Viewtiful Joe - GameCube

This Game Is Viewtiful

Viewtiful Joe is one of the most creative games ever made. The game is cell shaded but has a look that no other games has and is simply beautiful to look at. I loved everything about this game the action is non-stop, you can forward or rewind time as you please and it does this effect better than the Marix games themselves. The writing in the game is some of the best in video games, it's one of those rare games that's actully funny and not just funny in a cheesy way. I think the part I enjoyed most besides the great combat has to be the way Capcom used Joe's time powers in the games puzzles, instead of having to push crates or some other boring task every puzzle in the game revoles around using your time powers in diffrent ways, it was the first time in a while I actually enjoyed solving a games puzzles. The only downside to this game is a boss called Fire Leo, he has got to be one of the hardest characters I ever fought in a game. You fight him towards the end of the game I can get to him without dying once but once I get to him I lose almost all my lives and sometimes I have to turn off the game because I simply can not beat him. It's a shame too because this is one of the best and most fun games I ever played until that point, it shows how one major flaw in a game can kill all your fun. Even with the Fire Leo fight it's still a great game and I can't recomend it enough if you own a Game Cube or PS2 you owe it to yourself to pick up this gem.

One Of The Best Games Ever

Prey to me is one of the best games ever, I can't understand why many people have passed on this gem. Prey isn't so much a shooter as it is an experience. It starts off with you in a bar with your grandfather and girl friend and before you know it your being taken by an alien ship along with the entire bar. Once aboard the ship you'll see that your not the only humans on that ship and that the aliens who have taken you grind up humans and use them as the ships fuel. Tommy (the guy you play as) get's set free by one of the humans aboard the ship and so begins your adventure to save your family. I like Prey because every room you step into in the game is so creative and diffrent from every game I've played that I had to just stop and admire what the developers had made. The same creativity
went into the gameplay as well, there are portals that pop up and when you step through them you end up and the oppisite side of the room from where you were just at and walkways that allow you to walk on the ceilling of a room and fight the aliens upside down while your at it. There is no death in the game instead of a game over screen when you die, the game has a cool mini game where you go to anthor realm and shoot spirits with your bow (one of the games many weapons) the more you shoot the more energy and health you have when you come back to life. There's ships the pilot, ghost girls that haunt you, a ship that's alive and the size of the moon, aliens with guns, some of your weapons are also alive, really epic boss fights, the ability to leave your body and walk around as a ghost, and everything else you would want from a game. I've seen this game for as little as $10 in bargin bins and I recomend it to everyone, it's just that good.
