Single Player Campaign The single player is a step forward in the right direction from CoD2. There are more open environments. No two times you play is the same. The natural elements come to life as you clear through Germans, such as the trees and bushes waving in the breeze. There is also the ability to throw back grenades as well as throw them to explode at the right time. Single player is great in every way....except.........no co-op. There's really no reason not to have co-op in any game anymore. The original Halo had co-op and that came out years ago. There are great characters with realistic facial expressions and body language. Each country you fight for has its own soldier you fight as. The details of people isn't significantly better than Call of Duty 2. The graphics are about the same. Multiplayer Multiplayer's alright for the most part. You can choose your own soldier type and fight with the weapons given to you, based on the soldier you picked. Up to four people can play on each console. System connect is supported for additional players. Up to 24 people can play online. Each level has many spots to take cover realistically. The maps are huge, big enough to fit 24 players. For some, that's the problem. The maps have so much space, it's pointless to play unless you have xbox live. If you have xbox live, it's excellent. If you don't have it.....well you're out of luck. There's the addition of drivable vehicles in CoD3. You can drive tanks, jeeps, motorcycles etc. The controls for these are shallow. It's hard to ride along through a path without hitting many trees and having to back up to reposition myself back on the track. When playing online, don't try to run through shooting people and expect to live. I tried to play it like i would play Halo 2 and it is not nearly the same. You have to take a tactical position on the enemy and take him out safely and conservatively. This adds an intense sense of realism. Extra Content There are extra maps available to download in the marketplace. It's not a good deal. The game already costs 60 bucks. They kind've force you to buy them. If you don't have them, you can't play many games online because most games will require the new maps.
A little less than COD2

But still a good game. Actually in areas like graphics and sound it exceeds COD2. The game also adds some cool elements like wrestling with enemies and driving more vehicles. The onle bone I have to pick with this game is the "getting stuck on the terrain" problem. There are some areas where I guess you are not suppoesed to go but it is a way that a normal human can. Like a door with a patch of grass in front of it that stops you from exiting. makes the game fustratingly confining. Still a good game to play.
The best adrenaline rush I ever had.

This game should have a game of the year award from someone. The game has amazing and jaw-dropping graphics. The gameplay is a little repetitave but not egnough to drop the score since, sometimes it gets mixed up. The story is very historically accurate and it's fun to see each countries point of view in the Allies. Xbox Live is great hardly any modders and the o-ccasional mods are not impossible to beat. In a nutshell it's the best World War II shooter I have ever touched. It is also one of the best shooters I have ever even touched and owned!
Have I Played This Before?

Call of Duty 3 is a sequel at heart so it is no surprise that it is similar to the first game (that I bought and enjoyed) with a few minor upgrades. But don't take this as "dont buy" take it as "this is better than the original" you now can use vechiles in on-foot single player missions along with scripted hand-to-hand combat button-mashing scenes. The main upgrade is the ability to 'cook' a grenade then throw it. This upgrade is less helpful in X-box live than single-player.
Another good shooter from the Call of Duty Franchise

Call of Duty is my favorite game series. I think Call of Duty kicked off great and as the third generation of a good game you creat a great game. The graphics for the new part of the series compared to cod 2 on 360 are phenemonal they are much better and some of the kinks have been worked out. The missions are kind of the same but in different situations but the same format. But the reason i play is the multiplayer. The 24 players in a match is a great feature because you just have a broader amount of people. Also you can choose if you want to go into an all out war then go to about a 20 player match but if you want to play with a little more finnesse go to a 10 player match. I also like the rolls and how they put you in the position of that type of rank in the army. There are two thing i dont like though. The fact that you can not see how the person killed you and the new capture the flag where you can not shoot while you are carrying the flag.

When I first bought this game I thought that I would be blown away by the visuals and intense gameplay that hooked me on Call of Duty 2. Alas... Infinity Ward has handed the sequel over to Treyarch so that they may begin work on the 4th entry in the series. Basically, COD3 is a complete retelling of COD2 but in different locales. In my honest opinion this game isn't even worth to carry a number. It should be classified as an expansion pack because it does nothing that Call of Duty 2 didn't do better. Sure there is more action on screen as well as a story, but since when has a WWII game needed a story? Isn't the war itself a good enought story? The controls are the same as COD2, but the graphics do look slightly better especially the enhanced water and smoke effects. However, better graphics and smoke does not a good game make. All in all, COD3 is at least worth a rental. The game is worth at least one play throught and you will occasionally enjoy yourself as you slaughter countless Nazis. The WWII genre is a dying breed and this game is just another nail in the inevitable caskit of the WWII genre of games.

This game is tite but the overall falt of the game is the muti-player. I can't tell you how many glichis are in this game and it is like murder to get in to a ranked match. The story rocked my world and made me think about joining the army. Still the WWII game to get if you have a 360 and you don't have this game you don't know what your missing! thumbs up.
Great Game

This game is really good. The single player is awesome (the american levels are the best) and the muliplayer is great too. However, CoD3 still isn't as good as the second one. But, the multiplayer on this game beats Call of Duty 2 big time! Even though this game singple player campaign isn't as good as the previous Call of Duty, I still think this is a game that you should buy.
