This game is okay. Don't get me wrong its way better than the previous installments. But when I played it for about a week I just lost interest. So if your on the fence I say rent it and see for yourself. I should have done that but I fell for the hype again... It is the same formula from the previous madden's but with improved graphics. They removed some glitches but still have another one that people exploit. The auto snap to the WR glitch... damn cheaters. The visuals are great. The controls, for the most part are good. Not really much to say here. Its okay, its not the greatest ever, nfl2k5 still holds that.. sorry madden, but yeah the game is good. If your a madden diehard well you don't need my review to sway you. You'll get it anyway. A football fan? Yeah I'd say get it. A gamer? Nah pass. And for the record I am a football fan, Go cowboys. Game gets a 3.5/5.

This year I found madden 09 to be the most full version of the series to date. the game play is the best yet the presentation is that of a real football game, from commentary to the camera angles it is simply the best. cannot wait until next year just to see if they can improve on so close to perfection. And the new keep it close feature as I like to call works very well, although annoying for the better player it keeps everybody in engaging multi player games.

I've been playing Madden games seriously for probably the last 10 years and I have to say, this game just keeps getting better. Despite the lack of competition now that they have an exclusive deal with the NFL I really like the steady improvements that the franchise has been making.

Is this game worth buying EVERY YEAR? Maybe, but I don't, this year happened to be a year that I did and I have to say I'm impressed with all the new features.

My Favorite feature has to be the Superstar mode, I really enjoy being able to play the field as just ONE player and have the rest of the game sim'd for me.
