Even on paper, Mario gets the job done.

Not only Mario, but Peach, Luigi, and even Bowser help Mario on his quest to stop Count Bleck. Count Bleck kidknaps them all (except Mario, of course) and brainwashes Bowser's Koopa and Goomba army. The Count then employs hypnotic powers and forces the marriage of Princess Peach to Bowser in order to unleash a destructive power known as the Chaos Heart. You come across a pixl friend (one of many, I think there's like 9) named Tippi and a wizard named Merlon. Tippi will aid you in finding hidden doors that only she can uncover (you point at the screen with the WiiMote.) Other than that the whole game you hold the controller on its side and works wonderful. The controls are spot on and easy to catch on to. Switching between pixls and characters is a snap. You, of course, have many power up items that you can use, the always famous fire flower, Ice flower, poison mushroom, lightning bolt, and many more. All the other pixls you meet up with later in the game all do different attacks or assistants. One of my personal favorites lets you swing a hammer and one of my other personal favorites turns into a bomb. I think there's like 9 pixls total but I can't remember. With great controls, a new story, some really cool characters, and some breathtaking visuals (especially when you flip into a different dimension) Super Paper Mario is not only one of the greatest Wii titles but one of the top 10 Mario games...Ever.

Who Knew Paper Could Be So Cool

Super Paper Mario is so fun, so addictive, so cute... I love this game. It's got all of the elements that make the original Mario games classics. Love, love, love.

The Best Mario Title Since Mario World

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals
Loads of content
Addictive gameplay
Tight controls
Just plain fun

Put your brain to work in the paper version of Mario. With a great visual slick graphics, and tons of content this Mario title blew me away. I loved that you had to switch between characters, pixels, and 2-D to 3-D to solve puzzles adding a new dimension to what I thought a Mario game could be.
Though the pixels could get annoying after awhile and some puzzles were more repetitious than challenging, Super Paper Mario is still a fantastic title that all Wii owners owe it to themselves to check out.

paper mario

paper mario for wii really brings out innovation in the series. Freak'in flipp'in from 2-d to 3-d is so awesome. first i rented it and played until i could get as far as i could, [7 world to be exact and counting only having for 6 days brothah> but a couple months after that i decided to buy it. playing through it going to different parts of the mario universe [still no were close to as awesome as mario galaxy...woooooo> and to tell you my favorite area is the first level because it really brings out the kick ass mario levels man. I could go on forever about this game but playing as bowser for the first time since mario RPG legend of the seven stars which is one of my favorite marios ever is so awesome. paper mario deserves an award for most unique innovation in a mario game right next to galaxy!!

the best paper mario yet

when i say super paper mario was good, i mean great. you can use bowser marios enemy, princess peach, and luigi. Plus they all have different effects. You got a great story mode with a great story line. The game consists of 8 bosses. 4 main villains, and some pretty fun boards. You also get up to 10 pixls that have their own unique effects. Then instead of just playing the regular 2-d or just playing 3-d, you can play in both 2-d and 3-d mode. Well with mario at least. With Bowser you can blow fire. With peach you can glide and block attacks. And finally with luigi you can jump super high. The story starts out with Bowser trying to get peach to marry him, but a big vortex comes in when mario and liuigi try to stop the wedding putting them all in different places. The reason that happens is because count bleck does this so no one is in the way for him to destroy all worlds. So it first starts out with you using mario for the first boss then you unlock Princess Peach, And then you find Bowser in a castle he found. He tries to get rid of Mario for some aparent reason, but mario stops him and Bowser was pesuaded by princess Peach what will happen if he doesnt help . So he does join the team. They need for heros according to the prophecy, wich you know is Mario, Luigi, Princees, Peach, and then Bowser. Well there objective is to stop the void (vortex i was talking about) from destroying the worlds. So they collect pure hearts. You pick up Pixls along along the way with their own effects. You unlock Luigi at the end but first he was brainwashed by count Bleck. All in all the game was good except for the short time in 3-d mode and sometimes its hard to figure things out.

Skip, Rent, or Buy?: Super Paper Mario

Skip, Rent, or Buy? Ah, the continuation of Paper Mario. Alas, its here... (should of reviewed just a 'lil earlier) Anyways, we all know Paper Mario. RPG in Mario style, but this game takes a twist. Prolouge: In the beginning, you are in the mushroom kingdom with your brother Luigi. As you meet up with Bowser, You see a mysterious villain, Count Bleck. You get transported into a mysterious village called "Flipside". Somehow, Merlon appears there (that old guy really likes to follow you, huh). In the game there are two books, The light Prognosticus and the dark Prognosticus. The Dark one Count Bleck owns while the light one Merlon owns. The dark one says that the owner will rule the world and Bowser and Princess Peach will be married. The light one says a hero with a red hat, blue overalls, and a nice 'stache will defeat the owner of the dark Prognosticus and save the world. Want to find out what happens, play the game to find out more Gameplay Elements: Unlike other Paper Mario's, This one is not an RPG. It is a side-scrolling game where instead of stars, you look for Pure Hearts. As you get points from wiping out enemies, a certain amount will level you up, going by a pattern of Health, attack, Health, attack etc. Also, like everyone knows, you van flip into 3D. Lets say a huge pipe or wall was in your way... simply switch into 3D and its easy... you can also find hidden items and coins in 3D too as well as things for puzzles. As well as other PM games, you have a partner to aid you or help you basically in battle. Some can be better while others can go to hell. Also, like Paper Mario: TTYD, you can play as Princess Peach, Bowser, and one other character you'll need to find out yourself (I aint tellin, go play the game!). The thing about this is, you can switch during the game, each having a unique ability such as Mario flipping into 3D and bowser breathing fire. Graphics and soundtrack: The graphics people say "suck". But its supposed to look like that. In fact they are very HI-TECHNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICAL (Funny part of game...) If you look at SSB (The first one) and paper mario... they were made at the same time... so the must look alike if Paper mario was in SSB... Now look at the Graphics... huge improvement... So in fact, they are amazing graphics, but they don't use the style every other game uses. The soundtrack is easy to say: its a "Mario soundtrack"... pretty damned good. Overall Grades: Gameplay: 4.5/5: Stunning... absolutely great, a little con is the easy gameplay... it isn't short but the enemies don't increase in buffness. Elements: 4/5: Unique and like the same layout of other mario games, but without the RPG style. You will discover some things that you dont like here and there (not being able to stay in 3D forever unless you beat Pit Of 100 Trails) Graphics and Soundtrack: 5/5: Amazing and sweet to the eye. Skip, Rent, or buy?: Buy: if you have pre-ordered SSBB yet, and you have $50 laying around, go and buy this and not galaxy (Galaxy is Super Mario 64 in space and with better graphics and new enemies...) ~M

Hate it, and you're officially retarded.

Alas, the rather thin hero hits the Wii. Super Paper Mario is, inarguably, one of the best-and funniest-video games on the Wii today. Although not comparable to the to-be Galaxy, this game will make you jump, shake, sob, and of course, laugh your friggin' pants wet. Sure, it won't please Silent Hill and Halo fans, but anyone with a sense of humor will want a copy, not to mention your little bro might like it, too.

It's goooooooood

Although i sorta miss the turn based combat this is a awesome game. The combat is awesome plus the 4 characters you get to play as with all of their custom abilties. The only problem i have is that i wanted it to be a little longer. 4.5

alright

this was the first paper mario game i have ever played and was truly dissapointed. The game seems cool at first but then all the text in the game ruin it. it starts becoming a boring game. there really isn't anything special to this game. If you want a mario game for the wii this is not it. your best option would be to download them off the VC or wait for super mario galaxy.
