Kind of surprising to have a M game on the wii.Wiimote/Nunchuck is definitely not preferred, go with the classic. Good to see adventure mode on it, Deception's was a little better but this one is still good. Graphics, well... they are wii graphics what else can you say. Really cool to have all the characters on it, it gives you a lot of variety.

Thank god you can use multiple controls. The Wii-mote nunchuk combo sucks. There are just certain games that shouldn't use the Wii-mote and nunchuk and a fighting game (like MK) is one of them. If you don't want to get frustrated just plug in a good old GC controller or even the classic controller. You'll thank yourself for not even bothering with the remote and nunchuk. All in all..its Mortal kombat and that alone is awesome (except deadly alliance, what a let down). The new fatality system actually works really well I was suprised how good it worked. Lots to unlock and the single player is pretty damn fun. Just remember...you've been warned about the Wii-mote and nunchuk.

This is mostly the same game for the PS2 but it has tacked on controls. This game wasn't that great on PS2 anyway, the fatalities were really lame and the fighting system kinda sucked. Having all of these characters is pretty damn cool though I must say.
The latest mortal kombat has ups and downs

Mortal kombat is the series that has nearly revolutionized fighting games since it's debut in the early 90's. After a few dissapointing games, the franchise was brought back to life with Mk:Deadly Alliance. After another sequel and a successful action game things have been going good for the bloodiest fighting game of all time. Armageddon for the wii is everything that was great about the other console versions except one thing that brings it down alot. The wii controls. Both I and my brother(avid kombat fans) finally got our hands on the wii armageddon. After trying a few matches with the wiimote we were both disgustead and switched to our classic controllers(Which I've used ever since). The motion special moves are very unresponsive. Sometimes the moves would work, sometimes not. The fighting system has been mapped to the d-pad which is equally moronic and very difficult to use. Fortunately you can use the gamecube controller or the classic controller instead. While using the classic controller compared to the ps2(after kicking ass with it at a friends), I could actually pull off moves more fluently and easilly with the classic controller. Despite these controller issues this is a huge game. The sheer scope of things to unlock is gigantic. The krypt returns with all the silly unlockables you know and love but, feels somewhat washed out this time, as if they ran out of stuff to cram into it. The create a fighter mode is expansive and very well made. Obviously midway intended for you to make certain characters(terminator, sephiroth, cloud, goku, lara croft)are all easy to create. The konquest mode has taken a shaolin monks sort of turn and is very fun. The training matches in the obelisks are the only quips I had with konquest. Near the end of the adventure the training missions are extremly difficult and frustrating. The barely there story is explained deeply with voice acting much much better than in Deception. Strangely midway chose not to include bios and instead put them on the website(another small problem I had). The graphics are decent and the girl models are a little lest ugly. Blood effects are still ridiculously copious and are more silly than gory or offensive. I was dissapointed in the kreate a fatality feature, not that it was bad. It was cool to completely tear apart the opponent but, I really missed the play-like fatalities in the past games. Despite these few(and big problem), any wii owner and kombat fan should by this game.
Incredibly awesome game!!!

Well, the second you're gonna read this, you're gonna be thinking:"What? A person thinks that a fighting game on the Wii,is good?!?!". Well,no:it's genious. Like Sonic and the Secret Rings, the controls are quite awkward, but after a day, you'll become a master at the controls.I'll talk about the controls since I am mentioning them. Okay, the motion sensing controls only involve the special moves and the kreate-a-fatality system.Good, right? Yes. So the 4 way attacks are performed on the D-Pad. Weird, but it's good enough. Okay,so the game has a "motion list". Like, certain attacks will respond to an Up-Down motion,or another will respond to a lower-half-circle-away motion. So,in special moves,it will only involve half circles, left right/right left, and up down/down up motions. But hold up: fatalities have even more motions. With the special moves have the remote only, but in fatalities, there's even more!! And the addition of Nunchuck, and even both! But they're so easy. Now onto the goodies. There's a character in all 3 versions(Wii,PS2,and XBOX) called Chameleon.Well,in the Wii version, there's another character in the Wii version called Khameleon. Yes,a character only in the Wii version with a pun of someone else's name. But in my opinion,Kahmeleon is a much better fighter than Chameleon. Okay, another goodie is the addition to an endurance mode, also known as survival mode. Now this isn't much of the survival mode you know: after 13 matches(around there),You'll fight the boss of the game,Blaze;a secret character from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. After you kill him, that's it! You win! So basicly,Endurance is a little harder version of Arcade, but endurance can get you alot of koins too. And finally, there's 3 more menu backrounds in the game. Nothing much, but It's pretty cool. they added backrounds with Cyrax and Sektor,Raiden and Shinnok, and Shao Kahn and Sindel. Now,is it worth it? Will I actually want to play it? Is it good as much as Super Paper Mario or the other big guys on the Wii? The answer is obvious:Yes. So buy it!

Mortal Kombat Armageddon for the Nintendo Wii, is one of the best fighters out so far for the console, with improved graphics and a new way of playing. Mortal Kombat Armageddon on the Wii takes full advantage of the nunchuck and remote, performing special moves and fatalities is now easier thanks to the motion sensing of both the nunchuck and wii remote. In addition to kombat, the wii remote also can be used as a steering wheel in motor kombat. Not to mention an improved Konquest mode and a Wii exclusive character Khameleon. The Wii version of Armageddon is great, even if it does not have the online play. Mortal Kombat Fans, be prepared for a new way of fighting.
one of the best uses of the wii motion sensors.

for a game that was expected to be terrible because of the other consoles games, it is very good. it may take some time to get used to the control scheme but once you get the hang of it all then it all just falls into place. the konquest mode was more dull than the one in deception though since you are forced to do specific tasks while in deception you could do anything you want to and while on the way you can do some side tasks but nothing major. motor kombat is KOOL, it uses the wii's motion sensors to allow you to turn the wii-mote and this turns your car. is a fun mini-game version of need for speed carbon with some twists and abilities added onto that. lastley is the fighting and kreate a player modes. for fighting they now have a survival game in which you fight on coming enemies one after another and you keep all the damage you take each round until you lose all of your life. but you do get back some health if you can beat three kombatants in a row. and the kreate a player mode is awesome since you are able to do whatever you want to with the character you are making which includes skin color, hair color, hats, armor, moves, etc. so if you are looking for a game that has nothing but blood and guts and you are causing it then you should check out Armageddon.
