Super Paper Mario

I think this game is a really good turn of events for the wii. I never thought turning from 2d to 3d was that much fun. The part that i really enjoyed was collecting all the pixls. i think this game is a very good step to the other mario games( super mario galaxy, Super smash bros brawl)

How Can Paper Be So Much Fun?

The title says it all. Unbelieveable. Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Wii is unbelieveably entertaining. The game focuses around (of course) Mario, who is in a town known as Flipside and must retrieve the 7 Pure Hearts before the central antagonist Count Bleck can get them. On the way, you team up with Bowser, Luigi, and Princess Peach to help you. Each have their own unique ability. Mario can flip dimensions, Bowser can blow fire, Peach can glide, and Luigi can jump very high. Along the way, you also have several floating items near you called Pixels. Pixels all serve different purposes. One can be used to turn Mario into an extremely thin piece of paper, one can be used to help him float across needles, and so on. Count Bleck has his number of cohorts as well. Those include O'Chunks, Mimi, and Dimentio. If you love Mario games, and you own a Wii, Super Paper Mario is a must have.

Not to shab

This game was o.k. It started off well enough (however a little to much dialogue for my taste), but quickly deteriorated into nothing more then a so-so game. I really enjoyed the original 2 paper mario's, yes they were ridiculously easy, but still they left me with a warm and satisfied feeling at the end. It seems with this installment they attempted to increase the difficulty level... However they took it in the wrong direction, I don't want to play a game where regardless of how good I get at it, im still going to take hits. You should be able to skillfully master a mario platforming-esque game. unfortunately in this game you can't really expect to do that. Anyhoo The story also started to pitter out around the 6th chapter, and i really got the impression that the developer rushed through it. Not a bad game, but not a good one either.

2D- 3D bundle of joy.

My only complaint is that the talking parts sometimes get a little boring and u want it to go faster, but other than that, this game is just what i wanted. I am a huge fan of the original nes games, and this game gave me a perfect taste of them, plus the paper Marios.

Simple Wii goodness!

Once you get passed the insanely long opening sequence, this game is really fun. There is surprisingly little use of the Wii's motion sensing capabilities in this game, but I think that was actually a good thing; over use of the motion sensing would have made the game too gimmicky. I like the references to the original Super Mario, like when you get the star and your character morphs into a giant version of their NES likeness. The ability to change from 2d to 3d was a good idea, although it is a little difficult to control your character in the 3d world. All in all, if you can make it through the sometimes boring cut scenes this game can give you a respectably classic experience.

Paper Mario fails to impress

This game is not a bad game, but I definetly expected more from it. Graphically it is just what you would expect with nothing to wow you, but they are fitting nonetheless. The old school controls are responsive and the wii pointer is fun but offers little innovation. For an RPG-lite, the story is really not that interesting and is definetly not the reason you keep playing through. I expect more from a mario game, but I just feel like I am getting more of the same. Some will absolutely love this game but it is nothing short of a rental becuase when you finish the game (quickly) it does not require a replay.

Super Paper Mario Review

For those of us who enjoyed the revisit to the "old days" of 2D mario on the DS comes this new installment of the mario adventures. This game reminded me of the old games, but I was pleased with the new ways to get to the end of the levels (fliping, fire breathing etc.) to add to the experience. But it does lag in some parts of the story and switching characters can be a pain sometimes, so that's why Im not giving it a higher score. But it's still a game I very much enjoyed and recomend for your Wii

Platforming and RPG mix quite well

When I first heard about this game,I thought Nintendo and Intellegent Systems would mess up big time, but I was wrong. This game was loads of fun for me.The game is about some villan named Count Bleck that wants to destroy all worlds. Whoa! The game's constant humor will keep you laughing all the time .This game also puts a nice spin on Super Mario Bros, there are loads of fun Power Ups. A personal favorite is the Mega Star, which turns you into a HUGE 8-bit Mario and you crash through just about anything. The 3-D flipping is nice, but the enviremonts are bland. It's also fun to discover secret passages. With a storyline that keeps you on your toes and plenty of funny and emotional parts, you'll laugh, cry, and thank yourself for buying this game. Pros: Funny and Fun Cons:3-D enviremonts are bland
