Lets talk about these "shortcomings" everyone mentions.

Pros Cons
Addictive gameplay Not enough content
Innovative concepts

I admit it, i likedFable 2. But rather than just write praise for it like everyone else, I'll talk about what problems i have with the game.
You may think that Not Enough Content is a ridiculous claim for this game. But, while there is alot to do, there is too much missing that I loved about Fable. The real estate aspect of the game is fun, but that's really the only compelling side feature in the game. There is absolutely no armor in the game. Yes, an RPG without stat armor. You can no longer buy cards with new hair or tattoos on them, and must wander around until you find a vendor with the you want. While there are dyes available to customize clothing, the number of cloths you can buy has been drastically reduced. While there are more weapon types available, the diversity of these weapons have been reduced as well. There are about 4 legendary weapons available, there are only 2 major towns in the game... there is just so much missing that I loved about Fable that I miss. I managed to buy an outfit i liked within 2 hours of playing the game, but I never added a single garment to my outfit because there were no new ones introduced throughout the entire game. The weapon levels have been reduced, having thrown out Obsidian weapons entirely. The number of items available feels completely shallow.
There are alot of things other than items left out as well. You can no longer be a professional thief; you can steal things from dressers, but you can no longer sneak, pick locks, and steal items from stores. The number of Demon Doors has been drastically reduced, a total of nine, but the items they offer haven't been respectively increased. There are no more Bows, only crossbows. There are just so many things i miss about it...
The world of Fable 2 is praised as being 10 times larger than Fable, but there were still more areas to explore in the original. A VAST majority of the land comes from the central hub, Bower Lake, which most of the areas in the game branch off of. But there is no reason to actually go there. There are few secrets to discover there, and most of the time you will fast travel through this area alltogether. If you took out this area, i'd it would take about half the area out of Fable 2. Which is still big, but I ended up feeling like I was lied to.
Despite the increased game size, the Main Quest line is actually SHORTER than the original. I avoided doing side-quests and managed to get through the whole game in four and a half hours, and I took my time to level up some things. And the story itself does not feel very engrossing. The villian is extraordinarily lame, you are never quite sure until the VERY end exactly why he's doing all of his general evilness, and when I finally fought him, there was no epic finally boss fight. He simply sat there, waiting for me to shoot him in the face with fire. I was very disappointed with the story.
My last problem is something I can't even really accurately describe. The game gives you a real feel that your consequences have actions in the world, but at the same time I did not feel connected to the world. Adding a modern element to the game was a nice touch, but it removed many of the fantasy elements of the game that made it compelling in the first place.
I like this game, don't get me wrong. Its fun, and almost all of the new elements it adds it does perfectly. But, I just can't bring myself to love a game when I spend the entire time lamenting things that are gone. You'll have a great time with it, and there's enough replay value to suggest a purchase, but I don't think a game deserves a perfect score when I spent the most time imagining the game that could have been.

MONEY EXPLOIT
Unplug ur computer from xbox live. Go to console settings and change the year to 2025. log into your game and recieve lots of money..(the money depends on the properties you own) Then replug the internet cable and save and connect to xbox...the time will automatically re-adjust to 2008 and you can save and continue, THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ACHIEVEMENTS!!

ACHIEVEMENT EXPLOIT
When you get to the shitty end of game choice of which card to select as a reward for saving albion, select one, get the 25G achievement and turn off your xbox. Reload your game and go through the 2 minute end game sequence and choose a different card, repeat untill you have selected each card!

Ok, Fable 2, nice looking....thats it.

Just to rant a wee bit, there are a number of factors which make the game unique but flawed..

Ok so you wanted to choose, GOOD or EVIL? Dont choose evil! Its the most annoying thing ever to walk into a town and everyone to constantly scream and run away from you...including the game masters!

Expressions When you try to flirt or use expressions, the people around the person you want to flirt with fall in love with you too, including men! Then, when you walk around Bowerstone men follow you also, and if they are shop keepers...like the alchemist its a pain in the arse if your waiting for the shop to open!

The spell casting. Lets say you want to slow ur enemies down in order to charge a large spell to annihalate them...if you dont charge the time spell long enough the monsters will never be frozen long enough for the spell to be effective and you'll still get hit anyway....so Pointless as an area spell.

