Grand Theft Auto IV - Xbox 360

Grand Theft Auto 4-us

What can one say about Grand Theft Auto that hasn't already been said. This game is phenomenal. The story, the characters, the missions, the exploration, there is basically nothing in this game that you can't do. The graphics are a little average but are quickly forgiven when you think of all the pressure that the game is putting on the 360 or PS3's engine just to keep a whole living, breathing, detailed city WITH NO load times going. Grand Theft Auto is made for the gamer and I curse anyone who thinks otherwise. After they fit all that single player on one disc, they still manage to cram in an over the top multiplayer that's just as fun as Warhawk. Contrary to negative opinion but GTA 4 stands up to be the best game to come out on any system so far.

Dark Sector - Xbox 360

Dark Sector

In a game universe where there is an abundance of FPS games, Dark Sector comes to remind us that you canhave a pretty good time with a single player game and a badass character. Hayden Tenno is one tough cookie who with the help of a disease is only becoming tougher. The game has borroowed a lot from Gears of War with the cover system and it also reminds you of Resident Evil 4 because of the over the shoulder view and other things likekicking open crates. The multiplayer is nothingto write home about but it's definitely enough fun to hold your attention for a while. A suggested rent first.

Army of Two - Xbox 360

Army of Two Human Players

Army of Two is a pretty decent game. It really shines in the Co-op department when you have a buddy to play with and watch each others backs, and help each other out. The graphics are okay, but definitely could've been better. The drawbacks is the short six mission campaign and the limited online play where it's just 2-on-2. Other than that, in a sea of FPS Army of Two is a breath of fresh air and it takes you back to co-op games like Contra, Ikari Warriors, and Double Dragon where you anda friend had fun whoopin' ass.

Devil May Cry 4 - PS3

The Devil Will Cry

Devil May Cry 4 is an awesome blend of fast paced action and great cinematic cutscenes. From the time you start off there is nothing but intense action. DMC4 gives you the option of playing 2 different difficulty settings from the beginning and it gives you the option of playing in automatic which gives you access to pulling off difficult combos just by continuing to press the buttons. So it pretty much allows every different skill of player to play and choose their difficulty setting. The only real drawback is the story, just like in previous Devil May Cry games although is great it leaves much to be desired and you never really find out to much of the new character's orgins. Other than that the game is great, a definite buy if you have a fever for some action.

Assassin's Creed - PS3

Assassins' Badass

Assassins Creed is one game where you feel like you are a badass. You play Altair, an arrogant and cocky assassin who after letting his arrogance get the best of him is stripped of his rank and is forced to set out on a mission to regain his honor. First of all the look and design of the game never cease to amaze. It takes place in mideval times during the crusades and the colors and city's design display just that. Altair himself has so many animations and everything he does looks fluid. From his running and jumping rooftops to his catching ledges and scaling buildings. The one animation that truly stands out is Altair's imposing walk. He walks with his head down and his arms out in a strut that says "don't mess with me." The game play can get a little repetitive when you are fighting off guards for either a scholar, or someones sister or wife. But the fighting mechanic based more on counter attack is done so nicely that you welcome another chance to beat up the bullying guards to look like a badass. That may be the only real gripe about the game becaus eeverything is done so nicely that it's not easy to complain and the story is very intruiging. A nice switch from the crowded sea of online shooters. One would be a fool to bypass this game.
