This game was my most anticipated game of the year and it definatly lived up to the hype this game is absolutely amazing from the drums to the guitar and much much more. The games graphics look way better then guitar hero 3 at least there characters look like they are actually playing the song and singing then just moving around like retards. There are a lot of great song to choose from like Metallica,Nirvana Rush and very many more and not to mention a huge library of great downloadable songs. The drums yes can be a bit noisy but a slight drum mod can fix that problem. The drums and the guitar play very nicely and is a great game for having lots of your friend over. There is plenty to do in thgis game and will keep you busy for a very long time.I would %100 get Rock Band if you dont have it now.Go get it!

This is the sweetest party game ever. My friends totally dig it. The DLC blows Guitar Hero III out of the water. I didn't give it a higher score beacuse it's not wireless and the drums are pretty difficult to get the hang for my friends that don't get much practice time.
good...

A great game, but if you only want to ply guitar, you should keep playing guitar hero. It's too easy and repetetive. The best part is drumming because it is a challenge and great fun, but very loud. The vocals are good too.

I say this game is one of the best out there at the moment. Some songs I think shouldn't be on there, and some I think are amazing. I think this game is a step up from Guitar Hero, notice how in starpower mode your character actually does realistic stunts instead of throwing the guitar up in the air and the guitar is magically performing by itself? I give it a 5-5.
Well

Let me start out saying that rock band is a great game, theres no denying that but it could have been better if they took more time with it. Ok i just gonna set it up like this. Pros: drums are fun and challenging, same for singing, great song collection, great multiplayer, good visuals, and the create a character is a nice alternative to just picking a character like in gh, and the drums and mic work well. Cons: THE ROCKBAND GUITAR SUCKS!!!, the playing guitar isn't all that fun, they made playing guitar tricky and the difficulty of the songs waver(especially on the last set), some songs you have to sing area agonizing, and alone it gets boring. luckily i just reviewing the game and not the equipment it comes with cause the rockband guitar is one of the worst controllers i have ever used, and i find myself using the gh3 guitar and the orange fret button is messed up on it making it hard to play but atleast it can keep up with the damn song! And now they now to tell you when you can do hammer ons and pull off the frets are smaller which makes it really hard to tell which note you are supposed to hit unlike on gh when they just light up. But any way this game is really fun with friends and family but it does get boring after a while if you can only play by yourself. But that doesn't stop this game from claming its its spot in greatness.

There's this age old question we gamers have scratched our noggins for generations now.
"How do I get my *insert loved one here * to play video games?"
I've had moderate success with a great many things: DDR, Co-op first person shooters, Horror games, the Wii, Guitar Hero. The closest, of course, being Guitar Hero, but Harmonics just didn't get it right. That is of course until the series' spiritual successor comes along to save many a party and date with it's spectacular focus on CO-op play, and all around fun, to some great music!
Now I could talk about the amazing character customization system, the beautiful online play, the simply delicious track listing, or some of the coolest periperhals this side of video gaming galaxy (sorry Nintendo Zapper). But I'm going to make this easy: Food, water, basic cable, health insurance, so on, go without them as long as you can until you have enough for Rock Band. You won't be disappointed. Neither will all the friends you'll be making within 24 hours of purchasing the game.

Rockband is a ton of fun it allows mere mortals to experience performing in front of a live audience. The concept is fantastic the quality of the hardware and electronics needs work. The Negative My family and friends have put about 8 hours of "playtime" on the gear and here is the breakdown list to date. 1) Imitation Fender Strat - the keys stick and the "string activator" is intermittant. 2) The Kick pedal broke at the hinge and is duct taped. Additionally, for you drummers out there - you may experience some frustation because you'll immediately notice that a real drummer was not consulted on the setup of the kit. The snare and the hat are reversed. There is little to no rebound off the heads. The rebound issue is really pronouced on the kick pedal where you don't recieve the "feed back" normally felt off the pedal making it near impossible to get into a groove on the kick. The Positives For those of you that have friends and relatives whose concept of pitch leaves much to be desired; Rock Band provides instant feedback and scores the singer's ability to maintain pitch and phrasing as well as their ability to sing the lyrics. While I found this feature well executed and instructive, some folks found it to be less than humorous (Yes, we all laughed our butts off at the ego maniac whose Mama told him he was great at everything)! Its a great concept and a lot of fun. I'll let you know how we make out on returning the inferior electronics and hardware. Merry Christmas to All! DW
