FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage - Xbox 360

Good Arcade racer: Burnout meets Destruction Derby

The is one of those games that you play, really like but don't think it's worth 60 bucks. The good news is, it's dropped to 20 bucks, which is a bargain for what you get. This game has multiple modes of racing, from conventional to carnage mode to destruction derby, and also "stunt" mode which allows you to fire your driver out the front windshield to set distance goals or play a game of human bowling, using your driver as the ball. The graphics are good, controls responsive, and the gameplay addicting: all the ingredients of a fun bash em up style car game. If you like the older burnouts and Destruction Derby games from last gen, pick this one up; well worth it with the recent price drop.

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII - Xbox 360

Blazing Angels 2: the best WW2 air combat console game so far

The sequel to Blazing Angels, BA2 features a unique, fictional storyline starring a secret allied squadron brought together to battle World War 2's deadliest experimental war craft. The sequel improves upon the foundations of the original, adding a sim control set up, cockpit view, and all new air craft, weapons, and locations. Many of the same complaints still abound in the sequel(noticeable screen tearing and linear mission difficulty are still problems), but overall, the sequel far surpasses the original in every way. The story is better, the online mode is much deeper, and the new paint schemes, unlockables, and upgrades will keep you busy for some time. If you like the original, or are a CS and Heroes of the Pacific fan, and can't wait until sept. 2008 to get your Heroes over Europe fix, this game will certainly tide you over.

Call of Duty 2 - Xbox 360

CoD2= great game!!

This game is one of the best FPS ever! Exciting gameplay, harrowing firefights, and a good mix of diversity make this one of the best 360 games, new or old. If you're looking for a firefight against the German war machine, look no further!

Call of Juarez - Xbox 360

stay away!!

Okay, I rented this game for 8 bucks and feel that I was jipped! I really wanted to like this game, but the control/aiming system is terrible, and doing 3rd person puzzle solving in a 1st person view is frustrating to the point of madness. The graphics are pretty good, the story is intriguing, but without solid control and execution, your money is better spent elsewhere, IMO. A valiant attempt at something different, but falls short and into the pool of mediocraty; not worth your precious 60 dollars.

Heroes of the Pacific - PS2

good gameplay, and best of the WW2 flight games on PS2

Prepare to strap into the cockpit of a good ol' prop plane, and machine gun your way through missions based on action during world war 2 in the Pacific in this arcade flight game. The planes can be a little tricky to master at first, but once you get the hang of them, you'll find the responsivness of the planes fitting. Overall, this game delivers: the controls are good, a good crop of missions, and unlockable planes and upgrades keep the game fresh. Online is where this game shines, though; nothing is better than taking the fight online against others from around the globe. If your a game pilot on PS2, this should be in your collection; it doesn't do anything great, but the overall experience is fun and exciting. At 19.99, one of the best bang for buck games out there.
