Army of Two - Xbox 360

army of two

Ok so i waited a long time for this game to come out with it getting pushed back a few times and what not so anticipation built about it. Now that it is finally here and i have played through it once with a partner i have come to realize that it is a really fun game to play as long as have a person playing with you that knows video games. this game is completely co-op every thing you do has to be done together. which is ok and gives a new feel to playing with someone. The graphics a pretty nice onit as well. . The buying of and upgrades you can do to the weapons are another thing i like about the game, other then the pimping them out part. the 10,000 dollars to make look better i think actually makes most the guns look really stupid but that just might be me. The only thing that got me when i first started playing army of two was the turn rate. it seemed like it was lacking a bit. i'm not sure if it was because had been playing call of duty 4 for such long time or if it just moves at that pace. so took a little getting used to that but other then that overall good game

Halo 3 - Xbox 360

halo 3 not what it was hyped to be

I am not going to sit and say that this was a bad game because in no way was it bad. but i expected more from it then i got. the graphics were ok but everything seemed like it was so far away. and in using the weapons they seemed like they lost some pep from halos before. it took more shots to kill some of the things then usual not that was a bad thing. i myself feel that that it was way overhyped thats all im saying. for all that love first person shooters will love this game. and i hope if they use the halo man for anything else that they make it a third person shooter because the parts where you hold the bigger guns you can see all of master chief and that was a cool feature too.

Madden NFL 08 - Xbox 360

madden 2005

i have been playing madden 2008 for last few days and it is fun. the graphics are unbelievable some of the new features on the new one are nice. the weapons extra they added is a nice touch. when first start the trophy rooms and rings on the front part are a new nice touch as well. it is kind of difficult as well when on all madden. the only thing i have noticed about it is that it doesnt have no way to change your camera view during gameplay. i like putting the screen on widescreen. it is definetly a step up from madden 2007. i havent got real far into my franchise mode but so far its nice. over all they did good with the upgrades. the comeout at begining of game is ok. havent got to get online yet but if anything like what it is on one player gonna be nice as well

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - Xbox 360

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

Its been a dozen years since the Global Defense Initiative and The Brotherhood of NOD started battling for control of the world, and the forces of evil still wont go down. Armed with a shiny head and an all black wardrobe - that screams "I'm the bad guy" - the malevolent psychopath Kane is on the rise again. But the Scrin, a new alien faction, threatens both sides with metal bugs of death. Thats Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars' story in a nutshell. For all the hype about the geektastic cast for the campaign movies (Michael Ironside, Tricia Helfer, Billy Dee Williams, etc.) the epic tale still boils down to mission after mission where you run around doing what you are told. It's never clear if the hammy acting is because the esteemed players are taking the material too seriously or not seriously enough. No matter; if you love cheesy full motion videos, this story is for you.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - Xbox 360

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Comics and games are a combo right on par with popcorn at the movies, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is no exception. The game takes plot elements from the movie it's based on and the comic series to weave a story chucked full of Fantastic Four nemeses. Everyone from the Skrull to Terrax to, dum, dum, dummmm: the Silver Surfer makes an appearance. But instead of feeling like a universe encompassing rumble, it just feels like more enemies for The Thing to smash. You'll begin the game in an underground Skrull stronghold, and after playing for about 15 minutes you'll have a full understanding of Skrull architectural theory: build a hallway, line it with various boxes, make sure to use plenty of guards, lock all the impermeable doors with nearby computer consoles and repeat. This would be okay, except the Skrull caves stretch on into hours of monotonous gameplay. Once you escape the caves, strangely, everyone from the military to ancient Tibetan monks happen to use the same principles of base design. Marvel fans will notice the gameplay is similar to the X-Men Legends series, which was itself reminiscent of Diablo and pretty much every arcade game in which up to four players bash the heads off everything in sight. You control one hero at a time and switch with the d-pad, while the AI or your friends control the others. But it's not all just fists shoved into faces. To start with, each hero has a regular attack, a cosmic attack and a cosmic ability (the difference between a cosmic attack and a cosmic ability that is used to attack, we just don't know), and as they get kills and gain experience, additional attacks and more powerful cosmic things will be added to their skill sets. To increase the Four's power as the game progresses, you can spend coins found throughout the levels on stat increases, but nothing changes on the screen. A level five fireball from the Human Torch isn't any more on-fire than a level one fireball. The beat-'em up combat is fun for awhile, but with only about three or four types of enemies per area, and having each of those enemies fight about the same as the enemies from the last area, you'll start wishing for some more creative super villains.
