GHWT feels a bit behind but still great
GH:WT is a great game, final joining the full band experience. The game will sell millions because of its name, but it falls short to Rock Band 2 in many ways.
First, on the plus side, there is a great sound track, even though Neversoft tends to be to cautious when picking some songs. Also, the game is fun, so anyone who loves guitar hero or rock band will love this. The charts are also much more accurate. No more over charting. However, some players may not like less difficulty, I actually find Rock Band 2 harder on guitar, and WAAAY harder on drums.
The game is also coated in many cool features. Some are just plain lame though. There are some great ones: Open notes on bass, for example, are brilliant for letting those left out bass players final enjoy something. There are many other minor features which I won't go into, but some just seem useless.
The music creator is fun, and many players at first glance will think "genius!". However, if anyone read scorehero's preview of GHWT, the music creator seems like a dud. While cool, it has some limits that are just stupid. First of all, you can't mix a vocal track, place manuel HO/POs, and you have a 1000 note cap! Many players will still like it, but custom charters will still stick to homebrew software. On a plus side, GH Tunes enables players to share created songs over xbox live.
The guitar feels great. I really love everything about it. It is the LP without that useless and infamous detachable neck, so no more blinking out! There is also a seperate button for activating star power, although I prefer the select button. The touch sensors are cool, and while I prefer them over Rock Band's solo buttons, I still don't find them useful when going for gold stars or a fc. Also, since they are not buttons, it can be difficult to recognize which button you are actually on.
Vocals are cool, and much like Rock Band. However, unlike Rock Band, score is calculated for the whole tube, not the pie. You also don't get words telling how well you hit it. The fact that scores are calculated differently make FCs nearly impossible.
Drums are cool. The charts are a bit easier than Rock Band's. The drums seem better than RB2s, and in ways they are. The material is excellent. However, it can loads of flaws. First, the pedal doesn't anchor, so it can move around when playing some bass heavy songs, like BYOB. Also, the cymbals are absolutely horrible. They drop notes, have no bounce, and the placement is terrible. People familar with a reall drum set know that the hi hat is on the left of the snare, but here it is on the right! Yes, this is good, since you don't need to cross your hands, however, the problem comes on 16th note hi hats. Where in Rock Band they switch the hi hat to the red and snare on the yellow, so you can do proper sticking, GHWT keeps them! You end up doing a very akward pattern is it is just horrible. (compare both Everlong drum charts on RB2 and GHWT) Also, star power is activated by hitting both cymbals. It sounds good, again, but, this means unless you are at an idle section, you will ALWAYS break your combo.
Rock Band drums are compatible. This is possible by coverting the charts into only 4 drums and a bass.
The interface is absolutely terrible. Can you tell what is going on? I sure can't. First, in a full band, failing sometimes seems to come spontaneously, since if all 4 band members are bottom yellow, in full band you fail. Also, there are meters and guages everywhere! Multipliers are barely visible, and band multipliers and FB meters are at a corner, sometimes far from your view. You don't have time to do this in the middle of a crazy song.
Overall, GHWT is a good game, but it dissapoints. If you had to pick one music game, go with Rock Band 2. However, this is worth a shot.

Amazing!!! But it has dissapointments...
.....The game is absolutely incredible. Some of my new favorites are the drum trainer. The game has all of your dlc transfered right from the start from rock band 1. And with well over 200 songs for dlc, you can be playing this for a loooong time. The game is much harder on guitar this time around. It is a blast. Broken talkies are fixed too!
.....On the downside, there are calaberation issues with the les paul, the new drums have been known to be terrible for some, dropping notes still. For solo mode, you play through world tour, but it can be a bit hard tracking scores, and you will be playing repeats. Also, with random setlists, I found it a pain sometimes playing Blinded by fear, followed by Bad Omen, and then This calling, all insane drum dlc songs.
.....However, the game is in no doubt amazing, and true fans of the guitar hero series will love it. I found this game even more similar on guitar to the amazing Guitar Hero 2, so all true fans will love it. Despite some hardware issues, the game itself is incrdible.

looks can be decieving
when u see the mediocre graphics and child like theme u may think it sucks, at least rent it. i actally enjoyed it, it has 3 modes, city trial, air ride, and top ride. top ride hould have been left out and they shouldve worked more on city trail and air ride, only 9 race tracks, and a small free roam area. however it has many cool vehicles, but once u unlock everything the game losses its fun.

ive seen better, give it a rent
it ant the best sonic game, but it will keep u occupide, graphics r bad, but arent good. u can play as 4 different teams wit 3 characters each and they all have a different set of missions, there r some unlockables, but thte only good one is very very hard to get. multiplaer has a bunch of minigames, but i dont find them too fun. the gameplay seems to be linear in some parts, but some parts r fun and different, ull have occasional puzzles and team choax has unique missions, but other than them ull find urself just running through loops and fighting mindless enemies. a major problem is the camera, many imes when changing direction ull find it not facing to rite way and occasionaly ull find it go rite against u. id give this game a rent
