First thing I noticed in Prince of Persia was, this isn't a game, it's a painting. Then I really got into it and said "this isn't a game, it's a interactive animated movie. Seriously. Prince of Persia has such simple controls, you can almost play just with the Left Stick and the A button (Xbox 360). The only time I found that I wasn't waiting to hit the A button again was during combat. Combat is very very VERY repetitive, each enemy has a weakness now and then, but it's really missing many things. One, you can only fight one enemy at a time. Two, you can't die, so don't even worry about pausing the game to go make breakfast. Three, after you get the combo's down, it's quite a sinch. Aside from that, like I said before, combat is an interactive movie, you really just sit back and press the buttons a few times and your character flies all over the screen in bullet time yelling at his pretty dressed girlfriend "NOW!" and "GO!" like a kid down the block who only play's End War for the DS while eating saltine crackers. The acrobatics are quite nice, but it doesn't require much work. Each boss has some special skill, but it doesn't really feel like a challenge to beat the black gooey stuffing out of them. If I was reviewing this game for graphics it would have a 12 out of 5. Ultimately it's like playing a simple RPG in an arcade were you just choose stuff and the game does the rest. Oh yes, Erika and the Prince have the cheesiest voice acting ever. It's so obvious that the Prince is falling for her every time she has that light seed orgasm. Great game, needs quite a lot of tune up. If your thinking of spending your money on this, wait for the price to drop a bit

Fun for fans

Pros Cons
Engaging story Terrible multiplayer
Intense action
Innovative concepts
Just plain fun

I think this is a remarkable game. It's hard to really compare it to the past PoP games of the last few years, since it's kind of a reboot of sorts. It uses a lot of the same control concepts, but it's still different enough to create a real learning curve. But after about 10 minutes or so, I had gotten used to it. The visuals aren't bad, though I must say I prefer the of the last generation games. None the less, it's still a nice presentation overall.

The story is pretty interesting. It's actually quite complex, having a movie quality story. The prince himself is a little more silly, but he certainly has more a sense of adventure and fun this time around. He's got some pretty amusing lines, and he has a way of actually saying what I was actually thinking most of the time, which was cool.

Overall, this is a game that's pretty easy to get into, and the game is just plain fun. It's cinema's are well proportioned and the action is consistent and and well designed. Despite some visual and control flaws, this turns out to be a lot of fun.

Rental!!!

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Poor storytelling
Awesome audio Not enough content
Innovative concepts Doesn't live up to expectations
  Repetitive gameplay

1st thing, its made by the group who did Assassin's Creed, so that means after the first 30 mins of the game you've seen everything there is to do in the entire game. The graphics are sick, it looks like nothing else and the platforming is on par with the previous P.o.P.'s but you CANNOT die so there's NO challenge. Even in boss fights you can't die, you get pushed to the edge of a platform and you get pulled back in. There's only 5 bosses, and you fight them 5 times each, only to see the same animation over and over and they don't even get stronger or change strategy. Plus all of your battles are 1 on 1 battles, so no more bad ass fighting 4-5 guys at a time. The story is predictable from the beginning. There aren't any moves to unlock so you don't get that feel of progression like you did in the other games of the series, no special powers, nothing at all. Rent this at all cost, its only good for the achievements because there are a lot of easy ones, you'll end up with at least 500 from the 1st completion of the game.
