This game shows Sony's potential. You've seen the screens, you know this game looks incredible, we can leave that at that. One thing this game has that other games don't have, is variety. Action, great story, puzzles, and everything in between. If you're not capping all the bad guys you're scaling mountains, and ancient ruins. If you're not climbing stuff looking for the right direction or ledge, than you're in a jet ski, or a SUV taking the action mobile. There's really not too much more to say. It has simple platform game play on a huge scale. There's actually a few parts that are straight up Crash Bandicoot. IE, there's a part where the camera angle changes to in front of you and you have to navigate through a smashed up bridge, at full speed. Why? Cause there's a huge boulder chasing you, sound familiar? I love this game.

One of the PS3s best

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content

Despite the awful name, Uncharted is truly one of the PS3's best games. It's like Gears of War meets Indiana Jones. The graphics are amazing, the storyline carries you through to the end, and the game is overall quite appealing. Every PS3 owner I've spoken with recommends Uncharted over any other game...and that's for a reason. A must-play!

A Visual Treat

Nathan Drake is a rough-around-the-edges, modern-day treasure hunter who sets off to contunue his great ancestor's, Sir Francis Drake, quest for the lost city of El Dorado. With the help of long time friend and mentor, Victor Sullivan, and the tag-along reporter, Elena Fisher, Drake raises Francis Drake's coffin from the bottom of the ocean to find that Drake faked his death, and left his diary as a clue for anyone clever enough to find it to use. Story Uncharted is undoubtedly one of the most well rounded games when it comes to plot. Though it may seem very re-hashed when you look at it from one perspective. Here is another Tomb Raider; On the contrary, the story evolves rather quickly as you progress through the game, with unexpected twists and turns that even the clever minded gamer couldn't see coming. Graphics Without a doubt, one of the finer showcases of the PlayStation 3's power. Foliage brushing through the win, and reacting to you running through them, vibrant and vivid colors makes even the tombs and ruins Nathan explores a colorful experience. Seeing Nathan take cover in many different ways gets you immersed in the action as though, nothing seems scripted. Facial expressions, motion captures, dialogue are all top-notch in this well developed art. Truly a visual treat for anyone owning a PS3 looking for that one game that shows it. Gameplay You won't be disappointed. All of the elements involved with raiding tombs has been vastly improved, and with several employees at Naughty Dog being EIDOS veterans, they know just what to do. Do you remember lining up all of your jumps in the Tomb Raiders of past lore? Don't think twice here, as any jump will do giving the more casual gamer a nice edge, as difficulty applies only to enemy A.I. and interactions. So long as you're on the right path and there is clearly a ledge for you to jump to, Nathan takes care of the fine-tuning department. The shooting mechanics aren't too bad considering this is not at all a shooting game to begin with. Cover system rivals that of Gears of War and originator Kill.switch. Overall the game provides a much needed cinematic experience, enthralling plot-line, and gameplay that will give even hardcore gamers a hard time, yet give leniency to those just trying to pick up the game and play. This is a must-have for any PS3 owners looking for a game to indulge in.

AMAZING GRAPHICS, GREAT GAMEPLAY

this game really drives u deep into the story and the graphics look so realistic is amazing, the reason is not perfect is because is less than 10 hrs long and the enemies look about the same with different color t-shirts, oh and they don't die so easily, other than that, this is a must buy

Drake's Unfortunate Graphics

Not as good as the advertisments make it look, also, the enemies looked terrible and totally unrealistic! I strongly advise you DON'T BUY IT!!!

Impressive still

Unchartered by far is one kick but game as far as graphics sound and game play go so I was really pleased the only gripe I had about the game is the repetitiveness you would think that a next generation gaming system would inspire gaming engineers to strive to break ground adding new elements and changing it up well well have to see.

Welcome to the JUNGLE, and you won't want to leave.

One of the best graphically designed games I have ever played, the colors are so vibrant, from the ocean with each small cresting wave, to the gun battles through caves and monumental ancient structures. It is fun collecting the treasures as a small point/bonus system. The duck and cover feature works better than Gears of War, with an easier run over obstacle control and crouching while spinning around to get to the next pillar. The targeting is hard, but I will not say a bad feature, seeing as in real life it is hard to put bullets on dimes from 100 feet, let alone 100 yards. I would be playing this game and just stop and position the !st person camera on the ocean/walls/ruins/waterfall/jungle for minutes at a time. Well when no enemies were trying to blow me up with grenade launchers, or perforate me with an uzi. Slight screen tearing, but with visuals that good you do not notice it much, is the only complaint about the title from me. Just waiting for the second installment now.

just play tomb raider

Uncharted gets hyped alot. Its good game but its not as great as the sony fanboys make it seem.yeah it looks good but not that great plus it suffers from alot of graphical hiccup you would expect from a next gen system especially with a game that isnt a graphical wonder anyway. It stutters during heavy action sequences and it suffer from alot of screen tearing.I though we left this kind of stuff behind last gen.Nope these problems still haunt the ps3.Its a short game about 10+ hrs long.No BR effect here. Its controls are ok but can get clunky at times and the aiming feels a little off.But since theres barely any thing esle worth playing on the ps3 I guess you will have no other choice but to buy this game.
