An Amazing Game of Super Powers and Morality

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Poor storytelling
Intense action Unresponsive controls
Addictive gameplay
Just plain fun

Infamous has proven itself as one of the best playstation exclusives since it's predecessor, Sly Cooper. The game shows that you can decide anything you want with your new found powers. Become the hero the failing city needs, or the villain to put it out of it's misery.

The game has great environmental graphics. The city is a sight to behold and crowds react to you by your karma level. Wether they take pictures of you if your a hero, or gang up on you if your infamous. The powers are amazing, ranging from electric bombs to unleashing a thunderstorm upon your enemies.

Unfortunately, Infamous does have its flaws. To roam around the city is great but having to keep tapping X to climb gets quite annoying. Also, enemy placement needs improvement because sometimes there are just to many at one time and seem to never run out of ammo for their weapons. These are just minor though. The biggest flaw of this game is it's story. Working long and hard and fighting through hordes of enemies that would just make you throw the controller at the t.v screen ends up to have the worst plot twist comparable to M. Night Shyamalan's stories.

But, Infamous is worth to be apart of your PS3 collection and deserves the honorary title of 5 stars.

an amazing ps3 exclusive!

Three words for ya, BUY THIS GAME! I just bought this game about three weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Even though this is only a single player game, theres tons of things to do other than just the story missions (even though the story missions are probly the funnest part about this game). Theres 300 blast shards to find, millions of side misions, and 32 dead drops that make you keep guessing about whats goin on. The presentations in this game are simply stunning. The city and all the civilians look very realistic and each of the districts have their own unique things. Sure there are a couple glitches in the game but they never aggrivated me so much to turn off the game and walk away. About an hour after playing this game it just seems fun. The story will suck you in right from the beginning and you will sometimes even feel like you are Cole (the main character). One last thing i wanted to say was the control scheme fits perfectly and it is nearly impossible to forget how to use each power.

So if your looking for a great single player game with an engaging story and high replayability, then this game is for you.

this game is just screaming for more content and a sequel !!

i guess this is just a matter of opinion but it was 9/10 for me . sure the visual aint that fabulous , but like fallout 3 , it delivered the feeling of a messed up city . the game brought many fresh innovative gameplay that many longed for . nowaday , everyone just play safe, play by the book and improve little by little . infamous really improve and beyond .first is the morality system . not many game put morality choices as heavy as infamous . fallout3 , fable 2 ... all just stratched the surface as it was only part of mandatory works , not a lot of affection the story .the story was excelence and the control works perfectly .i. i find the comic cut scene really good and .... comicky ^^ . this is a comic hero game , a comic art cut scene isnt something unpredictable . the only -1 i gave for this game was because : sure it has a lot of replayablity , im kinda hoped it would last a bit longer . it would take about 7days to finish everything the first play through (expect 8 hours a day ) . then the second play through ( when you switch from being evil to good or vice versa ) is about 8 hours total if you're just gonna fly by the main story in easy . overall , it's an exlence game that deserve a buy for everyone who like : comic book , action game , open world rpg and even shooter .

the game end with an epic , or some might find cheap and stupid ... depend , boss battle with a final shocking relevation that make you scream for a sequel.i played through this game many many time and still find it really really fun .but how many time can you pump electricity into others body without getting bore because of no stuff to do ? i really hope DLC will come soon, if any . i already know that a sequel is on the way , needless to announce .

K first off this is my first review okay. I found this game to be moderately fun but the game has some problems it has poor storytelling ugly visuals at times and it didn't live up to my expectations and the game is to short if u play it nonstop u can beat it in 3 days ( depending if u want all the trophies ). I recommend renting it first so u don't waste $60-$70 on a game that will only last u a little while.

Awesome game but,.....

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content
Engaging story
Addictive gameplay
Tight controls
Just plain fun

From the way inFamous tells its story to the way the game controls and presents its self it is an extremely addictive game is just plain fun! Also there's a ton of replay ability with the karma choices, blast shard collection, and dead drop finding. However after you beat the game once and you know what going to happen in the game the amount of replay ability doesn't matter as much. So I'm hoping that sucker punch will release DLC for it to add even more replay ability to the the game and expand on the awesome amount of powers. Also on normal difficulty the enemies are a tad brainless ,however on hard this changes and even the extremely weak reapers are smart.Overall inFamous is an excellent game and if you have a PS3 and don' buy this shame on you you'll be missing out on one the PS3's best exclusives!

Famous

Pros Cons
Addictive gameplay Repetitive gameplay
Just plain fun

inFamous is a new game out from Sucker Punch. I can not say that I am familiar with their work in the past. I did get the chance to play through inFamous in the last week. I have to point out that my Pros and Cons might look like they contradict themselves, but I believe that is how the game is like.

The game was repetitive to say the least. I found the best way to do anything in the game was the regular lightning bolt attack. These adds to the repetitiveness of it. The combat in the game felt almost tacked on. The enemies were different but the same. The developers took the same concept for the enemies and applied it to every enemy in the game.

I found the game addicting. The minor flaws do not outweigh the big picture in any game. I found myself coming back to this game many times a day. I do not know what else to say about it besides that. A game that can keep me coming back many times a day is worth it.

I didn't feel like going through the game like most reviewers do. I figure if you wan't to read something like that. You would rather read it from a person who actually gets paid to do it.

I hope this brief thing about the game helps anyone with choosing whether you play it or not.

This is one of the best PS3 games of all time. Great visuals, storyline, situational ethics choices that weaves who your character evolves into. I think this is a must have game for PS3 owners. When I'm finished with playing the good Cole, I'm going to play through being a bad Cole... very replay-able!

This is one of the most interesting games I have ever played. Starting with the story, it is interesting and deep. For gameplay, you do alot of frying and zapping baddies but many other things are included. There are a few annoying audio stuff and 0 multiplayer whatsoever. Over all, it is just an amazing game. A sequel or add-on would be much apreciated.
