This game is good it's like a madden game but the only difference is the variety of teams and hall of famers you can play as. If you would like to play like a Hall Of Famer get this game.

This is one of the best football games in a while. I think it will be better than Madden, but about the same with NCAA 08. That game was also great, but this game has some new controls which take some getting used to but they are good and fresh for a football game. Great game for any sports fan.

I never exprienced online leagues and I read all about online league play on this board and decided to give APF 2K8 a try. I was not disappointed at all because I feel that APF 2K8 gives me everything that I am looking for in a football game. I will list the things that I looked for: 1. Fresh football game: I never played NFL 2K5 on the PS2 or X-Box so this is an all-new exprience for me but being a vet of EA Sports pigskin titles, I have grown weary of EA Sports' ways of removing features one year and then a year or two later they bring them back. I have read that 2K Sports doesn't have the same bum rap. 2. Customizable playbooks: I was ready to drop $60.00 on NCAA College Football 08 but just a week before its release, I learned that EA Sports still didn't put the customizable playbook feature that are found in the PS2/X-Box versions. That was the last straw for me and ended my support of EA Sports. 3. Online leagues: This is something that has yet to be found in an EA Sports game which is patheic and that is what I read on websites such as GamePro.com for instance. 4. Create your own team: I created a team that had black and bright green colored uniforms and they just look cool. But the biggest deal is no players have ratings but a list of abilities. You want a power running back? Pick Earl Campbell or Natrone Means (my man). Want a QB that is famous for come behind wins in the 4th? Pick John Elway or Dan Marino among the listed QBs. I could go on and on about this but I feel like this is what makes APF 2K8 a very fresh idea that EA Sports decided to include those things in Madden 08. 5. The AI IS IMPRESSIVE: I have played against the computer AI at least 20 times and I can safely say that the challenge the computer gives me is much more better than I ever got in Madden or NCAA Football even at the higher difficulty levels and I'm still on the default difficulty level. This is just my only second 2K Sports game (got NHL 2K7 for the old X-Box) but this is also my first online exprience with 2K Sports and I can say this is so much better than what EA Sports has been able to offer even on X-Box Live. THE BEST FOOTBALL VIDEOGAME IN QUITE SOMETIME

This is the football version of Gears of War. Great online, short offline. If you are looking to play leagues online you can't do better than the 2k series. If you are looking for deep one player modes stick with NFL 2k5 or the Maddens. On the field it is excellent everything plays tight. On quirk with that strafe stuff but you can get out of it with the right trigger, but everything is spot on. Steep learning curve for kicking. Online this game gets a 5.0. offline, nope.

This game is one of the best football games i have played in many years. The controls are excellent and easy to pick up. The only problem is kicking can be very tricky and hard to master. There are many modes including season, create a player and team, online leagues and tournaments. The customizing of the uniforms is quite cool i spent quite a bit of time on my home and away uniforms as well as helmets and you get to pick from a bunch of cool stadiums. I choose the one with a shark and waterfalls. The grsphics are good but not mindblowing. This is the football game for fans like myself sick of the yearly roster update. With a good bunch of players to choose from and names that are recognizable you should have quite a fun experience. Welcome back to football 2k.
