The Operative: No One Lives Forever - PS2

No One Lives Forever

No One Lives Forever is a good game. It's not a great game, but it's a good game none the less. It is plagued by bad controls and worse graphics. However, the interesting storyline and humorous dialog keep this game from becoming a total disappointment. One word: "Rental."

Monsters, Inc. - PS2

Monsters, Inc.

Let me start off by saying this: This game is bad; do not get it. It has terrible graphics that don't even begin to push the Playststion's limits, bad voice acting, horrible gameplay, and will take you, like, 2 hours to beat, tops. You will like this game only if you are: A.) in love with the Monsters, Inc. movie or B.) an infant. The only good side to the game is the tons of extras from the movie that it provides. What was Sony thinking?

Breath of Fire II - GBA

Breath of Fire 2

Breath of Fire 2 on the GBA is just as good as Breath of Fire 1 on the GBA, if not better. BOF2 has an all new character line-up and a new (and better) storyline. The graphics have been beefed up a little since the first game and, as I said befere, the storyline is more enthralling. Link cable connection is back, allowing you to trade items with a friend. So, in the end, if you liked the original BOF, you should get this game; it has the feel of the original along with some welcome additions. If you've never played BOF, this is a game that is fun, long-lasting (about 5+ days, more if you want to discover everything), and will keep you playing, you will not get bored. Check this game out.

Motocross Maniacs Advance - GBA

Motocross Maniacs Advance

Motocross Maniacs Advance is Konami's third game in the Motocross Maniacs series. When compared to the other two games in the series, MMA does not compare. MM2 for the GBC is better than this remake. The main reasons for this are the bad gameplay, the difficult controls, and the lack of a park editor. Still, the new mini-games and the fact that four people can race on one cartridge does provide for a few hours of fun, but overall, this game is a rental, tops. My suggestion? Stick with Motorcross Maniacs 2, it's more fun.

Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure - GBA

Crash Bandicoot: The Big Adventure

Crash Bandicoot: The Big Adventure is the first Crash game to be featured on a system other than the Playstation. And suprisingly enough, this Crash Bandicoot game is better than most of the Playstation versions. Vicarious Visions (the developers of the GBA version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2) did a knock up job transfering the bandicoot to the portable system. As with the Playstation versions, Crash Bandicoot: The Big Adventure pushes the limits of the system. The graphics are stunning and the sound quality is top notch. Sure you can "beat" the game in a few hours, but TRUELY beating the game (which involves finding all of the gems, unlocking all of the Bonus levels, beating each level's Set Time, etc.) will take a little while, keeping you coming back for more. Crash Bandicoot: The Big Adventure is a game every Crash fan should own, and even if you've never played a Crash Bandicoot game, I highly recommend you try this out anyway.
