Resistance: Fall of Man - PS3

The Human Race isn't going anywhere!

Call me an early adopter, call me crazy for buying the PS3 on launch day, but whatever I am, all I know is that I am happy! Resistance Fall of Man is the game that everyone must have if you have a Playstation 3. Story 4.5 - You are Nathan Hale, an Army Ranger sent into Britain to fight of the Chimera who falls victim to the Chimera virus when his battalion is ambushed by the Chimera trying to meet up with the British forces. Unlike everyone else whose has fallen under the virus, he is immune but the virus seems to have infused with his body instead of infect it. Army Ranger Hale, with the help of the British forces, must stop the invasion before the world sees the fall of men from the Chimera. Gameplay: 5 - Excellent first person shooter. The controls feel natural. The AI is good. You be flanked Chimera more than you would like, but hey, that's how it goes. The Chimera are pretty persistent on making the title seem like reality within the game. What makes this game great is that it's tactical, choose your weapons wisely. Oh, did I forget to mention Co-op and multiplayer mode. They are great for friends if you bought extra controllers. Graphics : 4 - Graphics are excellent, but when the environment is big, you will notice the designer put less effort into small level designs. Sound : 4 - Nice sound effects from the Chimera to the guns. Overall 4.75 - A great title to be launched with the Playstation 3. Great replay value with Co-op and multiplayer action that will entertain you for a while you try to round up whatever money you have left from buying the Playstation 3 to buy a new game.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - GameCube

Set the fire ablaze!

Been meaning to review this game for a long time, but just never got around to it till now. Story: 4 - You take the character of Ike, who looks a lot like Marth but isn't, who is the son of Greil Mecenary's. Ike discovers an unconscious woman who is the Crimean princess. A war is about to break out between warring nations, can Ike stop it before it turns into a bloodbath battlefield. Gameplay: 4 - A chess like gameplay with 8 characters on the battlefield. You can buy and equip new armor, weapons, and gains new levels and classes. If you are an avid Fire Emblem fan, you know the style, but if not, think of it like Final Fantasy Tactics but with more characters Sound: 4 - Cut scenes with voice acting and the music is out standing. Overall: 4 - Another good RPG to add to the collection. Everything remains intact from Gameboy to Gamecube except the story. Still a good game to buy.

Baten Kaitos Origins - GameCube

The Origins become clear.

This is probably going to be your last good Gamecube game purchase unless you haven't bought the Wii and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which I must suggest everyone must buy!,and are waiting for that to come out on GC. Storyline: 5 - Great stand alone game even if you haven't played Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean. Forget Kalas, you are Sagi (pronounce soggy)with his companion Guillo (a para-machina/old robot) who have joined the Dark Service and his first mission is to assassinate the emperor. When he enters the emperor's room, he mets a person named Shanath who has already killed him. Shanath manages to get away with Sagi and Guillo caught and framed with the emperor dead. Sagi and Guillo must find out who framed them and the bigger conspiracy for the assassination of the emperor. Gameplay: 4 - Yes, the game play is repetitive but why such a high score. If you played Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean, you will be familar with the gameplay but if not, it's a card based battling system. You are constantly getting new cards, like basic attacks, specials attacks, armor, health cards, that you are changing your deck for every boss and harder enemies. You aren't figthing with same deck throughout the game. Grahpics 4.5 - Very nice graphical game. Not to complex and not to simple. I don't know if thats a bad thing but it works will. Sound: 4 - A lot of voice work and great music during the game. Overall: 4.5 - If you want to know more within the BK universe, this game is must have, it last well over 50+ hours gameplay and even a lot more doing the sidequest. If there's one things about this game that is bad, it's aggravating with some bosses. Otherwise a great game to finish off your Gamecube collection.

Elite Beat Agents - DS

Help people by....dancing?

I wasn't so sure about getting this game, but it turned into a great choice. Sure it looks corny, but it's definently a fun filled game. You may even laugh and have fun once you open up to it. Gameplay: 5. You played or seen DDR. Same concept but with a stylus. You hit the number in order of the cirle number has as the incompassing circle around the numbered circle closes and when it closes in on the circle thats when you tap as the music plays to it. It's hard to describe but once you play it, it's great fun. Graphics: 3. It's presented in a comic book style scenes telling the story. It can be quite hilarious at times. Sound: 4. It's your cover songs of your popular today's pop rock music. Can be annoying at first but when your in the groove, you don't mind anymore. Overall: 4.5. It may look stupid, corny, call it whatever you want but this game is fun. Entertaining through every level. Warning, you must have rythm

The Matrix: Path of Neo - PC

Being the one apparently has it's limits.

Finally you become "the one". And it doesn't turn out to be that fun. You would think having knowledge of all the known kung-fu, ablility to fly, super strenght and nearly invinicble, it would be fun. But sadly it doesn't live up to what we saw in the Matrix trilogy. Gameplay: 3. First you start off with barely knowing nothing like the begininng and learning the skills. Training missions, and releasing people from the matrix will help furthing the skills of becoming the one. Anyway to on the physical gameplay, it seems more like random taping of the mouse buttons to attack with addition with arrows keys to move and others to activate bullet time and other special moves. Story. 4. You know the story but there's more training we see for Neo to become the one. You will also have to rescue people from becoming deleted in the matrix. It's like the whole matrix movie fast forwarded (is that a word?) by 3. You do get to fight the infamous subway fight with Agent Smith, the fight with Merovingian's thugs, The burly brawl, and the super burly brawl. And a surpise secret ending by the Wachowski brothers. It doesn't end like the movie. Graphics: 2. This is a graphically poor designed game. Even by Atari standards. It's jagged rought squarish characters. I guess it's also with the semi-large environments with bullet time and every thing blowing up. It's below decent. Seems like N64's graphics could be this. Sound: 3. I think it's mostly archive footage with voices. I don't think Keanu Reeves did the voice for Neo. It had decent sound, not great and not terribly bad. Overall: 3. It didn't live up to being the one. It had limits to being the one. For example, flying, you really didn't have that much room to fly nor could you fly into space. It's more like a jump and hover. You could dodge bullets, and stop bullets, but you really didn't need to. Have the time you are pressing the attack buttons and taking the bullets because he regenerates pretty fast. There are alot of annoying levels, especially some of the training missions and some of the battles. They will fustrate you on any mode, from novice, to normal to the one mode. Like I said, this game did not live up to being the one matrix game as it could have been. The elements are there, but just couldn't be put in the right places.
