Turning Point: Fall of Liberty - PS3

SCREW THIS GAME!!!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST GOT THIS GAME!!! I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS DISAPPOINTED IN A GAME IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!!!! I am so pissed off right now that I bought this game that I can't even write anything more. I apologize for my language, but fuck this game. I can't believe this...

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - PS3

Ratchet and Clank - GOTY

So this game will probably never get the attention that I feel it deserves. Nominations for game of the year (or even winning) just won't do the game justice. It is an amazing piece of entertainment and art that every PS3 owner should own. From their trademark humor to the cleverly designed levels, R&CF:ToD is a game that is actually FUN to play. The replay value is off the charts, with plenty of goodies to unlock. Even the weapon design is the best yet in the series. The Groovitron is, in my opinion, the best new weapon of the year. This game is an absolute must-own, and I hope that every PS3 owner takes a shot with this amazing game. You don't have to be familiar with the series to appreciate this game.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - PS3

Good God, Ya'll

Oh mercy, where should I start? I could talk forever about the amazing graphics, the solid controls, or the amazing multiplayer. Well, I guess I'll start with my only problem: The single player is too short. Then again, I had so much fun from start to finish that I would have complained no matter how long or short it was. The story was not only easy to follow (cough, Halo 3, cough), but it had an EXCELLENT presentation. Giving the player a *Spoiler Alert* first-hand view of the president getting shot was an excellent idea that only immersed me further into the story. The guns all gave a solid sense of power, but I would expect nothing less from this series. As for the multiplayer, oh my goodness. The unlockables will keep me busy for a long, long, long time. Playing this game reminds me of the Battlefield 1942 and Soldier of Fortune battles we would have in college. With the HUGE amount of game types and weapons (not including the creat-a-class feature), what isn't to love? I'll admit that if you are new to FPS games you might struggle in the beginning against vets who have unlocked all of the fancy schmancy attachments and perks, but leveling up really does not take too much effort. A solid game that is an absolute MUST HAVE for anybody with the available system. Now if you will excuse me, I have a match to get back to...

Stuntman: Ignition - PS3

Lights, Camera, Start Over!

Ever dreamed of being a stuntman in Hollywood? Falling off of buildings, doing a HALO jump (not related to the game)? Well, this game isn't about that, it's about the driving part. The graphics, while not bad, just can't stand up to many other games that are out right now. Other than that, the game was VERY fun when I fired it up. The opportunity to participate in elaborate stunts in (fake) movies is pretty cool. Then I failed at the very end of my first mission. Time to start over. Then again, and again, and again. If you have ever gotten mad at something, this game isn't for you. I promise I'm not a violent or angry person. But oh my this game almost drove me to punching babies...

Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour - PC

Same C&C, Different Day

First I feel I should let you know I don't have the highest-end computer. Even when this baby came out my precious compy was laughed at by the electrical engineers I knew. Point is, you don't need the most expensive, pimped-out computer in order to have some fun with this game. If you know the Command and Conquer series, then you know exactly how this works. I know this is a review of an expansion pack, but I don't care. I own every single Command and Conquer that has ever been released (except for the FPS Command and Conquer that was released. That blasphemy doesn't even need to be named, lol). Graphics are not all that great, but then again, neither is my computer. But if I watched a friend play the game on their superhero computer, they looked a bit more like they should have. I still remember when they first mentioned the ability to rotate your view 360 degrees. I thought, "No way, that's just stupid." Nope, couldn't have been more wrong. It actually made me feel like I had more freedom and control over what/where I built. Online multiplayer was a blast, too. But even if you don't have the connection (or hate joining games where people just quit when they know they are about to lose), playing skirmishes against the computer are just as fun. The variety of generals is good, too. Their strengths, weaknesses and powers make for some interesting battles. My only complaint here is one that I have been saying for a long time. It is very annoying when you perfectly arrange your units before an attack, then after you give the order to move they turn into a darn parade. I want a wave of death marching across the battlefield. Don't give me the Thanksgiving Day Parade. One fast tank up the middle can take out half of your strike force! If you enjoy being an armchair General, check these games out. Not just this one, but any from this series.
