Spyro: Year of the Dragon - PlayStation

Pros Cons
Addictive gameplay
Just plain fun
8 years too late, but I loved this game!

When I was younger (8 years ago) I loved this game. I would play for hours on end, and this cartoon like game would keep me entertained. If you still play PS1 games (I don't...) find this game! It was fantastic, and I'm about to go get the newest version to rekindle the love I had for this game.

My pros were based on memory, and there were no cons because I can't remember one negative thing about this game.

Why The 360 Is The Console For Me

To start off, I have a PS1, PS2, PSP, and an Xbox 360. Why no PS3 you ask? Well I'm about to tell you. With about 50 real life friends that use Xbox Live, social gaming is a major advantage to owning a 360. When ever I am on, there is ALWAYS someone I can play with, and on the chance I don't want to, the LIVE community of 12 million people will keep you busy. Put this with a Netflix membership and a LIVE party, and you can soon be enjoying a movie with your buds from school, work, online, etc. So the already great online service is going to become even better this fall, and I can't wait.

The Games-

With titles like Halo, Fable, Grand Theft Auto, Gears of Ware, and Rock Band all containing exclusive, or timed exclusive content for the 360, their gaming lineup is great. When put with the almighty online community, your gaming just got even better!

The Price-

Coming in at $300 for the 60 GB version, the 360 is great on the wallet! In fact, the only disadvantage is the crazy amount of games you will want to get!

The Graphics-

Don't ever let anyone tell you the PS3 has better graphics! They might have blu-ray, but the only advantage is disk space! Multi-platform games are going to be the same on both consoles, and the only time the PS3 will see better graphics, is on exclusive titles. At the time, there aren't many, and the lineup doesn't appeal much to me... Unless you want to play MGS4, and watch 10+ hours of cutscenes, PS3 games don't have the luxury of a 360 title.

While I could go on, this is the bottom line for buying a console. If you are in the market, online play, games, price, and graphics are probably going to be you top priorities. My recomendation, go with the 360, you won't regret it.

The Game That Killed The FPS Genre

I have maxed this game. By maxed I mean I have 1,000 gamerpoints and there is absolutely nothing left for me to do. The irony? I can still pick it up and have a great time! This game is epic. Until COD5 comes out, I expect no shooter to take its place, and COD5 might not even measure up! If you haven't already invested $60, you HAVE to. That is an order. COD4 will go down in history as the FPS killer. After playing COD4 you CAN'T pick up another shooter and have fun. Now for the individual aspects of the great game:

Campaign: On of the best I have played. The ONLY weakness is the length. Then again, if you play on Veteran difficulty like you should, it lasts plenty long.

Graphics: The BEST. You feel like you are actually there. I have yet to play any genre game that measures up to COD4. Visuals and audio are both great.

Multiplayer: Hour of fun. While it is repetitive, you are playing online. All games are rather repetitive online. There aren't any weaknesses here, although you may wish for more playlists, or game types, COD5 will be out before you stop having fun.

Controls: Perfect FPS controls. They did it right.

Replayability: I have played this game over 10 times now. I still love it.

Bottomline: This game is EPIC. If you own a PS3, Wii, or 360, you should own this game. I'm not going to spoil the campaign, but you WILL get emotionally attatched. Buy this now!

Forza Motorsport 2 - Xbox 360

Pros Cons
Loads of content Repetitive gameplay
Addictive gameplay Terrible multiplayer
Tight controls
Great Buy For The Money!!!

I'm at 970 gamer points, completing every challenge except online credits. I got this game for free with my 360, and I couldn't love it more! For only $30 you have hours of gameplay that are solid fun.

If racing games aren't your thing, this is a good game to try because of the price. On the other hand, if you do like racing games, this will not disappoint. With AMAZING car customization in the paint shop, an online auction house, and a great selection of cars, this game is loaded with racing game goodness.

Now for the aspects:
Graphics: Average, nothing amazing, but it surely fits into the next gen category.

Gameplay: A tad repetitive, but a shooter doesn't change halfway through right? It is racing and more racing.

Customization: Best I have ever seen! Go online to the auction house and look at the great car designs people have made! Or go to youtube and look up Forza 2 Car Designs.

Controls: When you start the game it is default set to the highest difficulty. Once you turn it down and play a couple races you will start to love the controls.

Bottom-Line: If you want a different genre of game, or a cheap hit, this is the game for you.

Halo 3 - Xbox 360

Must buy if you have a 360.

Hello, having maxed the gamerpoints, and being very familiar with this game, I decided to review it.

I will go ahead and start off with one of the strongest points of this game:
Multiplayer.

With a LIVE community of 12 million, there is no shortage of players online, and Halo 3 takes full advantage of that. With several playlists, and a handful of online achievements, this game will keep you busy till the cows come home. Also, unlike games like COD4, there is online matchmaking and you will always be versing someone your skill level.

Campaign:
Possibly my favorite aspect of Halo, the addicting campaign. With hours and hours of gameplay, you will just about cry when it is over. Honestly, playing this game is like watching a really good movie. With skulls and difficulty levels, as well as scoring and achievements, you will eat, sleep, and breathe Halo by the time you are done. In fact, if I didn't have a couple really good friends to help me along the way, I couldn't have done it.

Graphics:
What you expect from a next-gen game. Reminds me of Jurassic park, 8 Legged Freaks, and Red Planet put together. This is a futuristic masterpiece and I love every bit of it.

Controlls:
Very similar to COD4, the only major difference is scope and mele attack which only really affects you when you go back and forth between games after playing for a couple hours.

Overall:
If you don't have this game, I highly suggest getting it. Although the Halo experience is over for most people, it is still a very popular game, and well worth the money.
