Does it really look like the commercials?
When I first heard this game was not going to be a launch title I was a little bummed out but after seeing the initial titles that were availabe I'm kind of glad they held off. You see if you bought madden for the 360 you'll notice a lot of the players look about the same as they do on any other console save for a couple of big name players. Don't get me wrong the grass looked great and the helmets looked shiny showing off great reflection dynamics, but it takes more than this to be worth a 60 dollar investment. In short it just felt as if EA had rushed the title to meet the launch date, can't blame them though this is the norm when it comes to the first round of games. Not to worry though when it comes to FNR3 you'll be able to see the sweat and blood fly from the fighters face as punches land. You can see where most of the focus is on the boxers look incredible, the movement around the ring feels extremely fluid and realistic. For once a fighting game has gotten the collision system figured out. For the most part anyway, rarely will you see those phantom punches which pass right through a boxer with no damage occuring. The sound in the game is also extremely well done, from the scream of the fans to the sound of agony coming from a boxers mouth as he takes a shot to the gut. It's such a wonderful thing to hear the sound of leather to skin done with such accuracy. Commentary for the most part is spot on and does a great job at keeping up with the onscreen action. But eventually you'll start to hear it repeat but hey you always got the 360's hard drive.

Sawyer sure knows his rides.
Roller coaster tycoon gives some theme partk fanatics something they have never had before and the is the right to create their own park the way they see fit. You start off by selecting a scenaio, you have 4 to choose from at first and then as you complete each scenario you open up another one that gives you more ride and a tougher challenge with all this you also get more space to build your awesome park. You can choose the look and feel of your park all you want you can have it centered around a space theme or something like a mushroom villiage it is all up to you. The ease of the game is nice everything is straight forward and easy to find and the actual setup of the game is simple. You can choose rides that already exist or you can opt to build your own. You can have the big roller coasters that bring in the crowds or you can have the little dinky rides such as a merry-go-round and things like that. This game incorperates on the idea of giving you management control to so you decide how much to charge at the gate and how much to charge on the rides. You also must build service building in order to keep your little people happy and by this I mean you must build things like restroom, drink stands, and places to eat. You also have to hire people to keep your park running smooth you must hire handymen, mechanics, and security guards and you also have the option to hire entertainers if you think your park needs them. This game is very addictive and fun while also keeping a challenge for you. This game also has tons of replay value since you have 25 park to play 21 of them must be unlocked and with each new park you open the challenge gets more difficult. But it's not the challenge that keeps you interested it's the fact that you can create your own roller coasters this if you ask me is one of the funnest things in this game. To build your own roller coaster is very simple all you do is choose the type of coaster you want wooden, steel, corkscrew, etc then you go from there choosing loops straightaways, twists, and turns anything you want. But keep in mind if your ride gets to intense the sims will not ride it and in order to do this you must keep your speed down while going into turns and try to avoid lateral G's all you can. Another thing about this game is that while building your rides it can make you feel real important. When you go to test ride you get things in very detailed description things like G forces and speed drop hieght and things of that nature are all factors that you must worry about.

The Payne is back!
When I first heard about Max Payne 2 coming out all I could think was it is about time. I have been waiting for months for the second installment to come out for this saga that is Payne. First of all I would like to say that I got this game for the Xbox so that is what I will be refering to. Max Payne 2 takes place a few years after the first one had left off it has our hero Max Payne back on the force and leading a pretty good life considering his past. But as they say the past always has a way of coming back and biting you in the @$$. When the game first starts out it has you waking up in the hospital after you have been shot a few times. When you first start to move around everything is in sort of a dream state like in the first installment. As you walk around and try to figure out what you have to do you will notice that the physics in the game have changed dramaticaly and now it seems like anything will be sent flying just by walking into it. As the game starts to progress you will begin to meet the new characters for instance there is Mona Sax Max's new fling. You will soon learn that in a life like Max's nothing is as it seems. Thats enough of the story I don't want to ruin it for anybody and as I say this with a smile that brings me to my first problem with the game. The length is just pathetic you could easily finish this game in 1 sitting 2 at the max and that on the Hard Boiled difficulty and quit frankly the game doesn't answer any questions it just brings up more. While the game length may suck you still get a lot of bang for your buck. The graphics in this game are what you would expect the city is portrayed as this bleak no hope dump and that is exactly how it makes you fell. The bullet time that was made so famous by the original is back but this time it has a little twist that coincides with it. They call it the adrenaline factor meaning the more enemys or volatile the situation is the slower time will go. As I said earilier the physics of the game are kind of outrageous in this game you thow a grenade at somebody and they fly about ten feet in the air and twenty feet backwards. Control in this game is about the same as in the first one with a couple of new commands that will take no time getting the hang of. Aiming can be a pain at times but not too often. Sound is equally impressive as the look of the game the music the voice acting bullets sound effects it all sound very close to perfect. The voices draw you in while the backround music makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
