Where to begin, lets do the bad first.

Was Gears of War better than the first ...yes, but not by much. The story expanded a little but not much. The overall story with the in fighting with the Locust was done very badly. Also the story about the Abandoned Research Lab led no where and was pretty pointless, except a little about Gears of War 3 which I'm sure will be coming out in a couple of years. Also the climax of the game was anti-climatic. The game was a little easy and short for me.

Now I don't want you to think I hated the game. No I really liked it. First the graphics were excellent. The game play was also great. I like how you have to think in battle or you'll die. The story about Dominic's wife Maria was well done and was the only story in the game I really paid attention to. I also like how Marcus's character has grown and how he has grown close to Anya. The rest of the characters were great also from Cole to Carmine. The last thing was the ending which I did love and after the credits you also get another hit of Gears of War 3.

Overall Gears of War 2 is a very good if not great game, but it lacks depth to be a excellent or a classic game on the level of Metal Gear Solid games, Fallout 3, Mass Effect and others on that level. Still this game is worth playing, just don't be surprised if you'll a little let down after it's over.

Well lets keep thiis short and fun......Best X-box 360 anyone can ever get....Who ever dont got thiis game iis so ass....But yea(LOL) Only bad thiing about thiis game iis the unveliiable laggiing thiis game got....Liike OMG.... ii almost broke my 360 cause of the laggiing but really get part 1 and part 2 of thiis game cause you can understand thiis alriight.....Just countiing the months cause part 3 can come out....

When I first bought Gears of War I almost immediately fell in love with the game with the action and the online multi player. I beat the game on Insane in about a week and continued to play it again and again till I got bored and was able to beat it in about a day or two and knew every cut scene by heart. Then I played online everyday. But when I heard Gears of War two was coming out in November 2008 my heart went soaring. I couldn't wait I pre -ordered it immediately and then in November 2008 I received my game. Played it for hours and beat it in about 5 days. It certainly wasn't as good as the original (what game is) but with the new executions, and chain- saw dueling, and new characters, maps and cut scenes. I was sorta also just glad it was something new besides RAAM and a Corpser, now theres Corpsers you kill with cannons and now your able to kill and ride a brumak and a reaver which was cool. I know i'm late with this review but I just found the site today and wrote my review for it. But if you haven't bought this game yet, don't, buy the first one (only $17.99 used at a game stop) and play it to get some of the stuff in the second, then buy the 2nd, I heard it's pretty cheap from what it used to be (my friend bought it used for like $29.99 i think he got it for).

GOW 2 is one of those all-time greats in the gaming industry. You can go months on end without picking up another game...if only for the multiplayer!

The problem with the multiplayer revolves around connecting and dropping. It can take far too long for a match to be properly connected and all too frequently there are too many drops after the length of time, not liking the teams or not being the host. This can be really frustrating!

The horde feature, which is multiplayer as well, is fantastic! The originality of the concept is brilliant. The recent addition of being able to restart at the wave your team last died on is a great and needed addition. If you can play Horde the way it was meant to be played- to play WITH a team and survive, rather than individually kill everything- you will have a tremendous amount of fun and your friend requests will go up too.

The voice acting for this game is very under-appreciated. The voices are unique and fitting, the acting is good- especially Marcus Fenix- and the ability to play the different characters in multiplayer is fun just to be able to hear the different exclamations.

This is a game for your game library-- get it!

Gears of war two has been put down by many but i hope that you'll take this review into consideration. Gears 2 lives up to the excpectations in lot's of way's and only falls short in a few way's. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay is gears of war 1 times 15 the gameplay doesn't really fall short at anything (in the campaign). If you were a fan of gears 1's fast paced cover to cover shooting than you'll love what they have done with gears 2. The formula in gears two remains basicly the same as in gears 1 but theres alot more to look at in GOW2. GRAPHICS: The graphics in gears 2 has improved since gears one, but it's xbox 360 what do you excpect? MULTIPLAYER: The multiplayer is where the game falls short. Sometimes theres lag and somtimes theres glitches and blaa blaa blaa, but none of that matter's the games multiplayer is still fun to play when your finished the campaign mode and have played through horde mode. Also the new "horde mode" takes a great twist. horde mode pits you against increasingly hard and numerous enemy's in a frantic fight to survive. The super gory finishing moves are absoulutely awsome. I find myself thinking of the words "FINISH HIM" every time i get the chance to execute an enemy. Theres nothing more satisfying then puting a chainsaw in a locust's back and watch him twitch in pain as blood jumps through the air landing on sorrounding objects. The game will defidently keep things interesting until the end so if your a fan of the first gears of war or even if your not than you'll want to check this game out. Awsome. Simply awsome.

this game is worth buying. many have put it down because of the matchmaking. i admit it can be slow, but the halo 3 matchmaking is even worse. this game has a great story. horde mode is the funnest part of this game. if u still play gears 1 you probably wont like gears 2.

lets do this lets just say this is a lot more badass then gears of war 1 even better multiplayer and the game is well.........great the singal player ammzzing ane great one more thing BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by connor wideman

This Game was off the chart so fun game love the graphics I thought this was better than the first gears of wars. Very good for a first person shooter Intense action with all the crazy weapons. But their was one problem it was not different from the other game the story kind of changed But still I wanted something different I hope IF they make a third one it will be different and better So this Reviwe was short sorry about that but I highly recommend you buy this game it is just a ton of fun for your 360.

Gears 2 was a great game to play solo. great visuals, controls, audio, the works. However, Multiplayer kind of fell apart for me. First off, Matchmaking took FOREVER to find you a few other players, and then, the really experienced players would take you apart with a combined use of skill, better weapons, and level glitches. Great solo campaign but not so much Multiplayer.
