This is one of the most fun interactive games i've ever played it is cool and has pretty good graphics for wii. I love the way it is set up with the wii motion plus.

I recently purchased it and I gotta say, I wasn't very impressed. Out of all of the games (Archery, Frisbee®, Basketball, Cycling, Canoeing, Power Cruising, Table Tennis, Air Sports, Bowling, Swordplay, Golf and Wakeboarding) the only fun game is Frisbee. Just like Frisbee golf, you try to throw the Frisbee as close to the hole as possible, or in this case a huge shining light emanating from the Heavens. Definitely think it would be an awesome game to play at a drunken party, but other than that, even this game could get boring after a few times play.

Archery is my second favorite game, but there aren't enough levels. Why did they only make 4 levels? What is the deal with that? In fact, they made only a few levels for each of the games within sports resort. Archery wasn't too bad, but getting to the end level on expert mode within 2 minutes of playing is pretty anticlimactic. Definitely another fun one to play if you have a few people over, and alot of beer.

Swordplay is a waste of time. Good exercise swinging that WII remote as hard as you can in every direction while trying to slap your opponent off of the elevated disc and into the water, but thats about all you will get out of it.

Basketball is absolutely pathetic. There are two modes. If you play against a friend, all you do is toss basketballs into the hoop as quickly as you can, trying to make as many baskets as you can before the time runs out. The other mode, is vs a computer, where you have just a few options: dribble ball, which is meaningless since you can't move around in the game at all; block a shot, which is too easy to do because all you gotta do is raise the WII remote over your noggin and you will block every shot without the computer ever scoring; steal ball, which again is too easy but if you miss you have a chance fall face first on the pavement; but if you fall down and the computer takes a shot, you can throw the remote above your head and still block their shots.

Bowling and Golf are basically the same games that come with the purchase of a Nintendo WII. Differences? You are on an island. Wow!

I might get into the other crappy games that sports resort makes up some other time, but probably not worth it. My value on this game is $2. If you don't get it for that much, you are wasting your cash.

I'm going to be perfectly honest here - chances are, if you're an avid gamer, you will not be buying Wii Sports Resort for the twelve sports, but rather the Wii MotionPlus peripheral. And even though you may consider the game itself more of a demo for the new peripheral, you may be pleasantly surprised by the fun it provides.

The game plays much like a fleshed-out version of the original Wii Sports. Instead of having a meager five sports to play, Resort includes more than twice that, coming in with twelve sports for the family to enjoy. Theser sports include: Swordplay, Wakeboarding, Frisbee,
Archery, Basketball, Table Tennis, Golf, Bowling, Power Cruising, Canoeing, Cycling Air Sports.

While you may have seen some of these before, such as Golf, Table Tennis, and Bowling, the experiences are differed in the fact that Wii MotionPlus makes the experiences feel more physical. But the new sports are arguably even more fun - Swordplay in particular. The motions are now 1:1, and the whole time I played this particular sport, I could only think about how it would integrate into the next Zelda game.

Archery is another favorite game of mine, and with good reason. Long be
fore the Wii MotionPlus, I came up with my own theory for how a bow and arrow could work on the Wii - by pressing a button on the Nunchuck, pulling it back, and letting go of the button. While this did not happen in Twilight Princess, it was implented into this Archery game. I also enjoyed how gravity and wind factored into the game.

Wakeboarding makes great use of the Wii MotionPlus peripheral

Still, the games aren't as expansive as they could be. The game comes in at $50, and the Wii MotionPlus peripheral is sold seperately for only $20. So, is the game worth $30? While I personally think so, you might not want to buy such a casual game for that price. More "hardcore" gamers would probably be more willing to buy the game if it had Wi-Fi connection, a feature I sadly realized it did not have.

If you're a casual gamer, without a doubt, pick this game up. But if you're looking for a more meaty experience, there are better games for you - though don't forget to buy the Wii MotionPlus peripheral seperately, because it has been confirmed it will be used in the next Zelda game. 7.5/10

Just bought it today, I've been playing it for about an hour. I am very let down that they didn't tell you that you have to have one of those MotionPlus things on BOTH of your controlers in order to play with 2 people at once. Besides that though, I'm enjoying the new sports and the updated sports such as bowling and golf.

The original Wii Sports came bundled with each and every Wii, and it only carried five sports, so you could be forgiven for thinking it was one of those games not worth playing (even though it was). Try not to make the same mistake with Wii Sports Resort. For one thing, it's packing twelve sports, not five, most of which have multiple modes of play. For another, something comes bundled with this game, not the other way around - a little gadget called MotionPlus, which may seem like a gimmick but isn't. For another...well, let's face it, you were getting a little tired of baseball, weren't you?

Apart from golf and bowling, the only two holdovers, it's a completely new experience. Some sports you might expect (basketball, canoeing), while others you might not (jetskiing, wakeboarding). There's a lot of emphasis on air sports, which involves either flying a plane or jumping out of one - which is the first thing you do, as a matter of fact, at least after you sit through a three-minute video on how to use the MotionPlus (most of which a six year old could figure out).

I was wary of this little plastic gadget - how much more real is this going to make things? Turns out, a fair bit. With Wii Sports bowling, I was constantly trying to make the bowling ball spin. With Wii Sports Resort bowling, I was always making the ball spin, even when I didn't want to. Without sounding like I'm trying to come up with slogans for these guys, you could feel the difference. I haven't yet tried it out with any other games, but who knows what it could do with something like, say, Red Steel?

I mention Red Steel because it's great what this game does with swordfighting, easily the best sport of the bunch. You can either spar with a friend or bot in a best of three match, or play through a mode called "Showdown," which involves you fighting your way through waves of bots. Addictive? Sure is. (Other top choices include archery, basketball, and table tennis, which is sure to please you fans of Wii Sports' tennis.)

All the sports have their moments, and some are better than others. But all of them have one thing in common, not just with each other but with their Wii Sports brethren - they only last so long. If you're a gaming hermit like me, who doesn't spend all his time in multiplayer lobbies, that's a problem. Obviously, any decent game can have years added on if you've got willing friends, and the same applies here, but that's only if you have friends who want to try it out. (Once they do, they'll like it.) One thing I would have liked is for them to have added something like softball in place of baseball (throw underhand, not over), and maybe karate in place of boxing. It would add some more variety, while not boring anyone to tears. (Speaking of which, can we please not see golf ever again?)

But if, as seems to be Nintendo's hope, this MotionPlus thing catches on the way Sixaxis...well, didn't, you'll be glad to have one. And besides, this game is just as much fun - no, scratch that, more fun - than its predecessor, and everybody loved that one.

This is definately a good buy to get. There are plenty of games and games you can unlock. I found myself enjoying the golf game quite a bit more than on the original wii sports. It seems nintendo knows how to make fun games more than anything else. the new controller add on really does change things quite a bit and this is definately a good buy for those who like sports games.

this is a very fun game to play, multiplayer is awesome as well, my 9 year old's been playing it ever since it came out. wonderful game, as fun as the first one that came out,keeps you occupied and passes the time away before you know it. The WII motion plus is a unique gadget in it's own i own 3 of them .
