A great start to a new series
Let me start off with I am not a big FPS guy, I haven't really gotten into FPS since the day's of Goldeneye and Halflife. But I gave Resistance a shot. Ok sure it doesn't look as good as Gear's of War, but at the moment nothing really does. The game has an intriguing story, the game take's place as though WW2 never occurred. And basically the cold war started early. America sealed it's boarder's a few year's before the game take's place. The US new's is government completely controlled so no one actually know's what's going on in the world. And out of Russia has spawn a mysterious human hybrid creature's called Chimera. Though there origin is unknown, you get the feel threw intro of the game that it was due to Russia working on a type of chemical agent. You are Sgt. Hale of the US army, you are on a second wave of troop's to be dropped into York. The US is delivering weaponry supply's in an exchange. The British convoy to York is ambushed and the Chimera are awaiting your arrival. The story unveil's itself from there, and is rather well thought out story. The connecting point's of the story are told threw a type of black & white story board which fit's the time frame the game is stuposed to take place in nicely. The level's are very large and have a lot of detail to them. The game while it's not short is not extreamly long either. But the game dosn't leaving you feeling let down, just wanting a sequal. They give you a teaser in the credit's. But the game is presented well, sure it dosn't look as good as GOW but it still look's good. With HD cable's (HDMI, or component) amplify's 10 fold how well the game look's. The gun animation is really nice, each weapon has a lot of detail put into it. And are very creative in design. The control's of the game are easy enough so you can learn quick and play the game. But will take you some time to master. The audio in this game is done extreamly well, from the Chimera grunt's and noise's/talking. To the OST, and even the voice acting. All is done extreamly well and bring's you that much more indepth to the story. The game has a very high amount of replay value with unlockable's, such as weapon's, CG clip's, and Online character design's. The online gameplay is also extreamly addictive. The map's are huge on the 40 man multi-player map's there are often multipul battle's going on around the map instead of just 1 big one. All around Resistance Fall of Man is just a very well put together game. Weither you are an offline, or online gamer, or even both this game is for everyone. Overall, if you own a PS3 this game should be standard issue.

Resident Evil's next gen Debut (kinda)
Though this game originally came out for the Dreamcast just before the PS2 was relesed. The PS2 was where this game really took off with fanbase. The story of this game is good ol' RE story line. Re-introducing character's (wont spoil the whole story) but Chris Redfeild (RE1) make's a return apperence. The story mainly following Clair as she try's to escape from a Umbrella controlled prision/test-lab island. The grafix for this game though now when looking back don't look to pritty they arn't bad. And were some of the best around for PS2 at the time of the game's release. The audio is awsome in the game from the OST, to the sound FX the RE series definatly has atmospheric FX down pat and they run with it even more on there jump to the next-gen. The controll's are classic RE, you either have gotten used to them and love em', or you can't stand them. The game is also rather long, so you wont be able to beat this in 1 or even 2 sitting's. The game take's many plot twist's, and turn's that you don't see coming. This is a great game all around, the only reason it dosen't score the 5 from me is because the DC version is the better pick of the two port's. But overall this is a must have for any Resident Evil fan, and if you are looking to get into resident evil, it's not a bad place to start either.

Won't dissapoint
This game was one that I was looking forward to while at the same time being very cautious. I loved playing Spy Hunter back in the day from the day's of the arcade to the console port on the NES. It was one of the most memorable game's from back when. And as my tittle say's this wont disapoin the old fan's of the series, and will probably pick up quite a few new fan's as well. The story line in this game is classic spy hunter, just check your brain at the door because this aint a thinking man's plot line. The game though look's very nice (keep in mind this game came out in 01') The detail in this game isn't great but it wont leave you nit picking either. The audio is ok, the Classic Spy Hunter theme music is there with a new age twist so you wont miss that. Along with some new spy driving track's. The control's in this game are smooth and easy to get a hold of. I havn't read GP review of the game so I don't know why the rated so medium I thought the controll's were solid. It would have been nice to have a bit more of a street racing feel to the corner's and such but that dosn't hinder the game play at all. This is a fun tittle for anyone just to pick up and play. You could probably get it for a rather moderate price now as well. Overall the game is solid just about anyone could have some simple fun with it and it will more than satisify the old school fan's.

An overlooked fun FPS
This game ended up not selling as well as hoped. Mostly due to the fact that the game relyed heavily on it's online counter part when PS2 online was just becoming availible. And it suffer's from a weak solo-campain. But the game all around is an overlooked game I personally have put quite a few hour's into. The game for starter's isn't the best looking game out there. The character model's look good but everything else just seem's bassic FPS. The enviroment's though are not heavily detailed, and don't get me wrong they look good. Also let's not forget that the game came out in 02', but the enviroment's are very expansive. Making it fun to go off on side attack's out of no where. The sound is good from weapon fireing to the OST sound good. But there is a lot of repititious vocal's during battle. Thankfull they game is so fast paced you get dragged into the action and you don't really notice it all to much. The controll's in this game are very smooth and responsive. Also easy to grasp and pick up and play standard FPS. But the in game option's make the game not the easiest FPS to grab full hold of. As I stated earlier the game highly rely's on the online gameplay, the solo mission's are more to teach you how the game work's and get your skill's honed for online battle. Online the game become's fun and interesting, with 15+ enviroment's and 5 style's of battle it give's every FPS fan what he/she want's in a game. The only downfall is the lack of team communication, you more have to either do a 2 player online to get real team action going. Or just get into a rythm with people over a time of playing. Making it hard to orgaize attack's and what not. At time's when people are constantly filtering in and out of the battle you are in thing's can end up as just throw yourself in a mass at the enemy. But overall this is a solid fun fighter that I would recomend to anyone who like's FPS, but note you must be able to get online to truly enjoy this game. Being as it's only about 5 buck's now you might want to pick this up and see what you missed.

A treat for Temrinator fan's but other's need not apply
I had high hope's for this game, as it serve's as a prelude to the Terminator series. And I wasn't dissapointed. Also let me add I am a huge Terminator fan so I will give that as to why I ended up liking this game so much, so other's may just want to skip this one. But the highpoint of this game would be the storyline, sucking you straight into the thick of the Terminator plot. Another thing that was done extreamly well in this game is the audio from the gun fire, to explosion's, to the sound's of the machine's everything sound's great. The controll's are a little occoward to get used to, but after playing threw a level or two you get the hang of it. The grafix are kind of the low point in this game. Though it has it's moment's of CG glory, it is a rather aged looking game. Even when it was released (when i purchased it) it just didn't live up to the standard's that you hoped. Overall this game is definatly not for everyone, but if you are a Terminator fan and want to get more into the thick of the Terminator plot line then this tittle is for you.
