This game is amazing fun. You can play it for hours without it losing its overall sense of fun. Unfortunately, 3 friends are almostrequired to play it. It's just not as entertaining playing against CPUs, and the single player mode that you have to play in order to unlock other maps etc. is pretty boring because you hardly ever face off with the CPU in a minigame. Other than that, this game is wonderful. The best Mario Party since #1.

this franchise just wont die on the other hand it's a great party game but this needs to be ended and something new needs to be startedsimilar to the dbz franchise

Mario Party 8, What can I say about the eighth installment of the board game franchise? Well first of all I bought it, so I have been desperately searching for validation of a wise purchase. Having not played Mario Party since the original and the sequel, I was hoping to recapture some of those nostalgic positive impressions etched in my mind. Unfortunately, none were to be found. MP8 makes some innvative use of the wii-mote, however for the most part the miny games are repetitive and unimaginative. I found myself crying out in disgust everytime a mini game popped up that had me steering some sort of vehicle with the wii-mote (a phenomenon that occured much to often). Further the game is very unbalanced in the sense that skillful play does not guarantee a win. Yes this is nice for beginners (a simple handicap option would be more appropriate), but it leaves me with little desire to invest time building skill when I know it will have no impact on the end result. This game is mediocre at best and can only really be enjoyed with a few friends and many beers. If you plan on purchasing it, allow yourself enough time to pick up a 2-4 or you may find yourself with a mild case of depression. Cheers.

I love Mario!! And this game dosent fail to disappoint. Mario and the game rock and I cant wait for more to come out. It is so awesome!!!

This game would be ten times sweeter if the screen fitted a 16:9 windscreen and most importantly, the graphics were BETTER! other then that, it is still really fun to play. I love donkey kong's level.

I thought this game was excillent. It used the wiimote in a very realistic way. The mario parties have always been fun, but there is only so much you can get out of the use of a normal control. The wii provided a much more party atmosphere! I also liked how the maps differed. Overall, this was a great game and I would recommend it to anyone who loves the wii.

this is a probably the best of these games in the entire mario party series, but the one thing i've always wanted in a mario party game is to play as toadsbert.
