You could at least try next time, EA.

I have to admit that I was disappointed with EA's effort, or lack of effort on the 360's version of NCAA 08. The graphics are some of the worst of any recent 360 game out there. And, were are all the 1AA teams. I know the ps2 version has them, so I don't see the reason for the lack of effort on the 360 version. EA once had top quality sports games, but now that they have cannibalized the competition they seem to completely lack in effort.

NCAA '08 is good, not as good as '06 but a definite step up

I picked up the game a couple of days ago to to easy my football longing between Saturdays and have been enjoying it. The game is a definite improvement over last years. The controls feel much more clean, the menues are easier to work though, and the overall feel of the game is better. The addition of Legend mode is great. I have been having a blast playing it as a QB. They fixed the stupid camera angle that was used in Madden's Superstar mode from last year as well. The mode gives you a really good feel of being a player. Practices tend to get repetitve and the evening events are random but the mode really seems to work. The game definitely has a few major issues though. First of all is the psychic DB's of the computer. Expect to throw a lot of picks in every game. Another problem is the inept linemen. Your line will go from giving you 10 second to throw every ball in one drive to giving you no time the next drive. There are also issues with tackling. The game play could use some balancing but the sliders allow you to adjust it to your liking. Over all the game is a step in the right direction and a lot of fun to play. If they continue with solid improvements I'll buy next season as well.

AWESOME

Wow what a game! The graphics are HD to the MAX! I love it. It gives you the feeling of being an All american quarterback. the A.I. suffers a little but the online play is definently the best. I love it and I cant wait for Football season to start in real life.

GOOD

This is a one of a kind game!! It is good but not as good as I and many probably thought! The Graphics are good but the fact that it doesn't have the names of the Players isn't what I want in a game. They shouldn't make it so that you have to buy a seperate memory of the rosters. The game is good but madden 08 is going to be a better hit in the football aspect!

Just don't know

I really love college pigskin its the best, a kids game if you will. Anyway I was a little disappointed with this version or generation which ever works. The one thing I hate most in games is slow down. I hiked the ball and heard all the grunts from the O-line, but my QB didn't move, then about 3 seconds later he is passing the ball out of no where. I just can't see why with all ponies under the hood, the need for slowdown. NCAA was said to be running at 60 fps but there are clear issues with that. So like every other NCAA game I am forced to play the games i love with the thing I hate the most. But I will always love football, so BUY IT. Make do just like in the past. Lets be clear next years game better be near perfect or I will due nothing, but right a mediocre review.

Great Game. Definite Upgrade Over Previous Years

Last year about this time I was highly anticipating the release of Ncaa 07 Football only to be disapointed by a sub-par football game that was lacking depth. Along with the laggy gameplay and mediocre graphics this game didnt really go well with alot of people. With all that said, yet again this year I had found myself paitiently for the release of Ncaa 08 Football with hopes that it will fare better than its previous make. The first thing that I immediatly loved when I played my first game (Boise State Vs Oklahoma) was the capability to run the option. This is a cool little play thats fun to use and can potentially turn into a large gain or it can go horribly wrong and you get taken down in the backfield, its still worth the risk. As soon as you play the first snap you can see and feel the improvement in gameplay with smoother juke moves, better player animations, and cleaner graphics. The depth in this game has also ante'd up so to speak. Campus legend makes a return but with a little bit of a twist. This time around you can create a player of any position and start him out from his high school playoffs and take your high school from YOUR state and YOUR city all the way to state championship and impress college scouts along the way to earn a scholorship. This is an awesome feature considering my school actually lost to Moon Valley In my high school state game a few years back so its time to get payback. After you get a scholarship you have to work your way up the depth chart to a starting position by going to practices while keeping your "social" life on campus going as well. Dynasty This season remains the same in every aspect other than recruiting which has been completely overhauled. This time around you have to do alot more in order to convince that #1 prospect to commit to your school by giving you 10 hours a week to call your recruits and talk to them about what qualities they like about your school the art of negotiation if very important here but after you do it for 5 seasons it gets very tiring and repetitive. Some of the downsides to this game are that there are just too many turnovers whatever calibur player you are because I am very good at this game but the Cpu is heavily biased. Another thing I Would like to see is Division 1 and 2 teams getting in the mix because I would love to bring up an underdogg. Considering last years edition this is a very good game that should provide alot of good games between friends and rivals.

NCAA 08

Way better than last year. This time around, EA hit the spot. The coolest thing is that you can play in high school and can even have your school colors too. Other highlights are some fun minigames too. The only reason for not a 4.5 is that they left out create-a-school for some reason. Other than that it is great football game.

Basically ironed out 07

The 360's 60fps really smoothed this game out. There are some added animations. Nice and plays a solid game of football. Still, the players walk around like robots until that "new animation" is qued in. So it is basically the same gameplay you have come to expect with a nice sharp clear image. Superstar mode is sweet where you can take your character from this game and use it Madden, but again, it isn't nothing new. Online, forget about it. It seems tiburon wants nothing to do with League play. For me that is a big downer. It is time for Tiburon to figure them out and copy something 2ksports has been doing flawlessly for years in all their sports titles. Decent, but still more of the same. Not worth the 60 bucks to me.
