The only con that I have, is that I had to learn a new cloning technique. Man! I was unprepared for the visually different look of the Isles! Talk about mind-blowing differences between these places and the rest of the lands of the morrowind! I had heard that it was worth it, but had to wait for retail, before I could purchase it. I'm glad that I waited.

Shivering Isles is one of those rare games that combines some new with some old. The experiences in it are some of the most fulfilling(and ,sometimes, funny!) The moment you see the Isles for what they truly are, you are blown away by how unique the landscape is. The creatures are also very unique, with only a couple exceptions. My only problem with this game is the price on the Xbox Live Marketplace. 2400 points for this amazing expansion, but worth it when you consider how much play time it adds to the already stunning experience of Oblivion.

Overall this was a great expansion to probably the best game ever. The story and extra world are interesting, but Sheogorath, the King of the Isles is hilarious. He says the craziest most random all of the time. Definitly get this one if you have Oblivion.

Not a bad expansion pack. It keeps the story going and that is all that matters. This was a fun game but it would have been better if it were released sooner.

Welcome to Shivering Isles. This demented world out in the middle of nowhere. All of sudden 48 hours after you have downloaded this expansion (gametime). You will see a journal entry that a mysterious door has opened. Well by curiousity you were probably just like me and wanted to go see it. Anyway when you arrive on the scene there is a guard warning you not to go into the portal. For one he says everyone that has went into the portal has come out mad.Insane if you will. If you sit and watch a Dark Elf will appear, and will say that he will kill anyone that makes him go back into that portal. He pulls out a knife and tries to kill the guard. Of course the guard kills him easily. Well you enter and there is a man sittng at a desk, I will stop telling the story here. Now to gameplay, there is the main story, plus the misc. quest. There is still alot of new content like all of the new areas to explore, new weapons and armor, and monsters. The monsters are strange looking yet some are dangerous and like certain areas. The recommended lvl to me would be 20-23, so the game will stay challenge and exciting. Shivering Isles contains 45 hours of gameplay. (Just what we wanted since we have spent so many hours doing nothing while waiting on Shivering Isles). The graphics have improved slightly, and the music doesn't seem much different. In a nutshell this should be for roleplayers who want constant combat and excitement (like me), and want that full open-ended choice of solution experience. This game is worth 2,400 microsoft points.
