Falls short of the hype
As a hardcore RFOM fan i was really excited about this game. However now i feel dissapointed. I'll start with the single player. The campaign mode in this game is a huge downgrade from the original. The graphics, enemy AI, storytelling, and even the audio are worse this time. The Chimera used to be very intimidating and cunning but now they look so puny and they dont even sound threatening. Also, instead of challenging the player with intelligent enemies who actually try to flank you and outmanuver you like the original, this game is just hard becuase the enemies do incredible amounts of damage. You would think this is balanced out by the rehcargeable health (Halo but its not. Also, the new two weapon limit completely KILLED the feel of the game and made it a bit too much like Halo. The storytelling actually felt better with the old narration from the old game, and the campaign is like half of the original's campaign. The coop is pretty good though, its definetly the best part of the game...its intense and fun, its a fine mix of strategy and firepower. The competitive is fun, but its also a downgrade from the original. 60 player games is unnecessary because most of the game you play won't even have forty players...they really should have just kept the 40 player limit from the first game. The gameplay feels more fast paced then before, but that's not really a good thing in this case, and the RPG-like character organization doesn't help the game much. All in all, the game's main problem is its size. The huge bosses in the game and the 60 player online are completely unnecessary and don't help the game much. Better graphics, storytelling, and a longer campaign would have been much more beneficial. Nonetheless, this is still a great and fun game...its just not as great as the first and it fails to live up to most of its hype.

Dissapointing
Well this game is a huge dissapointment in my opinion. First, I'll say what it does right. The graphics have been improved and the game looks great, also the new weapon upgrade system is better the the older ones, and the game makes good use of the SIXAXIS. But that's about it. The game brings nothing new to the table, the gameplay is great but this is the 6th R&C game and they should have made at least some minor changes to keep the series interesting. Also, the AI is pathetic for a PS3 game. The older R&C were much more challenging, they required some actual strategy and quick thinking. This game is so easy that many times I could take down mobs of enemies with only the wretch and barely lose any health. The story is more involved this time around, however, the cinematic style in which the story is told doesn't really fit well on the R&C series. Even the game's sense of humor seems to have weakened. The game does have some good weapon variety but nothing that hasn't been done before (well except maybe the Groovitron and the tornado weapon).Every once in a while there is some space combat but that is also pretty easy and repetitive. The actual combat works well, and so do the controls....but it's just so overdone and easy. But maybe the worst thing about this game is the lack of online play. "Up Your Arsenal" on the ps2 had online play, even the PSP version had it. So why does the PS3 version not have it?...Not even offline multiplayer! As a hardcore R&C fan I feel very dissapointed by this game, it's worth a rental but not worth buying.

They were the Assassins, this was their Creed.
So most people were saying this game was a dissapointment at E3.....well in the end its the actual game that matters and this game is no dissapointment.Assassin's Creed is truly different from anything else out there...the mix between stealth and action is great. But most importantly, it's all up to you. You want to sneak up on ur assassination target? Go ahead. You want to fight him man to man? Go ahead. You can run from enemies and hide, or you can fight if you have the proper skills.Note I say skills because the combat system in the game requires skill and not just button mashing. However it's a very well designed combat engine and goes well with the intelligent A.I. Another of this games strength is in it's story. The story is wonderfully written and you really want to finish the game and see what happens. In a game like this, control is important and the controls are definetly up to the task.Graphics and audio are just as good. The game is somewhat historically accurate, however simply the scale of the area is enough to "wow" you. Cities are huge and differences between Poor, Middle, and Rich districts are quite noticeable.Well all in all, this game is great and definetly will keep you grasped until the end (it lasts about 20 hrs, maybe 40 if you take on all the extra objectives). My only complaint is that the game does get a bit repetitive and also that the on-horse combat feels very awkward (not that it really matters as you won't fight on horseback often). If you want something different and immersive, check this out.

Straight from the Heavens
This was probably the most anticipated ps3 game so far (not counting killzone or metal gear cuz they havent been released). so des it live up 2 the hype? in my opinion...no. ok this is not a bad game, its pretty good. the hack and slash gameplay is awesome, story is very well told, graphics r awesome, etc. so were does the game fail? well..its too short. the story and the gameplay is jus great so its a dissapointment that the game is so short. also, theres no replay value and no levels of difficulty 2 make things interesting. also, the boss battles r kinda tiresome. extra content such as artwork, anime vids, and makin of the game r all nice...but u cant subsitute gameplay with extra content. some of the side missions like cannon shooting or playin as kai (which gets VERY old after u play an enire chapter as her) r nice. i hope ninja theory adds sum free extra content 2 give the game more value but until then...its a rental.

High on Stardust
If u have played Geometry Wars on xbox live then this game will seem very fimiliar to u. The basic game mechanics r the same (move wit left stick, shoot with right). Well anyway this game is pretty fun, but my main complain is that its hard. Seriously ive been practicing but i still cant complete the 1st level (ive gotten close..). Controls and graphics r good, and the techno soundtrack is cool. I also liked that u can compare ur top score wit ur frends over PSN. the game has co-op mode which is cool. This game is great 4 jus killing time or playin wit a frend. its very fun and fast paced but its also very simple and easy 2 jump into. it would have been nice 2 allow players different levels of difficulty but its not that big of a deal. so if u have sum extra money in ur PSN wallet ($10) try this game out.
