I really liked this game. I could really just spend hours throwing stuff all around, and dangling Storm Troopers off the edge of ledges and walkways. I really had a good time with this game! It is defiantly worth a rental!

Unleashed?

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Lousy camera/viewpoint
Engaging story
Innovative concepts

Well I finally bought the game for one well I needed a new game (well thats what I told my wife) and two I like star wars. The game has great graphics and story so far is pretty cool. The force powers are very nicely done, throwing around people is pretty fun. Sometimes the game feels really clean and fun and others if feels very frustrating but it is still a great game if you love the star wars universe. My really only gripe so far is the cut scenes feel a little rushed and sometimes it does not flow good enough from story to game.

In the end: I'm finding it's an enjoyable game and will recommend it to people who enjoy the genre.

A Great Addition To The Star Wars Saga

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Repetitive gameplay
Engaging story
Innovative concepts
Just plain fun

I absolutley loved playing this game. The game features an extremely nice storyline which truly adds to the Star Wars saga as a whole. The game features some truly nice visuals and audio throughout the game. Lucas Arts did accomplish some truly amazing things that will more inlikely help revolutionize gaming as we know it with some of there impressive engines they used in the game. Unfortunatly though, the euphoria engine didn't react how it was hyped to work, almost as if it still needs some work to be done on it.

The gameplay is addictive yet repettive at the same time. Its primarily a hack and slash with some glitter thrown on top. However, this bit of glitter is truly fun to use in the game. You'll find yourself striving towards making the ultimate sith warrior that can easily take out anything in sight. Through unlocking combos, talents, and other force powers by going through the game and collecting holocrons and stiking down one enemy after the other. In the end, you'll love the visuals, concepts and a truly great condition to the Star Wars saga, but you probably won't be all that in to the repettive gameplay and dull boss fights.

My advice would simply be to rent the game before you buy it.

Finally a black lightsaber

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content
Awesome audio Unresponsive controls
Engaging story Lousy camera/viewpoint

I love the star wars franchise and I think that this other than KOTOR 1,2 and the lego series this is the stars wars game up to date. Now there's alot of critism about this game but i thinl it the best star wars game. The force is truley unleashed in every way you can destroy anything and everything use force lighting, the works plus a black saber. Now at times the controls do respond and are a very glithes but i still love the game oh yeah the boss fights are really cheap but still good go pick it up. That's it That's all.

A great game that could have been greater.

When i got this game i was hoping for the worst after reading the review here on gamepro, but soon those doubts went away. The first level wasn't all that special but using Darth Vader and force choking someone makes you feel all tingly inside. After this brief episode with maxed out powers, you are thrust onto the shoes of StarKiller the game's protagonist.

At first the game (though fun) is really irritating cause you have a few force powers and there are areas of the game that are quite challenging, but that's not a bad thing, the thing is that the camera is uncomfortable, sometimes blocking your view, swinging wildly, till you get comfortable with the camera controls, plus locking on to enemies isn't that precise . But as you go along getting more and more powerful, the game continues getting harder and more amazingly fun, the challenge factor sometimes gets annoyingly high but i forgave the game cause it DOES give you the power to deal with it, even if you have to first destroy some enemies shields, by throwing your blade at your enemy to disarm his shield. I never complained.

The graphics and physics are gorgeous, it's astounding to marvel at your enemies being blown away by a charged up force push and noticing your surroundings being destroyed (some are destroyable, some not) steel and steel doors buckling and bending, glass being shattered, stuff flying around and blowing up, it's marvelous, the only bad thing about this is that i wanted even MORE destroyable surroundings but i'm getting slightly greedy. The euphoria engine is put to great use, the rag doll physics are amazing. The locales you visit look great and and make you notice the power you are wielding ( like in Felucia when you use force push or repulse you notice the mushrooms moving around). The sound is also great, you'll hear steel groaning, wood splintering, lightsabers humming, star wars music playing, it's great.

The story is awesome, with plenty of ''WTF just happened here?!'' moments, but the protagonist Starkiller isn't fleshed out enough as a character, at first he's kind of quiet and focused, when he should be a crazy sith (granted not every single sith is the same so it isn't that bad, i just expected him to be more... evil) then he starts showing more emotion after the half point of the game, but while the story is awesome, the same story is one of the disappointing parts of the game, let's just say that the endings disappoint, while cool, you'll be saying '' oh right'' when you remember the first star wars trilogy.

Summary

Controls: 4.0, suffers because of the lock one problems and annoying camera

Graphics: 4.75, while it has great animation, graphics and physics, it could be a slightly better.

Sound:4.5, it has great sound but none of it is too amazing.

Fun factor: 4.75, while an amazing game, it doesn't offer enough content( like some sort of multiplayer dueling mode( like on the wii), but the game has more hits than misses.

Bottom Line: While the game play is fun ( even MUCH more after you replay it with maxed out powers) the boss fights could be much better, even if some of them are intense Jedi vs Jedi battle. The character could have been fleshed out more, the controls SUCK, but are otherwise manageable in the long run, i still see myself playing this game for weeks. The puzzles aren't special, just using a force power on an highlighted object. And there is a part of the game where you have to bring down a Star Destroyer, but you have to move it so it points to you and THEN bring it down. Why? Not sure, but it's still an amazing show of power. Also along the game i was yearning to fight against more Jedi opponents (REAL Jedi opponents), though because of the story you can't.

So this is it, a great game that could have been greater, this is a MUST for Star Wars fans, and it might warrant a purchase if you like tons of intense, challenging action, but be wary of the controls. May the Force be with you!

Star Wars The Force Undeveloped

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content
Engaging story Doesn't live up to expectations
Innovative concepts Braindead computer AI
  Lousy camera/viewpoint

I have been waiting 2 years for this game, and all I get is an OK game. It looks great, and the story is like another movie, but game play leaves little to love. It starts out with almost no powers, which does create the feel of a new apprentice, but there is only 3 moves- force grip, force push, and the square button. No lightning, no combos, no awesome visual combos, it just is a button masher. After 3 levels it finally gets better, but it still leaves you feeling as if he's getting better only because you are getting better. The camera sucks, and when you use force grip, the camera is too zoomed in, and its hard to throw the thing, so it only really used to throw things when you have too, or just getting tired of the square button. Euphoria doesn't do much, and the stormtroopers don't usually do anything except kick when you hold them. Trees and stuff split, which is cool, but what the hell does that really do for a game. If they made a second one, and fixed these problems, it would get a five. Its still good, and I recommend it, but its just not finished, like it is the demo, just less awesome and lengthened for 5 hours.
