Darkstalkers Chronicle The Chaos Tower Review

Just another fighting game with a specific set of characters from the Darkstalkers universe. If you've ever played any of the series before or watched it then you should probably pick this up well at least if your a fanboy. It's not an expensive game anymore so if your looking for something to just toss into your PSP once in awhile this game might be for you. It's got decent visuals and nice controls.

Now there's 2 different types of game play there's the Chaos Tower mode where you pick a team of 3 and start fighting your way up the tower and depending on how / what you do leads your path up to the top. Some rounds restrict some types of moves you can use from kicking, using your fists and even your special moves. And one in awhile you just end up facing a boss which is like a grayed out version of the character. Your health never heals itself back up after the round is finished it slowly goes up after every fight you have though, so picking your characters makes it into a strategy a bit. You can also save your progress in the Chaos Tower and what floor you are on. While regular mode you just pick one person and fight the whole entire cast which just brings back the classic feel of it.
There is collectibles in the game and its just little artwork that you find mostly through the Chaos Tower mode. And you can view them through one of the options. The game also has multiple modes from based on the different series, which alter your characters special move.
So overall if you are looking for a cheap game and something to toss in when you have a little free time this game might just be for you.
