Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Xbox 360

Guitar Hero III

I was never a fan of these games. Well honestly I hadn't played them but didn't think I would like them. To my great surprise, after playing it, I was hooked. The game is a blast. Not only is it easy to catch on to but it's challanging enough to keep you coming back for more. With a nice variety of songs it is a sure fire hit for those who enjoy music games. If you don't know if that's you, try it out and see. this game will give you a good taste of what the genre is like. In case you haven't noticed, I would definitely recommend this game.

Guitar Hero II - Xbox 360

Guitar Hero II

Well for me, this was my second Guitar Hero as I got the third one first. This game is great. Just as much fun as the third one is except the glaring exception that there is no play over Xbox Live. that kind of puts a damper on the enjoyment of the game over the long haul. The game though in itself is great. The songs are numerous as well as varied. There are several songs on this one that I like more than in 3. If you like these types of games, do yourself a favor and pick this one up

Crackdown - Xbox 360

Crackdown is a load of fun, better with friends

Many people bought Crackdown solely for the Halo beta. They really missed out on, or were surprised by a great game. Crackdown is a very unique game in that it is a true sandbox. From the start you can go to the kingpins and try to take them out. The freedom in the city is really unmatched. The controls are good and the graphics, while cell shaded sytle, are great. The game is a blast to play as you rid the city of the gangs and improve your charactor. As you progress you will grow bigger, do more damage, make bigger explosions, pick up larger cars, and jump higher. The best part about Crackdown though is the ability to play through the game with a friend. Definitely a game with the $30 it now costs to buy.

Halo 3 - Xbox 360

More Halo action in 3

Let be start off by saying that Halo 3 is great, not the best in the series but a great game none the less. I've seen a lot of complaints that it is simply Halo 2.5. I would really argue against that. Halo 1 was made to be a great SP game. Halo 2 the focus was definitely on the MP. Halo 3 is a great balance of the two making it a complete package taht is a joy to play. The variety of matches and game types is top notch. Halo has again established itself as the premier online shooter. The graphics are great, the controls are tight. All in all, Halo 3 is a must own title for anyone with a 360.

Assassin's Creed - Xbox 360

Assasin's Creed Delivers

This seems to be a game that people either love or hate. Starting off, yes the missions can get reptitive and yes the enemies are all very similar. The game however shines as a blast to play. It is devised to be a stealth game, a genre which I typically hate. Assasin's Creed however took people like me into consideration. This game can be played by the sneaky people and the people like me who prefer to pull out the sword and dispatch the guard rather than try to lose them. I was able to play through the whole game and enjoy it being either sneaky or rambo, whichever I fancied at the time. The game looks amazing as well. It really shines when you get to the top of a building and just look at the landscape. The only real complaint I have about the game is the fact that is has very little replay value. The game is fun, lots of fun but once you play through it, there is little reason to keep playing.
