Broken
I dont understand sometimes why developers dont improve their games in a half hearted attempt to stick with "classic" feels, even when they dont work.
Not being able to move while shooting in this game leaves it feeling old and poor. When playing this game I get the feeling that I am playing some sub par D title that was poorly developed on a $10 budget. Yes it is that bad. Dont get me wrong, the archaic control scheme worked when the zombies sauntered around brain dead as they did in RE1 & 2 but in RE5 they run and swarm you AND they can take a swing at you while they are moving....LOL!
I have been anticipating this game ever since I saw the first trailer but now after playing it I am completely dissapointed. To the point where I find the game unplayable........took my lumps and traded the game in! Thanks Capcom for wasting my money...you SUCK!

Interesting
This has to be one of the more interesting takes on shooters since Bioshock. Its actually a little similer to bioshock in where you have a weapon and a special power. It doesnt come close to Bioshock in tems of number of differant powers though. In the game you control a squad of characters in which you can switch between. And in some spots you will need to switch between because a particular persons power is needed to do something like clear a passage or whatever to move on.
The environments are dark and gritty making giving it that icky earie feel. It works pretty well for the game.
The graphics are pretty good too. The 360 version is a bit darker and looks to be a bit more detailed with a higher range of lighting but it looks like they forgot to turn on the FSAA. The PS3 version looks a little less detailed and the lighing is not as dynamic as the 360 version but it looks smooth, less jaggies. this makes it difficult to say which one looks better, I like detail and the use of HDR but I hate jaggies. BOTH=4.25

Differant type of skating game
Ok so you are looking for something differant that Tony Hawk? Well Skate it is. The game tries to take a more realistic aproach to this genra of game, making it more like a skating sim than a skating game. The way you control and do tricks with the analog sticks as apposed to using button combos to pull off tricks helps to achieve this. The controls are good though they will take a bit of getting used to, the tutorial helps. Once you get the control system down you will be able to pull of tricks with ease.
The game looks nice, I think it looks better than the Tony Hawk counterpart. The character model is good and the animations are decent. The backgrounds are also done nicely. It isnt the best looking game out there but it is the best looking skating game out there.
The 360 version is clearly the better looking version. On the PS3 you can tell that low res textures have been used in the backgrounds in the distance. It doesnt detract from the gameplay but I expect more from the next gen systems. 360=4.5 PS3=4 Play the demos and check it out. the game is pretty fun.
