostly rap that was popular in the early 90s with rock that was popular in the 90s. It all sucks. There is one classic rock station and from the looks of it in the manual you would think it was hard rock, but nope just alot of soft rock and hippy crap. No metal or hard rock at all. The Talk radio station is very amusing but gets old after the second or 3rd time you have heard it. I still think VC had better music. SA does have some multiplayer modes but thier mostly weak and forgettable. GTA SA does deliver the goods just not as well as VC. If your a GTA fanatic you will like this game. Also on a side note, incase any other morons tell you otherwise there is no Bigfoot, aliens or UFOs in this game. I checked area 69 (51) and found no alien bodies. Its all BS. Basically Rockstar made a bunch of open space and didnt use anything to fill it. So dont waste your time looking.

Madden 09

Madden 09 comes in this year with expectations of being the greatest simulation of football ever. The game is solid but the expectations and the resources EA has to make the game makes you feel that the game is made each year just to earn a profit it WILL get because it IS Madden. What are the good things:
1. Presentation
a.The game looks great! Stadiums are beautiful even the background you see while you are kicking a punt. The players looks great and move well
2. Attributes
a. The weapons systems is a nice touch. Doesn't make player superhuman but you use your strengths to create mismatches as you do in real life.
3.Chris Collingsworth
a. His voice is beautiful and natural. Anaylsis are great when you make a mistake just like watching the real deal.
4.Beginners
a. If u are a beginnig you can set the difficulty on easy as heck and have fun mainly with running up the field for 300 yds a game.

The bad: Sadly outweighs the good
1.John Madden
a. yes he was added back in at the request of fans but why? To give us a 5 second intro sometimes not stating the teams or the significance of the game? Thanks for being Obi Won in Madden trainer. Madden needs a little bigger role in his own game. Maybe be on MNF games or playoff games.Or if you are old and don't want too ..than don't!
2. Tom Hammond
a. PLEASE! we are aware that EA makes Madden and has done so for 20 yrs! "Just to let you know that our game is brought to you by the good folks at EA Sports." That will be heard probably twice per game! Very dumb. Thats not the main problem here. His voice sounds Mechanical. You know how the lady who reads off the phone number of a generic voicemail sounds? Thats Hammond.You try to press 1 to leave a message then she says "I'm sorry that is an invalid entry." Dangit can't get around it Need a different play by play. Anyone.
3.Feel
a. Madden feels shaky. The atomosphere isn't there. They is no feeling while playing just sound of Tom Hammond and tackling. Need more player chatter or the crowd involved. Better commentary would do it since it's main part of real game
4.Glitches
a. The passing glitches hurt. Throwing out routes is a hit and miss. Some receivers don't run routes causing interceptions. Best defender tackle can be broken by anyone.
5.Franchise Freeze
a. This may sound like a new dance by the steelers but it isn't. Some gamers experience their franchise mode lokcing up. Having your MAIN game mode freeze 2 out 4 games isn't good.

Econ 101:Competition

Our country is built on competition. Madden has no competition.Wheb you have no competition what do you get? USA basketball team when they lost. You were use to being the best and you let your guard down and got embrass and woped. Or Monopoly like oil. There is no alternative to oil so you can do whatever and charge whatever the big dogs are making money what are you going to do? Not buy? Okay. You need a LOT of folks to follow suit to make an impact. Madden has no competition so it can do what it want. a great marketing program builds hype and the game nevers totally sucks so you can always have the self hope " maybe next year will be good" And there is something about "next year" that makes you truly feel it will be a little better than next year and you get it and you start the process all over. Until Madden has competition EA has NO reason to do their true best!

Half life ps2

Half life is the first game in the half life series. Its the game that started it all. That introduced us to Gordon Freeman and the Black Mesa incident. Unfortunatley I missed out on this game back in 98 on pc as I didnt have a pc then. I played Half Life 2 first actually. But Half Life 2 encouraged me to get Half Life on ps2. Yes Half Life 2 was that good. Needless to say Half life 1 did not dissapoint me one bit. The games controls were excellent and Gordon moved very smoothly and stopped on a dime. The controls are very good and that some thing you dont see in games alot now. The sound was ok, not the greatest but it worked to make the game feel intense. The graphis are prettty good but not as flashy as half life 2 eye candy. Of course this is to be expected since the game was released in 98 and then again on the ps2 in 2001 I think. Plus the ps2 isnt known for pretty FPS except for maybe 2 or 3. The weapons models are good and the game has a nice variety of them. From earth based military weapons to alien and experimental top secret type weapons. They all sound as they should as well. There is a variety of enemies in the game. They are all cool looking in my opinion. Plus some platforming is involved and the occasional puzzle. But tjhe one thing Half life is famous for is its story, I cant forget the story. It is top notch. It would rival most hollywood sci fi movies. The game is worth playing just for the back story and getting to take part in some gaming history. You get to see what allowed the combine to get to earth. This game is highy reccomended to any Half Life 2 fan and FPS fan. Its cheap, only $10 when I bought it. I gave it to my nephew a while back but Im going to buy it again just to have it in my collection. Thats how good it is.

Madden 2005

Madden is a classic. It's been around for generations, and this game is no acception. In my opinion this is one of the top Madden games out. By far, this is the best Madden for PS2. The only reason to buy a newer madden would be for roster changes and new players, but still, Madden is absolutely amazing. This is a great game. The graphics are great for the time it was made. The phrases are new. The defensive tactics are great for this game. I think possibly the best madden of all-time. Check it out. Get out and buy it today. You can get it at gamestop under 5 dollars, so why not? THis is the perfect game for Madden fans and old-school Madden fans. CHECK IT OUT!!! By the way, the career in this game is great, and compared to the new games, I think it's better. This game is revolutionary for it's time. It's a must have for Madden.
