well i played this game with high hopes and maybe thats why i didnt like it that much. the conduit was great at first, i was excited to play it and it wasnt hard to get into it ether. i was going in shooting everyone having fun as if i was playing halo for the wii. the part that realy brought the game down was the story. it was hard to understand but after the second time playing i kindof understood it. the graphics are good for the wii but compared to the xbox 360.... like always theres no competion. last the ending.... THERE WAS NO ENDING!!!!!! OMG i was so mad to find out nothing but that thers gona be a sequle. all in all it was fun but i really have to say rent it first.
Was it Worth the Wait?

I'm sure most of you have heard by now that The Conduit is an average shooter for the Wii with a cliche story, and repetitive gameplay. This information is mostly correct, but The Conduit does have some redeeming qualities. The story follows Mr. Ford and his fight to stop The Drudge from taking over Washington D.C., and all under a conspiracy theme. However, it can be predictable at points and feels all too familiar. The story does have some unexpected plot twists, but Mr. Ford just doesn't have enough character to him for the player to really care about his situation. The other characters in the story are more interesting, but not many background details are given about them, some of it to fuel a sequel. The story could have been much deeper had more background been given to the characters and if Mr. Ford had an actual personality. More cinematic cut scenes would have helped give life to the story. The acting is good, and the story serves its purpose as reason to kill things but doesn't do much else. The Conduits visuals are above average, but don't beat the likes of Metroid Prime 3. Guns and enemies are detailed, but environments are a little bland in some areas, primarily backgrounds and repeating hallways/corridors. Water and particle effects are great, and lighting is used in real time with the ASE. The music provides a good bit of atmosphere, and fits the action heavy gameplay. The main theme is very catchy but in a good way. Gameplay is pretty straight forward, you move through the levels alone shooting enemies and using the ASE to solve "puzzles" that don't usually amount to more than find the hidden switch(es). It's somewhat disappointing that the ASE wasn't used more creatively especially since it's a universal cipher and hacking device. Its importance to the story isn't revealed. Enemies are smart enough and use cover, but won't exactly bewilder the player with their strategic prowess and plan their moves carefully.Enemies continually spawn from conduits and egg sacs forcing players to get their priorities straight. Unfortunately, there aren't many enemy types which doesn't help the game seem less repetitive. The weapon selection is nice, and very balanced with no "garbage weapons" to be had. Everything in the arsenal is useful. The controls are excellent if time is spent to calibrate everything till it feels right; it took me about an hour to find a control scheme and settings I was absolutely comfortable with. Practically everything can be adjusted and customized with a few exceptions. The multiplayer supports up to twelve playes and is excellent-when it works. Like most Wii games it uses friend codes and getting friends to join you in random matches can be a hassle. There is little lag, but oftentimes I found myself being dropped from the match or getting caught in the crescent of death, a glitch that forces you to reset your console to escape or wait up to 20 minutes for the match to end. It is important to note that the connection at my home is almost always busy with something else along with online gaming. There are seven maps and quite a few game types including the standards like TDM and CTF, along with others like Shared Stock and Bounty Hunter. Wiispeak is compatible with The Conduit, but as of right now I have yet to test it. Players can earn XP and rank up to a maximum level of twenty-four and more XP is rewarded for kill streaks. Without leader boards to keep track of stats in the multiplayer there isn't much reason to come back back once reaching level twenty-four. However, those twenty-four levels should still provide quite a few good hours of entertainment. If you're a Wii only owner then The Conduit is most definitely worth a look, otherwise ignore it or give it rent.
Good, not great.

The Conduit had a lot to live up to.
1: delivering a good FPS to the Wii,
2:engaging us in the world they created,
and 3: keeping it Teen for a wider audience.
So the game has an excuse for the graphics to be bad on multiplayer, and for some control delays. But not for just a flat out confusing story. On their website, 1 month before the games release, they were giving away the story line.
In the end I had a freind tell me the ending, wich still did not make sense.
But on the other hand, the controls for single player were awesome, the graphics were the best on Wii and the audio was great.
All this, though still did not make up for the dissapointing and nongripping storyline wich did not even permit me to finish the final level.
In other words The Conduit did not live up to expectations, and was over all good, not great.
AWESOME

The Conduit is, by far, my favorite game on the wii. Customizable controls make gameplay so much easier and the online multiplayer kept my interest. The only things missing: A longer story mode and splitscreen multiplayer battles!
(I'll write a more detailed review soon)

First off i apoligise for making this review so short. GAMEPLAY: The conduit's gameplay is truly inovative (for the wii anyways) it's alot like halo mixed with 007 goldeneye. The fast paced action keeps up well with the stories pace (although single player was very short) the game itself is a very good one and defidently a hallmark for the nintendo wii. As a wii owner i have to admit that the wii isn't the most "graphicly" developed system ever, hell some games graphics are down right ugly. But the conduit takes that problem and drop kick's it right in the face. GRAPHICS: The graphics are THE best ive seen on the wii thus far. It's nearly on par with ps3 or xbox 360. It's complete with bump mapping depth of feild motion blur and more. So anybody sriveing to find a good shooter on the wii The Conduit is best bet.

