Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii

Nintendo's greatest Weapon

Super Smash Bros Brawl is by far one of the most enjoyed game available on the Wii if not the most enjoyed game. the Smash Bros franchise is actually the only fighting franchise that i have ever enjoyed.

Gameplay

The Gameplay is what you've come to expect from the Smash bros franchise. It is fun, addicting, and great for parties. Each character has his or her own fighting style and moves which is an improvement from Super Smash Bros Melee where many characters were simply clones of others. The job is to knock your other opponent off of the stage and the more you hit them, the higher their damage precentage will be and the farther they fly when hit.

The A.I. has improved a lot from the other two Smash Bros games and makes battling the computer more difficult and much more enjoyable.

I believe that the Smash Bros franchise is all about multiplayer and it does it excellently. It allows for new gamers to pick up the controller and play but there is plenty of space between a beginner and a veteran in terms of skill.

There are plenty of different characters to choose from (though I wont tell you the exact number haha) so that each gamer has a character that is best suited to their fighting style. The variety of characters that is offered is amazing too, but they are well balanced so that players of equal skill shall always be guaranteed a good match no matter who they use. They have also brought back the major characters from SSBM and added a few to the beginning list until you unlock more.

Storyline

The storyline is new in this game. Classic mode (mode where you fight different characters in an order until you meet the final boss) is still available, but they have added a storymode which i find to be fun and yet extremely long... it is not long compared to a game that is built from a story such as Metroid or Zelda, but it is long for a fighting game based off of multiplayer. I have yet to complete it because i am so busy playing multiplayer, but so far the storyline is fun and entertaining. It has plenty of surprises that bring you off of your seat and have you like "Can that happen *mouth wide open*) but i would not purchase it simply for the storyline.

all in all, Super Smash Bros Brawl is one hell of a good game and i recommend it to anybody that has a Wii (yeah its that good) in fact, i bought my Wii just so that I could play this game and it is the only game that i have for it besides Wiiplay and I am not disapointed. 5/5.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Xbox 360

What isnt to Love?

This game is what we would expect after having several amazing Guitar Hero games before it. I only wish that there were more songs available, but the game is solid and extremely addicting. I've often invited some friends over and we all play Guitar Hero together and have a ton of fun. If you are a Guitar Hero fan then you will not be disapointed.

Assassin's Creed - Xbox 360

Gameplay VS Storyline

Let me say that this game surprised me from the get-go in both good and bad ways. I give it a 4.0 because there were areas of the game that i enjoyed and areas that i feel could not have been done worse. I'll seperate this review into two very different aspects of teh game with two very different reviews because that is the only way i can do it.

Gameplay

I enjoyed the gameplay a great deal. I loved that thrill of observing and then sneaking up on your opponent with a perfect kill. Though the gameplay was extremely repetetive it was still fun and though I kept doing the same thing over and over again, I still enjoyed doing it. I do wish that more weapons were available for use however because using the same sword over and over made the game feel a bit limited. I loved how I could climb any building that i wanted to and made the possibilities endless, it made the world feel real.

The swordfights of the game was probably the most amazing fighting style I have ever seen a game offer. They were amazing and relied on real skill to win. It wasn't the average "take 50 hits and live" style either. When you swordfight you fight for your life. If i had to judge the Gameplay alone i would give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Storyline

The story line disapointed me within the first few minutes of playing which is a pretty incredible feat. When it revealed that you were actually playing as a modern teenager through his memories in a machine it kind of blew the whole thing. It felt like i was playing as someone who was playing a video game rather than actually being the infamous assassin. It was a terrible feeling. The ending (which i shall not reveal) was surprising and somewhat a dissapointing attempt at what could be amazing. The story held its ground well enough but it was on the wrong ground to begin with. If I had to rate the storyline alone it would be a 2.5 or less.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Xbox 360

Owns the FPS

I look down upon people that give every game they play a 5.0 and it is rare that i see a game that trully deserves one, but Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of those games. Giving this game any less than a 5.0 is crazy

BioShock - Xbox 360

Excellent game... but not for kids.

This game deserves a perfect score. It is perfect. The graphics are the best I have ever seen and the gameplay is just as good. The style of gameplay is unique and like no other game i have encountered. The spooky atmosphere and gruesome enemies makes this one of my favorite games of all time. But the language is adult to the extreme. The number of ways that you can kill your enemies makes this game different every time you play it. The story is filled with twists that keep you on your toes as you explore the disgusting and violent utopia known as Rapture. There is no multiplayer which is just as well... the game is so good that you wont care. But the gore and cursing trully is terrible so dont buy this game at the same time you buy Viva Pinata okay?
