Lamepro needs to learn how to write gaming reviews....

Before I begin my review, Gamepro needs to make accurate accusations. I don't understand what's wrong with the controls, AI, or open world. All feel placed right. Now, on to the review.
To say that Need For Speed Undercover is one of the greatest racing games of all time is a gross understatement. It has to be one of the most stunning and amazing games of all time. This game gets everything right, and it continues in the footsteps of Most Wanted. Now, I thought for a long time Most Wanted was the best game of the series, as Carbon and the Undergrounds were men and Peostreet was just a smoldering piece of.... Yeah, you get the idea. But Undercover pulled EVERYTHING that was best out of all the Need for Speeds and incorporated it all into the game. From the amazing open world design from the Undergrounds to the realistic physics of Prostreet, the game just truly feels like a Need for Speed mosaic. The first thing that has seen a major overhaul is the story. I won't give too much away, but let me tell you that it is well-crafted. The full-motion cutscenes are also quite good, and take you into the world of illegal racing. The next thing that shines about Undercover is it's MASSIVE open world. Let me tell you, I'm almost done with the game, and I still haven't explored everything. Yeah, it's that big. It's so big that you'll be constantly wowed by the detail in the world. The next amazing thing is the crafty Heroic Driving Engine. Let me tell you that THIS KEY FEATURE makes the game. The engine allows to pull off amazing drifts and maneuvers, and is amazing. It adds to the overall game experience. Finally the cops. The cop AI is beastly. I mean, beastly! I remember my first time I faced cops on the lowest heat that it would be a waltz in the park, and next thing you know I'm busted! They will push your driving skills especially during the later heats.
I can't give any higher recommendation to Need For Speed Undercover. For those looking to extend the Need For Speed experience, prepared for a much needed refinement of the Most Wanted experience. The gameplay and story is solid, the driving is rewarding, and the online modes are fun and lag free. This is one of the best racing games I've seen in three years: go pick it up, you will not be disappointed.

I am a really big fan of the NFS: Most Wanted but when Carbon came out I was more then disappointed in what EA had shipped. Then when I played the demo for ProStreet I was discussed. Every game after Most Wanted was a joke. When I found out a new Need For Speed was coming out this holiday season I was like...I'm not sure if I wanted to waste my time.
Reviews:
I honestly could not find any good review about the new NFS: Undercover that really said, "buy this game". I found a few gamer reviews but they were too simple. GamePros review was well let's say, "It lacked a true Need For Speed gamer's perspective".
Did I like it?
I played Undercover for a little over an hour and honestly I like it. I did not play the multiplayer as of yet.
Would I recommend NFS: Undercover?
I would recommend this game to anyone that was a fan of Most Wanted. With the similar game play I feel that it's Most Wanted 2. Like you got busted so many damn times that your butt is owned by the law and to clear your record you have to go undercover.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
This installment of Need For Speed is much better then Carbon and way better then ProStreet. However NFS: Undercover is not as good as Most Wanted. I feel that the developers used Most Wanted as the starting point and then tired to improve on it. The developers came close but its still not Most Wanted.

only 2.5 stars, did anyone elses BS detector go off. With all the good reviews for the previous need for speeds, I couldn't believe this one when I saw it. I just picked up the game today and with only playing it for an hour or so It already deserves at least 4 stars. The game is totally streamlined and the selection of cars is awesome. Handling is more realistic than previous games, and the computer AI is pretty good. Sure the story is a bit cheesy, but NFS is about racing not drama, and thats where they really deliver. I can't believe that lamepro would would stoop this low to bash a very reputable racing game series. You guys seriously need to nut the hell up next time!