Is this or is this not one of the best shooters on wii? I think it is. Now I know there have been alot of reviews on this game already and some were negative. Even when I searched The Conduit in reviews the Gamepro staff writer guy's was negative. But I think this is an awesome game. It is based in the future and the main character's name is Michael Ford. You get to control him and try to save the world from the Drudge. (Aliens) You are helping a dude named Promethius and the setting is in Washington D.C. You basically have to stop the Drudge from taking over. They cab also take over TRUST members as puppets. Not a really good storyline. But what it lacks in story it makes up for in gameplay. The weapons are pretty awesome and there is nothing more fun then whooping some alien ass with their own weapons. The three main weapons are Trust weapons, Drudge weapons, and Human weapons. The weapons are pretty neat. I personally think that they should have put more blood and violence in it and made it Mature rated. It would have been way more fun to shoot someone in the head and watch the blood splatter over the wall behind them.
I am about half way through the game and I only played it for about two days. That is why I put not enough content, also there arent many alien types. They could have added more alien types that would be cool. One more thing it could of had multiplayer throught the story mode. But all in all this game is worth buying despite what some people say. If you don't already have it I would get it if i was you, and if you di have it tell me what you think of it. Well gotta go because I paused where I was to write this review. Damn its addictive.

This is just a short review of one of my new favorites, The Conduit. The problems I had with this game are that I was looking for more modes and content like split-screen multiplayer or something else that adds to the fun. The com's can also get quite agrivating because most of the time the drudge just run around in patterns shooting at you but killing them, most of the time, is pretty fun. When you're fighting the big bug alien things, if you consider them boss battles, it's just okay and my final problem is that the end of the story let me down a bit. The good things are the great ability to remap the controls to your fitting of gameplay and the great multiplayer. This multiplayer is very fun with a pretty good variation of modes. The gameplay is pretty fun and draws you in to kill more drudge. The last thing is that these are some of the best visuals you can get on the Wii. Overall this game you should at least rent it if not buy it.

The Conduit is a solid fps with a few shortcomings. That about wraps up the Conduit in one sentence, but of course this is a review so I'm going to expand on that a little...
Gameplay: The gameplay is the basic run and gun method which comes with a little twist when the game introduces the ASE, (All Seeing Eye) a device that sees all hidden things (Alien messages for example), hacks computers, and stuff of that sort. Not much more that that.
Controls: The controls are not half bad to start out, but of course you can easily change just about every aspect of the controls, my only dissapointment is that whatever you decide to put in motion controls it has a tough time picking it up.
Graphics: The graphics in the game do not remind me of Golden Eye or even look like Golden Eye in any way whatsoever. This games has some of the best Graphics on Wii ever and even are better than some graphics on the 360. I'm sure Tae K. Kim wasn't wearing his glasses when he was playing this game.
Multiplayer: The multiplayer is by far the best multiplayer on the Wii, it has great arenas and it is very fluid. That was my experience anyway, I have heard stories of experiences when it was choppy and had very bad connection and that is probably because someone that person was playing with had bad connection, but if you have good connection you WILL have a good experience!
Content: This game has roughly 25-30 guns to use maybe a little less which adds a little bit of replay value becuase the is an award system where if you kill ememies 250 times with a certain gun (sometimes less that 250) you will get and achievement and if you complete all of the achievements you will get an award. to get a different award you must collect these data disk things that are hidden around in each level (10 in each level) to get the you must charge them with your ASE. You also must find hidden messgaes written by aliens that can only be found by the ASE they are also hidden around the levels (the number of messgaes vary each level).
Storytelling: The story in the game is very predictable and ends abruptly. Its the original Aliens trying to take over Earth with help of some humans yada yada yada, but the story does get quite interesting during the last chapter of the game, get ready for a shocker. Oh, and pay attention to the storyline it isn't all that confusing and boring and the reason why Tae K. Kim didnt understand the story is because he didnt pay attention and he didn't pay attention becasue he didnt care about the game.
AI: The AI in the game is good if you turn up the difficulty to hard of intense but on elevated, guraded, and low they will run up to you and try to hit you and they will just stand there and do nothing while you are shooting them
High Voltage Software didn't make their dream game they wanted, but what they did do is made one hell of a good effort and a game that deserves at least a 4 star or maye even a 4 1/2. THis is one hell of a good game and I'm sure HVS will fix it all up in The Grinder. (their next FPS)
