Pokemon Diamond - DS

Diamond and Pearl

Diamond and Pearl go above and beyond whay I've ever expected from a Pokemon game. The amount of strategy involved is astronomical. For the most part the graphics excell and beat out the previous versions, a standard necessity for any sequel. The new pokemon are the biggest draw for me. In Ruby/Sapphire the new pokemon looked awful. They resembled what a seven year old's ideal pokemon would look like and they forgot the real charm that the game's creatures had. The new ones look like they could have come from Red/Blue. They are phenomenal! The sheer volume of items you get in the game is awesome too. The main strategy for getting neat stuff is to talk to everybody who isn't a trainer and they will almost always give you free stuff. The online community growing around the game is great too. Overall without anything to scare me away except the fact that I may never truly beat it, I give Diamond/Pearl a 5/5.
