Jeanne d'Arc was, and is one of the best RPG's I've ever played. At first, I'd like you to take a look at the Gameplay. Jeanne D'Arc as the same play than Fire Emblem except for the battles, that are more rich than the F.E. series. You'll control characters, and you make them move all over the battlefield. You have a lot of liberty, even if you have to follow the route and the objectives that they give. I won't explain everything, but just to say, it's a very entertaining game. We'll see very entertaining graphics, and the cinematics in a manga makes the game more enjoyable. So for the game, I'll give it 4 stars.

Level 5 has always been tagged with being one of the few RPG makers who 'get it'. They've made more RPGs than Madonna's got wrinkles, but the quality and concepts are top notch. Now This game is an example of such. The game, however, is an SRPG, so unless you're open to games and new things, or are an SRPG fan, you way not see this title as your cup of tea. Jeanne D' Arc tells the historical tale of Joan of Arc with a twist. The game's genre has RPG in it, so expect to cast spells, equip items, armor, weapons, and mange a party. However, since this is an SRPG, expect to take some time planing out your moves, moving on a tiled plain, finding out information about enemies, and adhering to battle conditions in a turn-based manner. The art and graphics are cartoonish, with cel shaded characters, and anime cut scenes. The audio and voice acting is pretty good, with a bunch of characters sporting European accents. The game can consume about 30-40 hours of your time, and has a story that is filled with fantasy, plot twists, frogs, and politics. For a PSP title, you can't go wrong, but again the genre is not for everyone. Coming to this game with an open mind, and some patience can help with that though.
Another great SRPG

As any fan of tactical RPG's knows, the action is carried out on a grid overlapping the terrain and characters move square-by-square, taking advantage of geographical features to provide cover and elevation to improve defense and offense. As far as that goes, D'Arc is pretty cut-and-dried, but there's a few tweaks that really smooth out the gameplay experience.
In my opinion, what really makes this game a gem is the storyline. Despite the fantasy trappings, it isn't just a fairy tale with everyone living happily ever after. Yes, there's death involved here, and it's not always to who deserves it (I'm striving mightily to avoid spoilers here!) It gives the story a dark aspect, and adds a poignancy that impacts the emotion involved. And history buffs might be surprised at how closely the adventure echoes the life of the real Joan of Arc - demons and monsters non-withstanding, anyway!
The wrap-up? Minimal complaints, and lots to enjoy. This is a VERY solid title for the PSP, and an amazing adventure awaits the player.
great game!

This game is by far one of the best titles this year for the psp. If you are into grid based strategy games then this title is for you. Its unique story( even though its based on the historical life of Joan of Arc) of demons and magic armlets is supported by fantastic cut scenes and a great group of characters. The combat system is excellent and the battles are straight forward and not over complicated. Another great game from Level 5!
