When everyone found out that the COD franchise was coming out of it's dying WW II setting, I couldn't help but cry. It was about time Infinity Ward brought it's fast paced FPS experience to the Modern setting. I liked the fact that they made up a surreal plot, since if they would've brought in the issues of modern day Iraq, i Garuntee you the ywould've banned the game in some countries.(Like mercenaries in Korea back in 2004) The guns are amazing and ultra realistic. While they don't boast the intense recoil of the Rainbow games. You can't help but feel good when you shoot a gun in COD4. All in all the game was a mega hit and an even bigger success online. COD4 will probably go down as one of the best Modern day shooters of our time.

I've been playing Call of Duty ever since it started,and boy, they were the best WWII games out there. Then, you see one that comes out and it's modern warfare. You think that it's the end, but once you play it, you know you're going to spend hours online killing EVERYONE. For me, this is the best in the series because of the sweet online. Being able to level up online so you can destroy everyone else is what it's all about. It has a great storyline that'll keep you wanting more levels. I'd say my favourite mission is where you go with Sgt. McMillian (I think it's him) and you're a sniper and you sneak past nearly everyone, or kill them. I have absolutely no complaints about the game, it is AWESOME

Call of Duty 4 is the bomb! The Graphics are unreal, the story line was good, and of course the online play is awsome. The customizing of the weapons is a great feature. Any one that is into first person shooters... This is a must buy.

It's crazy how this game puts you right into the action and actually makes you feel was though you are actually in war. This one of the most intense games I have ever played. I strongly recommend this game to everyone. I am not a fan of war games, but this game is amazing.

All right...where to start? This beats all. At least twice as good as Halo with a unique multiplayer mode. What with a hidden shank, and great graphics,this is an all time , must have , favorite. Unlike Halo, which is overated, this game has new and refreshing ideas never seen before in it's predecesors. With all new guns and specialties you can't miss out on this game!

Game play was right on the ball, good clean graphics, single player was really fun, I beat the game on my friends and decided to buy it for myself thats how good I thought it was. Online play was great, many options to choose from, nice selection of weapons, objectives were fun as well, though I sometimes get annoyed at the kids making dumb noises in the mic. Downside of it was the crosshair, I wish I could adjust it, it seems to be a bit to huge, falling from small spots and breaking your legs, and getting stuck in small corners where alot of junk piles up, other than that this game rocks. I love the sniper rifle, the L3 option was a nice thing, I like when a explosion happens and it seems your character jumps in zoom, even when you run and you seem out of breath, realistic factor to me is amazing. I wish there was a co-op option for single player, but oh well maybe next time anyways, that is all I have to say this was a pretty amazing game and I rate it 4.75 later.

When you buy a game and get hooked on it for so long you forget to walk the dog, forget to do your homework and a whole load of things, you realise that games was Call of Duty 4, of which I name GAME OF THE YEAR, easily better than halo 3... Mass effect... And dare I say Galaxy? I am not being a fanboy saying this is better than mass effect, mass effect has no multiplayer, the multiplayer on CoD4 is the best I've played since battlefield 2 or Counter Strike. A+ Game

Oh mercy, where should I start? I could talk forever about the amazing graphics, the solid controls, or the amazing multiplayer. Well, I guess I'll start with my only problem: The single player is too short. Then again, I had so much fun from start to finish that I would have complained no matter how long or short it was. The story was not only easy to follow (cough, Halo 3, cough), but it had an EXCELLENT presentation. Giving the player a *Spoiler Alert* first-hand view of the president getting shot was an excellent idea that only immersed me further into the story. The guns all gave a solid sense of power, but I would expect nothing less from this series. As for the multiplayer, oh my goodness. The unlockables will keep me busy for a long, long, long time. Playing this game reminds me of the Battlefield 1942 and Soldier of Fortune battles we would have in college. With the HUGE amount of game types and weapons (not including the creat-a-class feature), what isn't to love? I'll admit that if you are new to FPS games you might struggle in the beginning against vets who have unlocked all of the fancy schmancy attachments and perks, but leveling up really does not take too much effort. A solid game that is an absolute MUST HAVE for anybody with the available system. Now if you will excuse me, I have a match to get back to...

this is the best shooter game i have ever played for any gaming platform. this beats Halo 3 by miles!

Awewsome game it really felt as if it was a movie, especially at the beggining on the cargo ship, and there's a level that goes back 15 years which had some of the most craziest stealth objectives ive ever seen, crazy grapics, insane details and sound effects, (although too bad it didnt have an arcade mode similar to socom combine assult, some extra levels would be nice)but who cares ill just play it over again! And what about that ending!?!?!
