The Incredibles - GameCube

There is variety here, too bad controls and camera are crappy

The Incredibles lets you control of the incredibles family and play through most familiar scenes from the movie. Mr. Incredible goes through levels punching bad guys around, solving puzzles, etc. He does pretty much all of the platforming type of thing. Ms. Elastic does also pretty much what Mr. Incredible does defeating baddies and puzzles. The only difference is the cool idea of stretching around for being so elastic to bad targeting enemies to grab them or throw stuff at them is not helpful. Then there is Dash in which runs through a course of obstacles. For example he runs through the streets avoiding all cars and all construction areas. It feels simple but Dash movements are not smooth enough to help you avoid obstacles easily. Last is Violet who does stealth action and uses her fancy shield. This levels are boring because of too much stealth and knowing she ain't that powerful to kill baddies. But one important aspect from all of these type of missions is that most of them are Mr. Incredible levels and with no good responding controls, and camera that does not show you at times the enemy makes this one only a rent for the kids to play has their favorite heroes. Everyone else should look some place else.

Beyond Good & Evil - GameCube

underrated but sweet

Beyond Good and Evil is one of those ubisoft games that is pretty cool and people do not buy it because they only care about movie licenses or popular franchises. But Beyond Good and Evil is a total hit. The game can be at times similar to legend of Zelda solcing puzzles and the combat system. But the game also includes stealh quite a lot hiding from guards it can be tricky but not a trouble. But hey is from the creators of Splinter Cell so obviously stealth is going to be good. You can also shoot pictures to all different species around is more like a side quest tough. The soundtrack is very strong fitting perfectly with every boss action and normal battle. The graphics are stunning in the enviroment specially the water tough some blocky characters here and there but for the most part great. If you like legend of Zelda and stealth this is a must have title.

Star Wars Battlefront II - PC

Another great Star Wars game

In this game you play has the clone troopers in the way they change from good to bad. Like the original game you have the ability to choose from many different type of clone troopers: normal troopers, heavy troopers (use missile launchers), sniper troopers that can shoot enemies from far places, commander troopers that have infinite ammo and better defense, the engineers that can repair tanks, etc. and last the jet troopers that use jetpacks. The CIS robots and the rebels have different types of soldiers giving the game some variety to it. The addition on the on foot stuff is playing has a hero which is a jedi or a non-jedi like Han Solo or Leia. The controls are simple and each hero has their own abilities like for choke, push, pull and the most common lightsaber throwing. Heroes can be exciting dpending which one you are playing because if it does not use a lightsaber you will get the same feel has a trooper. Also some heroes don't have fast moves with the lightsaber like Darth Vader which is quite a dissapointment cause many fans want to play with him. Vehicles on foot work nicely altough some do not move smoothly, like the speeder bikes that can feel useless and easy die by hitting a tree. Still at least the tanks work out well. The other addition and the biggest one is the space battles. In space you can decide which type of spaceship you want and hop into it. The missions consist of destroying important parts of the enemy's battleship. The really good stuff about sapce is that you can land on your enemy's battleship and destroy his interior parts and steal a spaceship. Overall Star Wara Battlefront II offers a great package with most of the important stuff in the Star Wars universe: war, jedi and space. If you are a Star Wars fan then I would checking this game out. If you play the 1st game and not looking for something totally new but want to check the jedi stuff and space then is a buy here. The rest should rent it first if you have a PS2 or Xbox.

Puyo Pop Fever - DS

Nice Puzzle on the DS

Puyo Pop Fever plays very similar to the consoles version. Is the same gameplay of chaining those water color thingies called puyos. Do a chain of 4 and they dissapear. But you will need to do big combos to make your opponent get the white puyos that attack his screen. The real dissapointment I could say about this game is the lack of nintendo capabilities use on this game. You can control the falling puyos with the touch screen but the d-pad is quite more responsive and faster. The really good use is multiplayer of up to 8 players at the same time with one sigle cartridge. If you are a puzzle fan and own a DS then you should check out Puyo Pop Fever.

Viewtiful Joe 2 - GameCube

A sequel that worths it

Viewtiful Joe 2 does play very similar like his prequel but with a few additions that add more fun to it including the addition of Silvia has a playable character. But She doesn't only use some fancy guns she brings a new move call replay. In which repeats the punch or kick a lot of times. If you like the 1st game then there is no deny that you will definetely like this one.
