Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii

I don't want to "catch 'em all"

I remeber back in the day when Nintendo 64 was the newest thing and one of the coolest games was "Pokemon Stadium". You could pick any 6 of the 150 original Pokemon to fight with, play through awesome boss stadiums, entertain with the load of minigames, and you could even play your Gameboy Color games on the TV! That was back then though, so now you would expect alot more in a Pokemon game, right...well, think again! Pokemon Battle Revolution isn't a game, its a scam. It has a worthless story with no real choice in the Pokemon you use, UNLESS to have a DS game. It's the first game to go online, and there are no stats or leaderboards, and online battles are impossible to beat, UNLESS you have a DS game. All in all, it's basically just a way to play the DS versions on the TV and to battle Pokemon online.

Mario Party 8 - Wii

I wouldn't bend over backwards to go to this party

Having never played a Mario Party game before, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was alright, but nothing I would die for. The board games are fun and challenging, but when you spend an hour playing on a board just to tie and start all over, it burst my bubble. The mini-games are fun too, but when there are LOADS of 2 player minis, but only 3 one player minis, it gets repetitive. The graphics are terrible. Super Mario Sunshine had way better graphics, and that was a Gamecube games!

Spider-Man 3 - Wii

When Spider-Man met Raid

When you think Spider-Man 3 on the Wii, you automatically think it would be cool to use the remote & nunchuck to sling web. Well, that dream is a reality, and it stinks!. Spider-Man 3 lacks in almost every category. The mechanics of the web slinging is not good at all. I found myself slamming into walls, going the wrong way, and even getting myself thrown into the river (which kills you) The story is alright, but it's corny and the combination of bad mechanics and strange levels leads to replaying the levels over and over until you get the steps down. The graphics on the other hand, aren't bad... there TERRIBLE! The buildings look like gray rectangles, Spidey isn't that detailed, and everything just looks bad. The sound is decent, and the characters are actually voiced by the real actors. The commentator is weird and the enemies seem to only have two lines. Basically not a good game.

Excite Truck - Wii

Turbo-boosted truck smashing while driving by an erupting volcano is fun!

Excite truck is an excellent game to play. It has great graphics for a Wii release game, and the tracks are incredible. Although the game is short on playtime, I think it is fun for the couple of hours it takes to beat it. And although many say the music is crap, I like it. On a bad note, the controls can be... touchy, if you will. Air spins are hard to complete sometimes and you can find yourself running off-course because your truck doesnt turn. All in all, its a great title, but you can beat it if you rent it.

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree - Wii

Its fun, but sometimes feels like homework

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree is a great game concept and fits the Wii's unique style, but it didn't come out as good as I hoped for. The games are great and the test puts your skills to the test, but thats it. There isn't much to do. And after taking the test 10 times, I started to get bored. The multiplayer games are nice, but don't entertain for too long either. It's a game to try, but I'm not sure if I would buy it.
