Welcome to Rapture
This is a type of game that mesmerizes with it's visual surroundings and audio. It's the type of game you think a lot about. The entire premise of the game is about being in an underwater city(or whatever it is) and it's hard to dismiss this game as just a typical first person game. Is it a horror game? In a sense, yes, but then there are moments where you find yourself invincible with plasmids and then it doesn't feel like a horror game anymore. Every fight seems epic as you go up against TWO Big Daddys or fight a room full of Splicers in the dark. BioShock is a game not to be skipped. Even for a rental, don't miss out on an amazing game.

Not for the weak
For those of you who played Grand Theft Auto 4, there's no need to fear that the controlling of the cars are as painful as it was in that game because it's not. The controls are simplistic enough where you'll learn to use everything effectively in the first hour or so. The problem for many people won't be the controls or anything else but... the difficulty. This game has such a HUGE learning curve compared to other racers. You may seem overwhelmed by how perfect the computer drives at first, but know your surroundings and use the shortcuts to your advantage. Soon enough, you'll be collecting money and earning rep around Los Angeles.
Overall, this is definitely one of THE best looking games for the 360. You'll love cruising around for hours with friends online, playing capture the flag or even regular races. As I said though, this game is NOT for the weak. If you not that great at racing games, stick to the green and yellow races. The orange and red races require such precision that frustration is guaranteed.

Great... for a month
For those that like to play online frequently, the XBox Live Headset is NOT for you. Why? I mean I can talk to my teammates clearly and I barely ever have any trouble with it. Well, a good month after, the clip piece that attaches the headset with the thing that goes on your ear, usually breaks. Now, it might not happened as early as a month, but it WILL happen nevertheless. The headset is pretty decent, if only you didn't have to suffer through taping it or getting another one for 20-30 bucks. If anything, I highly recommend getting the Rainbow Six 3 headset as it is usually only 10 bucks which INCLUDES the game itself.

Don't have to look forward... but no shame in doing so
If you have the regular Xbox version, then there really isn't anything new here that his game has to offer. But nevertheless, you want the looks, it's damn fine here. The Godfather's events all revolve around the movie as you are the main character who sort of does the side story of things. As ironic as it may sound, it all comes together as you play on.
The game gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. From jacking cars to killing random people on the streets. But one thing that is very interesting here is the ability to "offer" protection to people in butcher shops, hotels and many more. This is sort of a side quest type thing, but it helps you earn money. Some of these people will refuse to accept your offer, but that's where the fun is. You can beat them down until they accept, and this comes in many forms too. You can just keep banging their head on the table, shoot them or just try choking them to death. Many options here as far as trying to convince them goes.
The controls are easily configurated and it can easily be mastered in a matter of a half an hour of playing. The thing that you might have trouble with is the strangling of your opponents. Clicking the thumbsticks will become second nature though sooner or later. The grapics are looking good, but only a notch better than those on the Xbox. As I said, that's about the only thing "better" on the 360.
Now, if you are into cheating, this might not be a big deal, but they took out the money cheat. How can you make easy money then? By paying Xbox Live marketplace points to get them. And no, you can't keep buying them over and over. Once you buy them, that's it. This is also held true for Level 4 weapons. So if you think this is a rip-off, feel free to just stick with the last-gen The Godfather game.
Overall, the game is pretty damn good. Movie-based game? Worried? Don't be. This game won't blow you away like Riddick did for FPS fans. But it's good enough to shell out the money for.

GTA step aside!
Finally, a game that can hold it's own when it comes to being called "another GTA game". The story is somewhat similar to San Andreas where your gang has to earn respect and take back the streets. So you start off by making your character look the way you want him to. Customization doesn't fall short here as you'll be pimping your car out and much more.
The game has tons of missions and the city has much to be explored. If your a GTA fan, you won't find anything lacking here. Although the controls can get a little clustered trying to swtich weapons and so forth. The aiming system here is better as you have more control without a full auto lock-on that makes used to make it a hassle to aim at the right target.
If you have 60 bucks and are looking for a solid game that is "good enough" before GTA hits the block, this game should do for the time being. Saints Row definitely delivers on the 360.
