This game is just plain fun. The only thing that makes this game bad is the people you play against.

iin my opiiniion Call of Duty WaW was the best Army game iive ever seen and played...ii had thiis game siince iit came out.....Same for Modern Warfare...When part two of modern warfare come out November 10 ii thiink iima get out of the world war 2 sectiion and go to the modern tiime....But know siince thiis game iis always goiing to be a good classiic game ii always wiil be playiing from tiime from tiime on my X-Box 360. If anybody had any douts about call of duty revisiting the ww11 scenario then i can happily say that you can put your worries to rest because cod waw is my favorite call of duty in the series. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay in cod waw is amazing. The sound effects spanning from gunfire to explosions to trees falling and fire crakling is all eerily realistic. As you span from Russian cities like Stalingrad all the way to the pacific theater the gameplay just doesn't give up. The intensity in world at war is simply amazing and may give you some real adrenaline while playing through the game's mission's and online modes. Nazi's will take cover behind anything that look's like it could block bullets. But somtimes that could turn against you. In previous call of duty's a hay bail or a wooden crate looked like perfect cover. But world at war pay's such close attention to detail that bullets will easily pierce the flimsy hay in a hay bail or will with only a few bullets travel through drywall and wood and such. The Japanese are also a new welcome addition to the call of duty series. The Japs will use guerilla tactics to take you and your squad down. They will play dead, hide in trees,charge at you with beyonets and even hide in tall grass waiting for you to make a mistake that will lead to your demise. Also some of the protagonist's will even drop F-boms now that the tone has been directed to a more gritty and realistic setting. GRAPHICS: The graphics in cod waw are amazing. The atmosphere feels gritty and unclean. Everything from the way the characters move to the way the gun's flash is all amazingly realistic, this is a true world war two simulator. As you are playing through the game the blood splatters and gut's somhow remind me of the movie "saving private ryan" watch the movie and then play world at war and you will see a resemblance. Although some core fans may be let down the gameplay excperience remains amazing and fun. So if your a world war two freak like me or if your a fan of call of duty's world war two set games than you will want to check this one out.

I have always been a Call of Duty fan. When I first got my playstation 2 for Christmas, Call of Duty: Finest Hour was one of the games that came with it. I remember following my Russian comrade through the hellish Stalingrad and I immediately fell in love with the series.

What I loved about it was WWII...which is why I was saddened to hear that they were making a "Modern Warfare" and now a "Modern Warfare 2". I used to have a certain prejudice against the whole Modern Warfare deal, but I got over it...I still wish that they would continue with WWII action.

Okay, enough rambling, back 2 the game!

COD has always been good for their story telling, and they lived up to their expectations on that part. The controls were solid, easy to learn and simple to use.

There was a good variety of weaponry that I enjoyed, its easy to find which weapons you like and which just aren't for you in a game like this.

The game is a very short game. 6-8 hrs, max. This is to be expected of CoD but still...I was still hungry for more when it was over.

Now, when you finish the game you get this awesome feature: Nazi Zombie mode. I at first assumed this to be some stupid joke of a feature but it is actually REALLY cool and very addicting. This is definitely a part of the game that you want to play with your friends, it is amazing. You feel like you are actually attempting to survive a zombie apocalypse. Although there are some stupid parts of the feature...like the fact that it costs money to move a couch off of a staircase? But I got over it quickly, its a great feature...actually kind of scary.

Now...my only big complaint about this game...I'm probably going to rant a little about this but LISTEN, this is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever seen in a game. I beat the game a couple days after buying it and invited my friend over to play some co-op mode with me. He came over, we sat down, got out the pop and chips and started the game, but WTF!!?!?!?!?!? For some strange, unexplained reason, when you play on co-op mode in this game, they take a good 1/3 of the space out of the mini screens to put up some stupid background. WHY GOD WHY!? What could the purpose of this possibly be!? Yes, the background is cool, its pretty, its nice to look at...but when I am shooting at Nazis, I am NOT looking at the background, I am aiming at the Nazis! The screen got that much smaller because of the stupidity of the creators of this game. Seriously- who made this game and said "Hey, we don't really need to make the screens full sized on co-op mode, they're already cut in half but...why don't we just take out a little bit more? I don't think half is enough."

And why did someone think that this was a good idea for Co-op but not for multiplayer deathmatches, why do it for one but not the other? I just don't understand! And that is why I said that multiplayer is both awesome and sucky at the sametime, I really like multiplayer deathmatches. There is a cool thing you get after 7 kills, a pack of dogs run after your enemy and kill him. I think that is SO cool. But...co-op is just...flawed.

As a final note, the computer is a little dumb. You could be standing right next to them sometimes and they wouldn't even know it.

To conclude, this is one of the best fps games I have ever played. It is definitely worth the time and the money. For your own health, buy this game. Its worth it. If you are looking for a great co-op venture, however, just buy Resident Evil 5....

This is one of if not the best games for xbox 360 if you have this game you must get live for the best expierience.

World at War is an awesome game. Because it has great online action and its very competitive. Also a great story based on WWII. It cant get any better this game beats out any of the other Call of Duty. I would reccommened this 2 everyone. So if you dont have go buy cuz u will regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
