Having never played a Mario Party game before, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was alright, but nothing I would die for. The board games are fun and challenging, but when you spend an hour playing on a board just to tie and start all over, it burst my bubble. The mini-games are fun too, but when there are LOADS of 2 player minis, but only 3 one player minis, it gets repetitive. The graphics are terrible. Super Mario Sunshine had way better graphics, and that was a Gamecube games!

Ok when i first heard that this games was coming out on the wii i gotta admit i was kind exited cause i thought that this might breathe new life into the series but it just breathed enough into it to keep it living a little while longer. Cause ya see ever since Mario party 4 came out the games just keep getting worse and worse and they really hit rock bottom with 7, but this brought it up a little just enough if to see the light once more. But the thing that Nintendo keeps forgetting about MP is that its a party game, and that no one wants to play this game on single player! which brings me to my biggest compliant with this game, the star battle mode, is very very hard. Take this for instance, i start out and wario is first so he hits a 5m gets 3 coins then its my turn i hit a 3 and lose 3 coins, but then wario lands on a dk space and goes to the star but dosent have enough coins, then it my turn i hit a 4 and get 3 coins but the wario uses a thrice candy hits a 7,6,9 goes and the hole top of the map get like 20 coins then he gets star then he lands on a vs pad, so we play a mini game, i win, but i don't get jack shit so it basically gave him a chance to get coins from me but i dont get jack shit from him! but in short the game will help them in any way possible, whether its hitting 10s getting really good candy, or make you get nothing but low numbers, it will do everything in its power to let the COM win!But the embarrassing thing is that id really rather be playing mario party 1-3 then any of the rest cause they were good and ever since 4 they've sucked really bad. But this series is dying and i wish i could be the one to pull the plug on it.

This is excellent party game for your friends and family. But I wish they added the ability to do something between turns and have online gameplay.

ok mario party has always been good but + wii remotes makes it better. honestly this isint the kind of game that you can just wake up on saturday and start playing ... just look at the title mario PARTY. this is the kind of game that you would need a bunch of people too have fun. so if your an only child dont buy the game ... unless you have alot of spare money and want to have a blast with your friends. now for the mini games, i cant tell you that the games are great!!! ... there just acceptable they couldve improved the mini games and the story is pretty stupid ... but thats what makes it a mario party game haha. soo if you have brothers or sisters or have a bunch of friends try out this game ... unfortunatly i dont have a brother i have no idea why i bought the game but one day my friends came over and we laughed soo much our faces and lungs hurt soo i can tell you that if you buy the game youll experince what i experienced at least once
Great fun

It all depends if you have friends. just playing it by yourself is okay, but it is a party and you need to have at least one friend play with you. the game takes full advantage of the wii's motion sensor that some of the games are actually make the game fun. there are over fifty games and most of them are fun. but there are some boring ones and some hard ones. But like I said at first you need more friends to have more fun
Great but short

The game provides great gameplay but not enough minigames and boards. Some gameplay is too hard, and some too easey. But still its a great game!

Ah, Mario Party games.....mmmmmmm. Brings back fond memories. To start, this game is very flexible to say the least. What I mean by that is the different boards that you can use are very different. One would require getting a star by simply getting to the end or getting a star could shift around but getting in the wrong room would get you a Shadow Star (bad, to those who don't know). The game focuses on a carnival-themed setting and is tons of fun with people to play with. The Wii Remote has made things that much more interesting, as the mini-games are anything but dull and boring. To not receive a perfect 5, I will explain why. While the game was certainly well done, the game just seems to be a tad unfair at times. Not to complain, but you wonder if building skills in the game does anything at all. The game is still a must-have for the Nintendo Wii, so grab it when you can. I doubt you'll be disappointed or your money back guaranteed (Not from me of course).