Shooting. Ok so u want to target someone and you've spent experience in your aiming ability.. why is it so f*ckin hard to target specific parts of the body? One of the achievements is virtually impossible to get on purpose!

Most of all the story is rubbish... could be a good concept but its poorly conveyed by the team who made the game. I mean, final boss....no battle! WTF! I completed this game in about 6 hours... absolutely annoying.

Legendary weapons? They arent so legendary... you can buy the best weapons from the blacksmiths and augment them with a SMALL Variety of Effects. Needless to say, there is a MINIMAL amount of clothing and i find it hard to support that fact!

Secrets on this game are poor....u get nothing worth spending the time on getting for completing silly voluntary dungeons.. so dont bother..complete it, get some achievements and move on FAST!

Fun and Addicting, While it Lasts That Is

Pros Cons
Loads of content Not enough content
Addictive gameplay Terrible multiplayer

Just plain fun

Fable 2 comes closer to realizing Peter Molyneux's ambition for the original Fable, but still falls a little short. The scope of the world is much larger and there is more to do, from larger-scale pursuits like affecting a town's economy to smaller details like keeping your family happy. These little 'extras' are the main attraction of the game and are what sets Fable 2 apart from other console RPG's, and while they are fun, they unfortunately didn't quite leave me satisfied enough to forgive the incredibly short and easy main story. I only 'died' twice in the game, that is, I was defeated and instantly revived with full health to continue my battle twice. And that was only because I was stripped of all my items and given a crappy sword + a couple of potions and then asked to defeat waves of some of the tougher enemies in the game and then a boss. I do have to admire the game's little details like novels and diaries that you can read as quick summaries for a little more insight into some of the characters and the history of Albion since the events of the original game, and I still come back to play every now and then to check up on the world and the goings on within it. There is lots of fun to be had with the game, especially for people like me who like to explore and complete every aspect of the game and get all the achievements, but I still go back to the game and can't believe that I'm already done with the entree and am now just licking my fingers. And the multiplayer sucks, I'll just leave it at that.

Fable 2 just plain fun

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Terrible multiplayer
Engaging story
Loads of content
Addictive gameplay
Just plain fun

The pros and cons show what kind of game it is. This game has alot of detail that will keep you occupied for hours at a time. With added features with family life and being able to buy any building in the game just adds to the funfactor. The only con that I didnt like was the controls on online co op, the online co op was not terrible I still enjoyed it . Alot of lag however and you cant control the camera view at all. Even though you cant control the camera my friend and I still had a blast for hours at a time. This can be fixed with a patch and hopefully they do so that way everyone can enjoy the online experience. If you liked the original you will like the second. A must buy for hardcore fans of the series, a buy for 360 owners, and a rental if your new and just want to find out what its all about. This is however my opinion the only way to find out if this game is for you is to just play it yourself.

Nice Job LionHead

I think this game will be succesful, it have good graphics, new cool combat movement, the world is now bigger, you can marry and have children and you can influence that child to be good or evil, You can be the king of the whole world. They added a friendly dog to help you. You can choose your gender. Finally you can be a farmer, and etc. The major points were for the graphics,a lot bigger world than fable one, the combat movement, the ability to influence your child and being a the king of the whole world by owning everything.

Fable 2 Review

I am A huge Fable Fan I have and continue to play fable and fable the lost chapters. I have beaten both of them and i still cant stop playing them. From what I gather fable 2 takes place 500 years after they first fables .I think it is going to be 10 x better then the others for several reasons ; you can have kids and also you can own entire towns and villages, they have also introduced early guns ,etc.I think it is going to be awsome! But youll have to make that judgement yourself!

High Hopes Confirmed

Pros Cons
Loads of content Poor storytelling
Addictive gameplay
Innovative concepts
Just plain fun

These are my hopes for Fable 2, not a review. My score reflects how good I'm at least hoping it will turn out to be.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I loved the first one even though it was too short. Hopefully the second one will be a lot longer while keeping the elements of the first game that made it so great. There was something about the fairytale setting of the first one that I loved. The voice acting and the music all worked together to create a unique experience. If they can keep this same feeling with Fable 2 while making it longer I will be extremely happy.
Update: Fable 2 turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for down to the last detail. 4.5/5 score is well deserved. My only complaint is that the story was a bit of a letdown.
