Burnout 3: Takedown - PS2

Burnout's unquestionable high point

Some people were disappointed with Dominator not having Crash mode and Revenge being like a "futuristic" looking, but for those who didn't get a chance to play a modern kind of racer than Takedowns your choice. Takedown was one of the most original Burnout game available. It has nice graphics with a smooth fast an furious feel while speeding down mountain trails, Asian streets and, European scenery all while carnage takes place on screen. The controls are slick and and tight. Since the game is pressure sensitive, you'll have to press the buttons harder than usual. Its no big deal but could turn off soft pressers. The crash physics are pretty but are not up to date with revenges and its always satisfying to see your car explode when you fall of a cliff. The wide selection of cars can keep you on the controller for hours trying to unlock them all. Now the Crash mode, it features 100 junctions to test your skills on how you'll create a perfect crash scene. Some range from easy to pull of to "damn i can't do this!". There are other modes like Time Attack and Road Rage where you have to keep taking down rivals before your car gets totaled, and of coarse Race which is everyones favorite. Takedown is the best Burnout out now and it will always be a great game.

Tekken: Dark Resurrection - PSP

Tekken:Dark Resurrection

If you have a PSP and not much games for it then you need to buy Tekken:DR. Simply put, this game is the best so far on the little handheld with challenging controls up-to-date PS2 like graphics and enough challenges to keep you playing. The controls are tough when you first play it but when you get a hold of it for about an hour you will get the hang of it and will start beating people up in Arcade Mode. This mode features ghost characters of other players which you can battle to increase your rank. The Story mode is decent but could get tough already in the later levels. The graphics look PS2 perfect, there maybe jagged lines on characters but you'll get used to the look later on. the game is a perfect port of the PS2 games and if you haven't entered the tournament last time, nows your chance to play it, anywhere.
