Madden 09 is a great hang out game to play with friends for the day. For a game to play day to day for weeks, it's not such a great idea. The graphics are good but sometimes the players don't respond well or do things for no reason. The deep ball also needs to be corrected so it can't be completed 2 out of every 5 passes unless you like the arcade football. I'd say try it before you buy it, but I think Madden 10 has to be amazing for me to stay on the Madden bandwagon.

So, I've tired madden football out mostly cuz I liked 05. Well this isn't 05. This is 09. That's kinda like 05+4, but I really wouldn't call it plus because I still liked listening to Tony Bruno not know what he was talking about. Anyway, as for the game, you spend most of your time playing fottball. Makes sense, cuz this is a fottball game. If you like fottballball, you might like this game, if not you might not.

There are balance issues when it comes to the AI with the offense and defensive lines. You'll usually hit a brick wall when trying to blitz the computer's quarterback while your O-Line usual let at least one guy through un-touched when they send at least 5 guys at you. maybe I'm not as good at seeing a blitz pre-snap but I expect more than 1.5 seconds before a tackle gets to my QB.

Tom Hammond is descent. Chris Collinsworth does as a good job with the color commentary, about as close to getting the call of a real game as you will get in a sports title.

Very accessible online component. Very easy to find someone with similar skills as you to play with. I never noticed any lag in the games I played.

Good franchise mode with the ability to build your team from scratch and take them all the way from preseason to the Superbowl.

Madden 09 is pretty easy as far as getting the achievments. Not as easy as Madden 06, but pretty close. Most people can get at least 900 points with very little difficulty.

[ @-.� Usually, Foot Ball Games are not my type of games. But when I searched for Info on the new one for my cousin. My Idea changed, at a point that you wouldn't understand. One of the best Tactical/Sport game i've ever played. That's my idea of the new Madden. Then...

Madden 09 makes the upgrades that you would think a next gen title would make. It upgrades the visuals and the user difficulty setting is a plus. They still didn't take care of the small glitches like when the computer get's the ball near the sideline he runs out of bounds.But the overall game is still as addictive as it was 20 years ago.

This game is just amazing... they took everything from 08 and made it 10 times better.. The gameplay is alot more realistic now
