A cool game i've played before

This holiday season i got Gears of War 2 after the massive hype its gained since it was announced. Was it as good as i thought, well yeah ... pretty much. The story is pretty cut and dry the Locust (the enemy aliens) have pushed you back to your HQ and are at your front door so you must control Delta squad and push the Locust back to their stronghold and get rid of them if you want to survive this war. Pretty much everything is simple from there just finding the stronghold and killing the Locust queen. While you control the Delta Squad leader Marcus as your main character you also have your partner Dom who constantly cries about his wife from the begining to the end of the damn game, Braid who is the techy fix it character and Cole who is my favorite character since in a way he reminds me of myself since he yells 99% and takes on anything like he's invincible.

Graphic wise your treated to shades of two different colors, Brown and Gray, it's not the most beautiful (grammar ?) game you'll ever see but the graphics are pretty good. If the gameplay is familiar to you it's probably because you've played the first Gears of war because they've barely changed anything from the first one. Ok ok they gave us new techniques to use in battle like active reloads so you can reload faster (as long as you have any sense of rhthym what so ever) and get a power boost. Also they've added Chainsaw duels so you can avoid those no0b that just walk around with their chainsaws reved up the whole time on multiplayer, this way you can counter the chainsaw attack with your own chainsaw attack and enter a button mashing contest with your opponent where the victor gets to tear his enemy into ribbons. So it's very similar to the first GoW but you have some new things to keep you occupied.

Finally Multiplayer, this is probably the best and worst part of the game. You'll have fun playing against your friends in a massive battle going in with your guns blazing but the thing with this is that there are alot of glitches with the online and these glitches will annoy you... even after the "Patch" was strung on to the online system you still have glitches that will screw up a multiplayer match. The glitches are frustrating at times but it's still fun to play against your friends or co-op with a friend on Campaign mode or the Horde mode where you get to face wave after wave of Locust with up to 4 friends.

All in all the game has its share of flaws but it's still fun to play. I say get it but don't expect the best game you'll ever played. 4/5

Yeah this game is awesome it brings back the memories of mario 64 it's probably the best game for the wii for 07

Pretty good

This is the ultimate srategy game. First let's start with the Story. A group called the Greil mercenaries led by Greil and his son Ike are hired to take care of buisness like saving cities escorting people and what not. Through a bunch of complications that we won't say to spoil the game even though it's been out forever the team goes and teames up with Crimea to take out the army there at war with Daein. We won't lie this game is good it's just like a chess game where your mind is the only thing keeping you from having your army annhilated, it also has some good graphics especially in the cutscenes. We also won't lie when we say even easy difficult can be hard, (especially for people new to the series like me) in chess one move can end your game it's the same in this game a character could die or you could lose your base if you make a move that gives your opponent an opening. Also some another difficulty property in this game is that the fact that if your character dies ... they die. What that means is that there aren't any reviving spells, items or churches if your character dies there out for the game (it's especially annoying since some characters like healers and mages are as hard as to kill as it is hard to light a candle with a flamethrower). Unless you hit that reset button and start the mission over there gone for good. But the game will have new characters coming to your group like dogs to a piece of meat. This is a good hard game and for RPG fans it's essiential for you to get it.

Not as bad as people say

Ok here's the plot mario comes with the princess and toadsworth to an island. Well a evil clone of mario starts dirtying up the town so mario gets blamed for it. So mario has to clean up the mess and find out who's the clone and why is he doin this. Well this game isn't as good as 64 this is a pretty good game with good graphics. The only thing about this game is well it just doesn't have that kind of mario game feeling. But it still is pretty good. 4.25 out of 5

Wii play <<<<< Mario party 8

I don't know if it was because I got MP8 and Wii play at the same time that i thought Wii play was a let down but apprently i was wrong. I played through some of the horrible games so i could find a few that didn't suck and my mission was a failure. The Duck Hunt themed game and the Tanks game are interesting but that's as good as it gets. On the plus side it does come with a wii remote for free so what can you really expect. The marked Wii Sports left was pretty freakin high but this game didn't even make it half way. 1.5 out of 5
